Garvin Park

Bosse Field is a baseball stadium located in Evansville, Indiana. Opened in 1915, it was the first municipally owned sports stadium in the United States and is the third-oldest ballpark still in regular use for professional baseball, surpassed only by Fenway Park (1912) in Boston and Wrigley Field (1914) in Chicago.It is the home field for the professional Evansville Otters of the independent Frontier League, as well as high school and American Legion games, and in the past hosted spring training for the Detroit Tigers, college baseball, high school, college, and NFL football, college soccer, and concerts. Six Baseball Hall of Fame members played for Evansville teams at Bosse Field during their minor league careers, including Chuck Klein, Hank Greenberg, Warren Spahn, Bob Uecker, Bert Blyleven and Jack Morris. The historic stadium was also used in 1991 by Columbia Pictures for filming numerous game scenes in the 1992 comedy-drama, A League of Their Own.

Koester/Patburg House is a historic home located at Evansville, Indiana. It was built in 1873–1874, and is a two-story, rectangular, Italianate style brick dwelling. It has a low-pitched front gable roof and features a bracketed cornice and paneled frieze and original slatted shutters. It has a porch and porte cochere added in the 1920s. It was originally built as the country home of a wholesale grocer.: 2–3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Hose House No. 12, also known as Bassemier's Gas Grills, Inc., is a historic fire station located at Evansville, Indiana. It was designed by the architecture firm Harris & Shopbell and built in 1908. It is a two-story, rectangular red brick building with an arched entranceway. It features a campanile style tower with a saddleback roof that one housed the station's bells.: 2, 3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Hose House No. 10, also known as Old Hose House No. 10, is a historic fire station located at Evansville, Indiana. The Italianate style brick structure was built in December 1888 to serve the then-northeast side. A tower attached to the building was removed in 1947. In 1977 the fire department moved to a new station on the opposite side of Columbia Street.: 2, 3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Jacobsville is a neighborhood located within the north-central area of Evansville, Indiana. It is generally bounded by the Lloyd Expressway in the south, First Ave. to the west, Diamond Ave. to the north, and on the east by N. Garvin Street. In the northern portion of the district is Garvin Park and Bosse Field , the third-oldest continuous running ballpark used for professional baseball in the country. In 1991 the historic stadium was used by Columbia Pictures for game scenes in the movie A League of Their Own.

Deaconess Midtown Hospital is a hospital in Evansville, Indiana. It is part of the Deaconess Health System. The hospital has 249 private one person rooms for inpatients. Admittedly it can serve 58 people at a time in its outpatient services.It was known as Deaconess Hospital until August 2017, when it assumed its current name. Before it received a distinct name, it was informally distinguished from other Deaconess hospitals by the community as the Main Hospital, the Downtown Hospital, or the Hospital on Mary Street.

Evansville Lutheran School is a private, Lutheran parochial elementary school located in Evansville, Indiana, in the United States. Established in 1971, Evansville Lutheran School is the first parochial Lutheran school. The school is affiliated with the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.

The Academy for Innovative Studies are two campuses located on Diamond Avenue and First Avenue in Evansville, Indiana, USA. It is a member of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. In 2012, the EVSC School Board decided to invest more money in students who are at risk and learn differently from traditional student and open another AIS campus. The new AIS campus at the old North High School was opened in fall 2012.

Rex Mundi High School was a Catholic high school in Evansville, Indiana. Its name comes from the Latin King of the World. The premises are now used for Ivy Tech Community College's Evansville Campus. It opened in the fall of 1958 in a rapidly expanding area close to what was then the north city limits of Evansville. The Country Club Meadows and Country Club Manor subdivisions opened in the early to mid 1950s in the immediate vicinity of the Rex Mundi site. At the time of the opening of the high school, the Diocese of Evansville maintained a strict policy requiring those registered in Catholic parishes to send their children to diocesan schools. While it required an entrance exam for admissions (and exempted those who failed from the required attendance in the Catholic school system), Rex Mundi benefited from the diocesan attendance policy and soon was full to overflowing. The school was closed by the diocese in March 1972. Famous alumni include former All-American quarterback Bob Griese.

The Willard Library is a private donation library incorporated in 1881 to serve the city of Evansville, Indiana, and to carry out the terms of a private trust. The Willard Library houses a trove of local archives and genealogical materials in addition to its collection of standard publications. It is built in the Gothic Revival style, designed by James W. Reid (of Reid & Reid). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Little Pigeon River or Little Pigeon Creek is a stream located in northwestern Spencer County and northeastern Warrick County, Indiana. The 1,000 acre watershed feeds marshland which, when the stream is high, provides a good habitat for ducks. It was the site of the Little Pigeon Creek Community, Abraham Lincoln's Indiana boyhood home, now the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial.
