Duke Street, St James's is a street in the St James's area of the City of Westminster, London. It runs from Piccadilly in the north to King Street in the south, and is crossed by Jermyn Street. Ryder Street joins it on the western side. On the eastern side it provides access to Masons Yard. The upmarket department store Fortnum & Mason occupies the north-west corner.

The Cavendish Hotel is a modern 4-star, 230-bedroom, luxury hotel in St James's, London, United Kingdom, facing the restaurant front of Fortnum and Mason on Piccadilly. Across Piccadilly is Mayfair. It is currently known as "The Cavendish London" and it is owned by CapitaLand. Its main entrance is on Jermyn Street, and a side entrance is on Duke Street, St James's. Jermyn Street is an established retail and urban leisure street which has bespoke gentlemen's clothing stores, shoe/bootmakers and barber shops. The hotel gained notoriety during the 1902–1952 management of the self-made hotelier and socialite Rosa Lewis, who was also known as the "Queen of Cooks" and "The Duchess of Jermyn Street"; damaged in the London Blitz, it was torn down in 1962. The present edition of the hotel was built on the site in 1966.

Tramp is a private, members-only nightclub located on Jermyn Street in central London, England. It was founded in 1969 by Johnny Gold, Bill Ofner and Oscar Lerman. The club built a reputation for discretion, banning photography and gossip writers from inside, and is popular with celebrities.

Indica Gallery was a counterculture art gallery in Mason's Yard (off Duke Street), St James's, London from 1965 to 1967, in the basement of the Indica Bookshop. John Dunbar, Peter Asher, and Barry Miles owned it, and Paul McCartney supported it and hosted a show of Yoko Ono's work in November 1966, at which Ono met John Lennon.

Hatchards claims to be the oldest bookshop in the United Kingdom, founded on Piccadilly in 1797 by John Hatchard. After one move, it has been at the same location on Piccadilly next to Fortnum & Mason since 1801, and the two stores are also neighbours in St. Pancras railway station as of 2014. Fortnum & Mason (colloquially often shortened to just Fortnum's) is an upmarket department store in Piccadilly, London, with additional stores at The Royal Exchange, St Pancras railway station, Heathrow Airport in London and K11 Musea In Hong Kong, as well as various stockists worldwide. Its headquarters are located at 181 Piccadilly, where it was established in 1707 by William Fortnum and Hugh Mason. Today, it is privately owned by Wittington Investments Limited.Founded as a grocery store, Fortnum's reputation was built on supplying quality food, and saw rapid growth throughout the Victorian era. Though Fortnum's developed into a department store, it continues to focus on stocking a variety of exotic, speciality and also 'basic' provisions.The store has since opened several other departments, such as the Gentlemen's department on the first floor. It is also the location of a tea shop and several restaurants.

Princes Arcade is an arcade of shops running between Piccadilly and Jermyn Street in central London. It is home to a number of small menswear shops and boutiques.The arcade is located on the site of the former Princes Hotel, designed by Edward Robert Robson for the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours and opened in April 1883. A westward extension of the hotel was built between 1911 and 1913, which is now Nos. 39-40 Jermyn Street. The arcade was constructed between 1929 and 1933, linking the two streets. The hotel was subsequently converted into offices.The arcade was refurbished by the Crown Estate in 2018 as "a space for innovative retail brands".

The Matthiesen Gallery is an art gallery in St James's, London, England, founded in 1978 by Patrick Matthiesen, son of Francis Matthiesen, an art dealer of Berlin and London. It operates as both a commercial gallery and an art museum. The gallery is located at 7-8 Mason Yard, Duke Street St James's. An earlier Matthiesen Gallery was operated by Francis, first in Berlin, then in London, after he fled Nazi Germany.

Floris (also J. Floris Ltd or Floris of London Holdings Ltd) is the oldest English retailer of fragrance and toiletries and is still family owned and run today by the 8th and 9th generations of the family.

Prince's Hall was a concert venue in Piccadilly, London. It was part of the premises of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, at 190–195 Piccadilly, situated behind the galleries where annual exhibitions of the Institute took place. The building was opened by the Prince and Princess of Wales in 1883.In 1900 the Prince's Hall was joined with the Prince's Hotel to the rear, and became a restaurant. Prince's Hotel, built about 1898, was at 36–38 Jermyn Street, which runs parallel to Piccadilly to the south. From 1929 to 1933 there was extensive alteration: the hotel was converted into offices and business premises, and Princes Arcade was constructed between Piccadilly and Jermyn Street.
