Stade Ernest-Wallon

The Stade des Ponts Jumeaux (the "Twin Bridges Stadium") was a rugby union stadium, inaugurated on 24 November 1907, in the Ponts Jumeaux district of Toulouse, south-western France. The land was purchased by the embryonic Stade Toulousain rugby team – with financial assistance from city notables – then headed by a law professor from the University of Toulouse, Ernest Wallon. The stadium, nicknamed Le Wallon, had a capacity of 6500 and hosted many internationals during its existence. In the early 1980s, the land on which the stadium stood was compulsorily purchased to make way for the Toulouse ringroad and the Stade Toulousain moved from the Ponts Jumeaux to a new stadium at Sept-Deniers, later renamed Stade Ernest-Wallon. One of the pavilions at Stade Ernest-Wallon is named after the Ponts Jumeaux.

The Port de l'Embouchure (English: Port of Mouth) is one of the two ports located in Toulouse on the Canal du Midi. The other being the Port Saint-Sauveur. This port is located in the basin at the Ponts Jumeaux (English: Twin Bridges). From the basin are found the entrances to the canals Canal de Garonne, Canal du Midi and Canal de Brienne.

The Ponts Jumeaux (English: Twin Bridges) is the point at which the Canal du Midi joins the Canal de Garonne and the River Garonne, via the Canal de Brienne. It was built in 1774 by Joseph-Marie de Saget, a civil engineer in the province of Languedoc in Toulouse. In fact, there are three bridges, each of which is the entrance to a canal. The entrance to the Canal du Midi is in the center. The Canal de Garonne to the north. The Canal de Brienne to the south. The north bridge was added during construction of the Canal de Garonne in 1844. For boats to turn from one canal into another, the close quarters usually require them to proceed into the basin and turn before going into the next canal. The basin contains the Port de l'Embouchure.

Le Stade Chapou (or Stade Jacques-Chapou) was a stadium that was located on rue des Amidonniers in Toulouse. It was called Stade du T.O.E.C. before World War II, then Stade du Général Huntziger during the war, then Stade Chapou after the war (in tribute to Jacques Chapou (1909-1944), French Resistant). The stadium was destroyed in 1965 for building a residence of students for the faculty.

Its source is in the département of Haute-Garonne, near Lilhac. It was founded in 1990 by Jean-Jacques Laffont. The IDEI serves a dual purpose: allowing the University of Toulouse I to be competitive at an international level; providing administrations and companies with an interface between their activities and economic research. IDEI tackles both theoretical and applied economic problems and supplies state-of-the-art tools developed by economic research to decision-makers in eight research areas: Industrial Organization, Regulation and Competition Policy Innovation and Intellectual Property Insurance, Banking and Finance Energy, Environment, Agriculture Macroeconomics, Growth and International Economics Economics of Developing Countries and in Transition Countries Methodology: Econometrics, Statistics and Economic Theory Public Economics, Health, Labour and EducationThe department is particularly well known for its work in industrial organization and in the economics of information.
