Iffley is a village in a designated Conservation Area in Oxfordshire, England. It lies within the boundaries of the city of Oxford, between Cowley and the estates of Rose Hill and Donnington, and in proximity to the River Thames (Isis). A notable feature is its largely unchanged Norman church, St Mary the Virgin, which has a modern stained glass Nativity window designed by John Piper and another window designed by Roger Wagner. The church is a Grade I listed building.

Rose Hill Cemetery is a cemetery located in Rose Hill, Oxford, England. It was opened in 1889 and has more than 20,000 burials. It covers over 11 acres (45,000 m2) and has a Victorian chapel. The cemetery is closed to new burials.The cemetery contains 28 Commonwealth graves from World War I, and 58 from World War II.Edward Brooks (1883–1944), recipient of the Victoria Cross in World War I, is buried in Rose Hill.

Greyfriars Catholic School is a mixed Roman Catholic secondary school with academy status, located in Cowley, Oxfordshire, England. At the end of the 2021–22 academic year, the school was renamed from St Gregory the Great Catholic School.It is one of only two state-funded Catholic schools offering secondary education in that county, the other being Blessed George Napier Roman Catholic School in Banbury. The previous executive principal John Hussey, joined the school as acting headteacher in 2008. He later was appointed to the role of permanent headteacher in the spring term of 2009. The school converted to academy status in April 2013, and became the lead school in the Dominic Barberi Multi-Academy Company a month later. In June 2020 however, St Gregory's, along with several of the other schools formerly in the Dominic Barberi Multi-Academy Company joined the Pope Francis Multi-Academy Company.Previously, in January 2018 the school announced that the Principal and Vice Principal were "currently on leave", with a new temporary head standing in.

Larkrise Primary School is a coeducational primary school located in East Oxford in the English county of Oxfordshire. It is located near to Greyfriars Catholic School. Larkrise opened in April 1972, admitting children from the infant school of Donnington Council School. The buildings were hit by a major fire in 1973.Larkrise became an academy on 1 February 2019, joining the River Learning Trust.It runs 2 classes for each year, with 30 children in each.

It forms part of the B4495 road and is named after Donnington Bridge, a bridge over the River Thames constructed in the 1960s. Donnington Bridge Road is a major destination for Oxford in terms of sports on the River Thames. It is home to the City of Oxford Rowing Club, a rowing club situated near the junction with Meadow Lane on the southern side of Donnington Bridge, and on the eastern bank of the River Isis (the local name for the Thames). On the northern side, there is a Riverside Centre which has a sea cadets club and offers rowing, canoeing, kayaking and rockclimbing for teenagers.

The Magdalen Ground (also known as the Old Magdalen Ground) was a cricket ground in Oxford, England. The ground was owned by the University of Oxford and used by Magdalen College, a constituent college of the University of Oxford. Originally forming the northern point of Cowley Marsh, the ground was initially associated with the Magdalen College School, whose students played cricket there. By 1829, the Oxford University Cricket Club had been given a part of the marsh where the College School played cricket. In 1851, it was purchased at auction by the University of Oxford and leased to the University Cricket Club. The ground operated as a first-class cricket venue from 1829 to 1880, hosting 69 first-class matches. The University Cricket Club left the ground following the 1880 season to play at the University Parks from 1881.

Littlemore is a district and civil parish in Oxford, England. The civil parish includes part of Rose Hill. It is about 2+1⁄2 miles (4 km) southeast of the city centre of Oxford, between Rose Hill, Blackbird Leys, Cowley, and Sandford-on-Thames. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 5,646, with the electoral ward (which also includes several streets in southern Cowley) having a total population of 6,441.

Littlemore Railway Cutting is a 0.5-hectare (1.2-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest on the southern outskirts of Oxford in Oxfordshire. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.The cutting exposes limestone and clay laid down in mid-Oxfordian stage of the Late Jurassic, around 160 million years ago. The deposit is part of the Stanford Formation, and the clay appears to have been deposited in a channel between coral reefs which then covered the Oxford area.
