Ward Parkway Center, Ward Parkway Mall, or Ward Parkway Shopping Center is a shopping center located in Kansas City, Missouri on the Kansas/Missouri border line. The location surrounds the area on the North from 85th Terrace to 89th Street on the South and on the West from State Line Road to Ward Parkway on the East. Once a two floor mall with a food court it now has one floor with the first floor enclosed. The mall itself is currently in a redevelopment phase and has been in business since 1959. Former stores Sam Goody, Gap, T.G.I. Friday's, The Limited, and Winstead's. Ward Parkway Center is the location of the first modern movie multiplex, with its original two screens (since renovated and expanded to 14 screens) still operated by AMC Theatres. Originally a tiny two-screen theater located near Montgomery Ward, later expanded to the new complex.

The Herman J. and Ella B. Voigts House is a historic house in Leawood, Kansas, U.S.. It was built in 1923 for Herman J. Voigts, the president of the First National Bank of Olathe, and his wife Ella Busch. It was designed in the Prairie School architectural style. The couple died in 1970 and 1956 respectively, and their daughter Anna Lois Dubach lived in the inherited house until her death in 1992. It was purchased by Barry Grissom in 1993. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since May 18, 1995.

The Trailside Center is a tourist center, museum, and community facility in Kansas City, Missouri. The center is located at the intersection of Holmes Road and East 99th Street. Items on display include exhibits of Civil War items related to the Battle of Westport as well as items related to the Santa Fe, Oregon, and California trails. The center is staffed by volunteers. The center also serves as a meeting place for public forums, discussions, and other events.

This Roman Catholic school was founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Sion in 1912. The all-girls high school campus is located in South Kansas City, and the co-educational grade school campus is located in the Hyde Park neighborhood. The two campuses are about 10 miles apart.

Dyke Branch is a stream in the U.S. states of Kansas and Missouri. It is a tributary of Indian Creek. The headwaters are in eastern Kansas at 38°59′22″N 94°37′08″W and the confluence with Indian Creek is in Missouri at 38°57′08″N 94°34′40″W.Dyke Branch has the name of the local Dyke family.

KFNZ (610 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Kansas City, Missouri. The Audacy, Inc.-owned station broadcasts a sports radio format. Its studios and offices are located on Squibb Road in Mission, Kansas. KFNZ is one of the oldest radio stations in the Kansas City metropolitan area, going on the air in 1922. KFNZ is a Class B regional station, with a power of 5,000 watts, both the daytime and nighttime, using a non-directional antenna on one tower. The transmitter is off Mission Road in Prairie Village, Kansas. Programming is also heard on the HD2 channel of KFNZ-FM. Local sports shows are heard from mornings to early evenings on weekdays, with programming from Fox Sports Radio airing nights and weekends. Although the station had the slogan "The Football Channel" when it began in June 2003, it is currently the flagship station of MLB's Kansas City Royals, whose rights were reacquired by Entercom (now Audacy) in 2008. It is also the co-flagship station of the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs. The Kansas State Wildcats radio network is also heard on KFNZ.

Woolford Farm raised thoroughbred race horses in eastern Kansas, in what is now the city of Prairie Village, a suburb of Kansas City. The 200-acre (0.81 km2) was owned by Herbert M. Woolf. Trainer Ben A. Jones worked there before going to Calumet Farm in Lexington, Kentucky. Woolf had hired Ben Jones after he had established a reputation of training and breeding horses at the family ranch in Parnell, Missouri. Ben was accompanied by his son Jimmy Jones. After Lawrin won the Kentucky Derby the two trainers went to work for Warren Wright, Sr. at Calumet Farm. Waldo is a neighborhood located in south Kansas City, Missouri, that has continued to maintain its own unique character, even though it was annexed by Kansas City in 1909. Waldo's boundaries are Gregory Boulevard on the north to 85th Street on the south, and Holmes Street on the east to Ward Parkway on the west.
