Otter Lake (Waterford Township, Michigan)

Sylvan Lake is an all-sports, 458-acre (185 ha) Oakland County, Michigan lake along the main branch of the Clinton River. To the north is 74-acre Otter Lake, which joins the 458-acre (185 ha) Sylvan Lake, for a total of 532 acres (215 ha) of lake, making it the seventh largest lake in Oakland County. The lake lies in the city of Sylvan Lake, Michigan, in Keego Harbor, Michigan and in Waterford Township, Michigan and is west of Pontiac, Michigan. It is located north of Orchard Lake Road, south of Voorhies Road, east of Cass Lake Road and west of Telegraph Road. Sylvan Lake connects to 12-acre (4.9 ha) Crystal Lake downstream and to 1,280-acre (520 ha) Cass Lake upstream, although there is a dam between the two lakes at Cass Lake Road.

Keego Harbor is a city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A northern suburb of Detroit, Keego Harbor is located roughly 27 miles (43.5 km) from downtown Detroit, and about 3 miles (4.8 km) southwest of Pontiac. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 2,970. With a land area of 0.50 square miles (1.29 km2), Keego Harbor is the third-smallest city by land area in the state of Michigan, after Petersburg and Clarkston.

Waterford Durant High School is an alternative high school in Waterford, Michigan. It is operated by the Waterford School District and is one of three high school within the district.The school was opened in 2009 Under the title “Waterford Alternative High School” and in 2012 was renamed and relocated to “Waterford Durant High School” and moved from a no longer standing building behind Waterford Kettering to WSD Administration/Crary Middle School (Closed 2017) Building located at 501 North Cass Lake Road. For the 2019-2020 School year enrollment at waterford peaked at 280 9th-12th graders. Durant is open & accepting to students from across Oakland County.

Sylvan Lake is a city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A northern suburb of Detroit, Sylvan Lake is located roughly 26 miles (41.8 km) from downtown Detroit, and borders Pontiac to the east. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 1,720. With a land area of 0.51 square miles (1.32 km2), Sylvan Lake is the fourth-smallest city by land area in the state after Clarkston, Petersburg, and neighboring Keego Harbor.

Summit Place Mall, originally Pontiac Mall, was a shopping mall in Waterford Township, Michigan, United States. Opened in 1962 as the first enclosed mall in Michigan, it was built on a 74-acre (30 ha) site. After expansions in 1987 and 1993, it comprised more than 1,400,000 square feet (130,000 m2) of retail space. At its peak, it had approximately 200 inline tenants and six anchor stores: Hudson's (later Marshall Field's, then Macy's), Sears, J. C. Penney, Montgomery Ward, Service Merchandise, and Kohl's. Following the opening of Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in nearby Auburn Hills, Michigan in 1998, Summit Place Mall lost many of its tenants to this newer mall, also losing Service Merchandise and Montgomery Ward to their respective bankruptcies in 1999 and 2000. In the 2000s, Summit Place became a dead mall as the majority of its stores closed. Kohl's closed in March 2009 and the mall concourses were closed off in September 2009. J.C. Penney and Macy's remained until early 2010, and Sears until 2014.

Geneva Lake is a lake located in Waterford Township, Michigan. It lies west of Highland Rd. (M-59) and north of Elizabeth Lake Rd. The 19-acre (7.7 ha), 35-foot (11 m) deep lake connects with Fiddle Lake to the north and Otter Lake to the south. Geneva Lake was previously named Carp Lake as late as 1908.

Dodge No. 4 State Park is a public recreation area covering 139 acres (56 ha) on the north shore of Cass Lake in Oakland County, northern Metro Detroit, Michigan. The state park occupies a mile of shoreline on the 1,280-acre (520 ha) lake.

Cass Lake is on the main branch of the Clinton River. Upstream from Cass Lake is 243-acre (98 ha) Loon Lake. Cass Lake also connects with 363-acre (147 ha) Elizabeth Lake & the small Dow Lake, in Dow Ridge. Downstream from Cass Lake is the 532-acre (215 ha) Sylvan Lake.Cass Lake is the largest and deepest lake in Oakland County, and is in the northern Metro Detroit region of southeastern Michigan.

Mott High School or Waterford Mott High School is a public high school in the Waterford School District located in Waterford, Michigan. The official name of the high school is Charles S. Mott High School, named for the automotive industry pioneer.

The Clinton Valley Center (CVC), originally called the Eastern Michigan Asylum for the Insane, was a psychiatric hospital located at 140 Elizabeth Lake Road in Pontiac, Michigan. The facility was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1974 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981, with a decrease in its boundaries in 1986. The facility was closed in 1997 and demolished in 2000.

Elizabeth Lake is a freshwater lake located in Waterford Township, Michigan, along the Clinton River. It connects upstream to 90-acre Crescent Lake and downstream to 1,280-acre Cass Lake. The lake is located south of Elizabeth Lake Road, north of Cass-Elizabeth Road, east of Cooley Lake Road, and west of Cass Lake Roads. The sand-bottom lake is 363 acres, making it the thirteenth largest lake in Oakland County, Michigan. At its deepest point, the lake is 72 feet deep.

The Elmer R. Webster School is a former school building located at 640 West Huron Street in Pontiac, Michigan. The school building is being redeveloped into the Webster Community Center. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.
