Larkrise Primary School is a coeducational primary school located in East Oxford in the English county of Oxfordshire. It is located near to Greyfriars Catholic School. Larkrise opened in April 1972, admitting children from the infant school of Donnington Council School. The buildings were hit by a major fire in 1973.Larkrise became an academy on 1 February 2019, joining the River Learning Trust.It runs 2 classes for each year, with 30 children in each.

The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry War Memorial is a First World War memorial in the Cowley area of Oxford in southern England. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, it commemorates men of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry killed in the conflict; it was unveiled on Armistice Day, 11 November 1923, and has been a grade II listed building since 1972.

The Magdalen Ground (also known as the Old Magdalen Ground) was a cricket ground in Oxford, England. The ground was owned by the University of Oxford and used by Magdalen College, a constituent college of the University of Oxford. Originally forming the northern point of Cowley Marsh, the ground was initially associated with the Magdalen College School, whose students played cricket there. By 1829, the Oxford University Cricket Club had been given a part of the marsh where the College School played cricket. In 1851, it was purchased at auction by the University of Oxford and leased to the University Cricket Club. The ground operated as a first-class cricket venue from 1829 to 1880, hosting 69 first-class matches. The University Cricket Club left the ground following the 1880 season to play at the University Parks from 1881.

Iffley is a village in a designated Conservation Area in Oxfordshire, England. It lies within the boundaries of the city of Oxford, between Cowley and the estates of Rose Hill and Donnington, and in proximity to the River Thames (Isis). A notable feature is its largely unchanged Norman church, St Mary the Virgin, which has a modern stained glass Nativity window designed by John Piper and another window designed by Roger Wagner. The church is a Grade I listed building.

Rose Hill Cemetery is a cemetery located in Rose Hill, Oxford, England. It was opened in 1889 and has more than 20,000 burials. It covers over 11 acres (45,000 m2) and has a Victorian chapel. The cemetery is closed to new burials.The cemetery contains 28 Commonwealth graves from World War I, and 58 from World War II.Edward Brooks (1883–1944), recipient of the Victoria Cross in World War I, is buried in Rose Hill.

Donnington is a small housing estate in Oxford, England located adjacent to the River Thames in the post-war housing developments either side of Donnington Bridge and around Boundary Brook Road. It is bordered by Iffley Village to the south, Iffley Fields to the north and Cowley to the east.The City of Oxford Rowing Club is based by the Donnington Bridge.

St Bartholomew's Chapel, or Bartlemas Chapel, is a small, early-14th-century chapel, built as part of a leper hospital in Oxford, England. Founded in the early 12th century by Henry I, for twelve sick persons and a chaplain, it was granted to Oriel College by Edward III in 1328. During the English Civil War, the chapel and the main range of the hospital were damaged.A Book of Common Prayer evensong is held on the last Sunday of each month, except in December.

Oxford Spires Academy is a state funded secondary school for children aged 11–18 in Glanville Road, East Oxford, England formerly known as Oxford Community School and The Oxford School. Formerly sponsored by the CfBT Education Trust it is currently part of the Anthem Schools Trust.The school has a co-educational student body of 1,087, and has specialist Business and Enterprise College status. Cowley Road is an arterial road in the city of Oxford, England, running southeast from near the city centre at The Plain near Magdalen Bridge, through the inner city area of East Oxford, and to the industrial suburb of Cowley. The central shopping is at 51.746°N 1.232°W / 51.746; -1.232 Cowley Road is also the main shopping street of East Oxford, and in the evenings it is the area's main leisure district. Cowley Road, like most of Oxford, has an ethnically and economically diverse population. This includes significant, long-standing South Asian and Afro-Caribbean communities, who have been joined more recently by East European, Chinese and African arrivals. Alongside these ethnic groups, East Oxford plays host to many members of the city's academic population, both undergraduate and academic staff, and is home to many politically active groups. Cowley Road has high levels of both road traffic and pedestrian traffic, and space for both is limited. In 2005, Oxfordshire County Council invested about £1,000,000 from central government to re-model the busiest part of Cowley Road. The carriageway has been realigned and colourfully resurfaced, the pavements have been repaved, cycle lanes have been enhanced in some places and removed from others and in one section the speed limit has been reduced to 20 miles per hour (32 km/h).

The Friary, formally known as Blessed Agnellus of Pisa Friary, formerly All Saints Convent or St John's Home is a centre of formation for the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor Conventual in Cowley, Oxford, England. The building was constructed in 1873 as the convent of the Anglican Society of All Saints Sisters of the Poor. It is situated between St Mary's Road and Cowley Road, next to St John's Care Home and Helen & Douglas House. The friary and its chapel are Grade II listed buildings.

Donnington Bridge Road is a road in south Oxford, England, in the estate of Donnington.The road starts at Iffley Road and continues until it becomes Weirs Lane, which ends up at Abingdon Road. It forms part of the B4495 road and is named after Donnington Bridge, a bridge over the River Thames constructed in the 1960s. Donnington Bridge Road is a major destination for Oxford in terms of sports on the River Thames. It is home to the City of Oxford Rowing Club, a rowing club situated near the junction with Meadow Lane on the southern side of Donnington Bridge, and on the eastern bank of the River Isis (the local name for the Thames). On the northern side, there is a Riverside Centre which has a sea cadets club and offers rowing, canoeing, kayaking and rockclimbing for teenagers.
