The Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist (Polish: Archikatedra św. Jana Chrzciciela ) or simply Lublin Cathedral in Lublin, Poland is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lublin. It was built between 1592 and 1617 as a church of the Society of Jesus. One of the first baroque churches in Poland, it was modeled after the Chiesa del Gesù in Rome of Giovanni Maria Bernadoni. It is a three-aisled basilica with a wide nave.. It was designated cathedral in the early 19th century, and since 1992, the archdiocesan cathedral.

Post-missionary church and monastery in Lublin - the church of the Transfiguration of Our Lord in Lublin was erected in the years 1717–1730 for a seminary of the Congregation of the Mission, after the suppression of the monastery by Russians during the time of the Partitions of Poland taken over by the diocese. It was built in the Baroque style, laid out on the plan of a Greek cross with a cupola above the transept. The 19th century neo-Gothic chapel adjacent to the church has a modern iconostasis designed by Jerzy Nowosielski and is today used by Greek Catholic alumni. The palace from the first half of the 17th century, with its relief decorated with scenes from Polish history is the oldest part of the monastery. The Neo-Baroque monumental wing of the monastery, designed by Władysław Siennicki, dates back to 1908. The complex is surrounded with a 19th-century neo-Gothic wall.

Kraków Gate is a Gothic city gate in Lublin, Poland. It was built in the 14th century during the reign of King Casimir III the Great. It is a protected monument in Poland. The gate resides within the historic portion of Lublin, which is itself a historic monument of Poland. The tower is one of the last remaining components of the original Lublin city walls. It provided access to routes leading to Kraków. It also features facilities for a trumpeter and a clock.

Perła – Browary Lubelskie S.A. is a Polish brewery. Founded in 1844 in the abandoned ruins of a monastery, in 1846 it began brewing a Helles-style beer using bottom fermenting technology. A second brewery opened in 1914. Both breweries were nationalized by the post-war Polish People's Republic. In 1992, the company was privatized and became a joint stock company. In 2001, the brewing operations were moved to the second site and the first site became a corporate headquarters. In 2014, the company renamed itself to Perła - Browary Lubelskie S.A (Perla - Lublin Breweries). Perła currently owns two breweries, one in Lublin and one in Zwierzyniec. It is available in UK, US, Germany and Australia and is the largest independent brewery in Poland.Perla (Pils 5% ABV) was awarded a Bronze Medal at the International Beer Challenge BC 2010 awards in the UK.

Lublin County (Polish: Powiat Lubelski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Lublin Voivodeship, eastern Poland. It was established on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat is the city of Lublin, although the city is not part of the county (it constitutes a separate city county). The only towns in Lublin County are Bełżyce, which lies 23 km (14 mi) west of Lublin, and Bychawa, 26 km (16 mi) south of Lublin. The county covers an area of 1,679.42 square kilometres (648.4 sq mi). As of 2019, its total population is 154,760, out of which the population of Bełżyce is 6,504, that of Bychawa is 4,893, and the rural population is 143,363.

The "Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre" Centre (Polish: Ośrodek "Brama Grodzka — Teatr NN") is a cultural institution based in Lublin. It is housed in the Grodzka Gate also known as the Jewish Gate that historically used to be a passage from the Christian to the Jewish part of the city. In its activities the Center focuses on issues of cultural heritage. The Polish-Jewish past of Lublin is the corner stone of the art and educational programmes carried out by the "Gate".

Lublin is the ninth-largest city in Poland and the second-largest city of historical Lesser Poland. It is the capital and the centre of Lublin Voivodeship with a population of 336,339 (December 2021). Lublin is the largest Polish city east of the Vistula River and is about 170 km (106 mi) to the southeast of Warsaw by road. One of the events that greatly contributed to the city's development was the Polish-Lithuanian Union of Krewo in 1385. Lublin thrived as a centre of trade and commerce due to its strategic location on the route between Vilnius and Kraków; the inhabitants had the privilege of free trade in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The Lublin Parliament session of 1569 led to the creation of a real union between the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, thus creating the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Lublin witnessed the early stages of Reformation in the 16th century. A Calvinist congregation was founded and groups of radical Arians appeared in the city, making it an important global centre of Arianism.Until the partitions at the end of the 18th century, Lublin was a royal city of the Crown Kingdom of Poland. Its delegates and nobles had the right to participate in the royal election. In 1578, Lublin was chosen as the seat of the Crown Tribunal, the highest appeal court in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, and for centuries, the city has been flourishing as a centre of culture and higher learning. In 2011, the analytical Financial Times Group found Lublin to be one of the best cities for business in Poland. The Foreign Direct Investment ranking placed Lublin second among larger Polish cities in the cost-effectiveness category. Lublin is noted for its green spaces and a high standard of living; the city has been selected as the 2023 European Youth Capital. Its historical Old Town is one of Poland's national monuments (Pomnik historii) tracked by the National Heritage Board of Poland.

Sonderaktion Lublin was a repressive operation targeting the intelligentsia of Lublin, conducted by German occupiers in November 1939. The operation began with mass arrests, affecting several hundred members of Lublin's social and intellectual elite. The Germans detained, among others, two bishops and members of the Archdiocese of Lublin's curia, all faculty members of the Catholic University of Lublin present in the city, as well as numerous teachers, lawyers, and officials. Most prisoners were eventually released, but approximately 70 Poles were executed, and several dozen others were deported to concentration camps. The term Sonderaktion Lublin was coined by Polish historians to describe these events.

St. Joseph's Church is a 17th-century Roman Catholic church in Lublin. The building's construction was founded by Katarzyna from Kretków Sanguszkowa. Her portrait is displayed inside the church. The church was built between 1635 and 1644. The building has the Lublin Renaissance architectural style. The building's façade has two figures, St. Teresa of Ávila's and St. John of the Cross. The church has a nave with a chancel. The church, together with the abbey, was raised by the Carmelites.

Church of St. Josaphat in Lublin was built by Greek merchants in 1786 upon the consent of king Stanisław August Poniatowski. In the second half of the 19th century the temple which was originally dependent on the patriarch of Constantinople was taken over by the Russian Orthodox Church and in 1922 it became the property of the Roman Catholic Church. At present it is Saint Josaphat's church which until recently was also used by Greek Catholics.

The Lublin Castle (Polish: Zamek Lubelski) is a medieval castle in Lublin, Poland, adjacent to the Old Town district and close to the city center. It is one of the oldest preserved royal residencies in Poland, initially established by High Duke Casimir II the Just. Its contemporary Gothic Revival appearance is largely due to a reconstruction undertaken in the 19th century.

The National Museum in Lublin (Polish: Muzeum Narodowe w Lublinie) is one of the oldest and largest museums in Eastern Poland, located in Lublin. It was created in 1914, and received its own building in 1923.
