Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. In 2017, the airport served 9,264,611 passengers. As of April 2017, the airport features flights to 74 destinations, mostly in Europe and Northern Africa with a few additional seasonal long-haul connections.Both Airbus and ATR manufacture aircraft at nearby facilities and test them from the airport.

The Stade Ernest-Wallon (French pronunciation: ​[stad ɛɾnɛ-walõ]; Occitan: Estadi Ernest-Wallon; lit. 'Stadium of Ernest Wallon') is a multi-purpose stadium located in the Sept Deniers district of Toulouse, in southwestern France. Airbus Industrie Flight 129 was an Airbus Industrie A330-321 test flight that ended in a crash on 30 June 1994 at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, killing all seven people aboard. The last test flown was to certify the plane's takeoff capability with a single engine failure. It was the first fatal accident involving an Airbus A330 as well as the first hull loss of the type. It remained the only fatal accident involving an A330 until the crash of Air France Flight 447 on 1 June 2009.

Beauzelle (French pronunciation: ​[bozɛl]; Occitan: Bausèla) is a commune in the Haute-Garonne department in southwestern France.

The Stade des Ponts Jumeaux (the "Twin Bridges Stadium") was a rugby union stadium, inaugurated on 24 November 1907, in the Ponts Jumeaux district of Toulouse, south-western France. The land was purchased by the embryonic Stade Toulousain rugby team – with financial assistance from city notables – then headed by a law professor from the University of Toulouse, Ernest Wallon. The stadium, nicknamed Le Wallon, had a capacity of 6500 and hosted many internationals during its existence. In the early 1980s, the land on which the stadium stood was compulsorily purchased to make way for the Toulouse ringroad and the Stade Toulousain moved from the Ponts Jumeaux to a new stadium at Sept-Deniers, later renamed Stade Ernest-Wallon. One of the pavilions at Stade Ernest-Wallon is named after the Ponts Jumeaux.

Aeroscopia is a French aerospace museum, located at the north-western edge of Toulouse, in the commune of Blagnac. It was opened on 14 January 2015.This museum notably hosts two Concorde airliners.
