King's Somborne War Memorial

King's Somborne is a village in Hampshire, England. The village lies on the edge of the valley of the River Test.

Testway is a 5-mile (8 km) off-road cycle path in Hampshire, England. The path follows the route of the disused Sprat and Winkle Line between Stonymarsh and Stockbridge and runs in between the River Test and the A3057 road. The Testway is part of regional cycle route 65 which connects national cycle route 24 to Chilbolton. There is parking at the southern end of the cycle path, however there is a 6-foot (1.8 m) height restriction on the entrance to the car park. There is also parking close by to the northern end of the cycle path off Cow Drove Hill.

Horsebridge is a small village in the civil parish of King's Somborne in the Test Valley district of Hampshire, England. Its nearest town is Stockbridge, which lies approximately 3.6 miles (5.2 km) north-east from the village. The village has one pub, named the John O'Gaunt Inn.The village formerly had its own railway station, which ran between Romsey and Andover on the Sprat and Winkle Line, but this was closed down in 1962.

Horsebridge was a railway station on the closed Sprat and Winkle Line which served the Hampshire village of Houghton. It closed in 1964, a casualty of the closure programme proposed by the Beeching Axe which sounded the death knell for many rural railway stations.

Marshcourt, also spelled Marsh Court, is an Arts and Crafts style country house in Marsh Court, near Stockbridge, Hampshire, England. It is constructed from quarried chalk. Designed and built by architect Edwin Lutyens between 1901 and 1905, it is a Grade I listed building. The gardens, designed by Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll, are Grade II* listed in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

Marsh Court is a hamlet in the civil parish of Stockbridge in the Test Valley district of Hampshire, England. It is in the civil parish of Kings Somborne. Its nearest town is Stockbridge, which lies approximately 0.7 miles (1.4 km) north from the hamlet. In the hamlet is Marshcourt, an Arts and Crafts style country house designed and built by architect Edwin Lutyens between 1901 and 1905, and for which Lutyens and Gertrude Jekyll created the garden.

Houghton ( HOH-tən) is a small village and civil parish in the Test Valley district of Hampshire, England. The village is situated alongside the River Test. Its nearest town is Stockbridge, which lies approximately 1.8 miles (3 km) to the north-east. The village is a dispersed linear settlement, mostly strung out along the single road through the village, which broadly follows the course of the River Test north-south. Houghton is dominated by substantial agricultural/sporting estates at each end, the Houghton Lodge estate to the north and the Bossington estate to the south. Each owns a number of properties in the village.

Stockbridge Common Marsh is a 64.8-hectare (160-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south of Stockbridge in Hampshire. It is owned by the National Trust.This site stretches for 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) along the flood plain of the River Test. It has wetland habitats including marsh, fen, carr, alluvial meadows and a large shallow lake. The marsh has a rich variety of flora, with 180 species of flowering plants, including bog pimpernel, adder’s-tongue fern, marsh valerian and bogbean.

The Church of St John the Baptist, Upper Eldon, is a redundant Anglican church in the parish of King's Somborne, Hampshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church stands in the grounds of Eldon House, to the east of the A3057 road, some 4 miles (6 km) south of Stockbridge.

Houghton Lodge is a Grade II* listed house on the River Test in Hampshire, England which was built in the 1790s, probably intended as a fishing lodge. The architect is more than likely John Plaw, a disciple of John Nash for the Barnard family. Houghton Lodge is England's finest surviving example of a Cottage Ornée.

North Houghton is a hamlet in the civil parish of Houghton in the Test Valley district of Hampshire, England. Its nearest town is Stockbridge, which lies approximately 1.2 miles (2.4 km) east from the hamlet.

The Test Way is a 44-mile (71 km) long-distance footpath in England from Walbury Hill in West Berkshire to Eling in Hampshire, which follows much of the course of the River Test. The northern end of the footpath starts in the car park on Walbury Hill. It passes through the towns of Romsey and Totton and the villages of Linkenholt, Ibthorpe, Hurstbourne Tarrant, St Mary Bourne, Longparish, Forton, Wherwell, Chilbolton, Stockbridge, Horsebridge and Mottisfont. The southern end of the footpath is at Eling Quay. The trail also passes alongside Horsebridge railway station. Much of the route between Kimbridge and Chilbolton follows the route of the former Andover and Redbridge Railway. The entire route is waymarked by metal and plastic disks found attached to wooden and metal posts, trees and street furniture. There are several wooden 'finger' signs along the route that count down the number of miles along the footpath in both directions. This route is shown as a series of green diamonds on Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 maps and as a series of red diamonds on Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 maps Walbury Hill is also the start of the Wayfarers Walk.
