KFNZ (610 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Kansas City, Missouri. The Audacy, Inc.-owned station broadcasts a sports radio format. Its studios and offices are located on Squibb Road in Mission, Kansas. KFNZ is one of the oldest radio stations in the Kansas City metropolitan area, going on the air in 1922. KFNZ is a Class B regional station, with a power of 5,000 watts, both the daytime and nighttime, using a non-directional antenna on one tower. The transmitter is off Mission Road in Prairie Village, Kansas. Programming is also heard on the HD2 channel of KFNZ-FM. Local sports shows are heard from mornings to early evenings on weekdays, with programming from Fox Sports Radio airing nights and weekends. Although the station had the slogan "The Football Channel" when it began in June 2003, it is currently the flagship station of MLB's Kansas City Royals, whose rights were reacquired by Entercom (now Audacy) in 2008. It is also the co-flagship station of the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs. The Kansas State Wildcats radio network is also heard on KFNZ.

Shawnee Mission East High School is a public high school in Prairie Village, Kansas, United States, for grades 9 through 12. It is one of five high schools operated by the Shawnee Mission USD 512 school district. Shawnee Mission East High School was established in 1958 in order to serve the growing population of northeast Johnson County, Kansas. In January 1994, Shawnee Mission East began offering the International Baccalaureate program.Shawnee Mission East is a member of the Kansas State High School Activities Association and offers a variety of sports programs. Athletic teams compete in the 6A division and are known as the Lancers. Extracurricular activities are also offered in the form of performing arts, school publications, and clubs.

Indian Hills Country Club is a private club and golf course in Mission Hills, Kansas. The club was organized as the Community Golf Club in 1919 by J.C. Nichols on land adjoining Mission Hills Country Club. In 1922 it temporarily moved to land that is now Kansas City Country Club. Membership was open to anybody in the Nichols-developed subdivision of Mission Hills with an annual fee of $30 and $5 for each family member.In 1925, Kansas City Country Club took over the course and Nichols helped organize Indian Hills Country Club. A.W. Tillinghast designed the course.The three clubs became the most socially desirable in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The Nichols strategy to create the three clubs was to make Kansas more attractive to upscale buyers who had previously not wanted to leave Kansas City, Missouri.The original clubhouse was replaced in 1972. The new clubhouse was renovated from 1997 to 2001 and again in 2009.The course is an 18-hole, 6,474 yard par 70.

The church was founded in 1949 with 282 members, and has since grown to be one of the largest Presbyterian Churches in America with a reported 4,789 members in 2013. The Horn–Vincent–Russell Estate is a historic mansion in Mission Hills, Kansas, U.S.. It was built from 1929 to 1931 for Phoebe and John Horn. It was designed by architect Edward Tanner in the Tudor Revival style.. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 25, 1997.

Ward Parkway Center, Ward Parkway Mall, or Ward Parkway Shopping Center is a shopping center located in Kansas City, Missouri on the Kansas/Missouri border line. The location surrounds the area on the North from 85th Terrace to 89th Street on the South and on the West from State Line Road to Ward Parkway on the East. Once a two floor mall with a food court it now has one floor with the first floor enclosed. The mall itself is currently in a redevelopment phase and has been in business since 1959. Former stores Sam Goody, Gap, T.G.I. Friday's, The Limited, and Winstead's. Ward Parkway Center is the location of the first modern movie multiplex, with its original two screens (since renovated and expanded to 14 screens) still operated by AMC Theatres. Originally a tiny two-screen theater located near Montgomery Ward, later expanded to the new complex.

Ward Parkway is a boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. Ward Parkway begins at Brookside Boulevard on the eastern edge of the Country Club Plaza and travels west 2.8 miles along Brush Creek as U.S. Route 56 before turning south near Kansas-Missouri state line. It continues south for 4 miles, terminating at Wornall Road near Bannister Road. A short spur, Brush Creek Parkway, connects Ward Parkway to Shawnee Mission Parkway at State Line Road. The street is named after the family of local businessman and real estate tycoon Seth E. Ward (1820-1903), who owned property on both sides of the parkway. His family's mansion is located at 1032 West 55th Street along Ward Parkway and remains on the National Register of Historic Places.Ward Parkway has a wide, landscaped median, which is decorated with fountains and statuary. Many of Kansas City's finest large houses are along Ward Parkway as part of the planned Country Club District.

Rockhurst High School is a private, Roman Catholic, Jesuit, all-boys, preparatory school founded in 1910 along with Rockhurst College, in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. It moved away from the College in 1962 to a campus on State Line Road in Kansas City. Rockhurst is accredited by the North Central Education Association and is a member of the North Central Education Association of Independent College Preparatory Schools, the Jesuit Secondary Education Association, and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (and its regional affiliates).

Kansas Christian College is a private, four-year Christian college in Overland Park, Kansas, United States, affiliated with the Church of God (Holiness). The college is accredited with the Association for Biblical Higher Education, a commission recognized by United States Department of Education. The sports programs associated fielded by Kansas Christian College are nicknamed the Falcons, and compete in the NCCAA.
