Sultan Street railway station was a railway station located at the intersection of Jalan Sultan, Jalan Pudu and Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.The station was opened in 1892 and was initially a through station on the line from (the later location of) Kuala Lumpur railway station to Ampang. The track from Kuala Lumpur ran through the middle of Foch Avenue (currently Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock), but this section was closed after some time. Now a terminus, Sultan Street station remained accessible from the main line via a junction at what is now Salak Selatan Komuter station. A new station building was constructed for the terminus station. The station's closure date is unknown, but it is still shown on the 1962 official Malayan topographical survey map. Moreover, the station was noted as having a diesel railcar service to Seremban railway station, which was affected by a railway strike in December 1962. Multiple services per day to Ampang were still running in 1965, when another strike disrupted them. On 6 June 1967, the station was the scene of protests which were dispersed by police. In 1969, the station was still open, as it was reported train tickets could be bought here for KTM services.The railway alignments to Salak Selatan and Ampang have been re-used in the late 1990s for the Ampang and Sri Petaling lines. The current nearest station to Sultan Street station's location is Plaza Rakyat LRT station. The station was located next to the still standing Wesley Methodist Church.

Petaling Street (Malay: Jalan Petaling, Simplified Chinese: 茨厂街, Traditional Chinese: 茨廠街, pinyin: Cíchǎng Jiē, Cantonese jyutping: ci4 cong2 gaai1) is a Chinatown located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The whole vicinity is also known as Chinatown KL. Haggling is a common sight here and the place is usually crowded with locals as well as tourists. The area has dozens of restaurants and food stalls, serving local favourites such as Hokkien mee, Ikan Bakar (barbecued fish), asam laksa and curry noodles. Reggae Bar Chinatown is located here. Traders here are mainly Chinese but there are also Indian, Malay, and Bangladeshi traders. It is also known for street prostitution.

The Pudu Sentral (formerly Puduraya Terminal (Malay: Hentian Puduraya)) is the main local service bus terminus in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was opened in 1976 by the late former Prime Minister Tun Hussein Onn. Long-distance buses no longer arrive and leave from Pudu Sentral with these instead moved to Bandar Tasik Selatan Integrated Transport Terminal. Pudu Sentral thus lost half of the bus volume to the Bandar Tasik Selatan Integrated Transport Terminal.

The Sri Mahamariamman Temple (Tamil: ஸ்ரீ மகாமாரியம்மன் திருக்கோவில்,கோலாலம்பூர்) is the oldest Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Founded in 1873, it is situated at the edge of Chinatown in Jalan Bandar (formerly High Street). In 1968, a new structure was built, featuring the ornate 'Raja Gopuram' tower in the style of South Indian temples. From its inception, the temple provided an important place of worship for early Indian immigrants and is now an important cultural and national heritage.

Merdeka 118, also known as Merdeka PNB 118, Warisan Merdeka Tower and KL 118 is a 118-story, 678.9-metre-tall megatall skyscraper in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is the world's second-tallest building behind the Burj Khalifa. The building's name, Merdeka (which means 'independence'), is inspired by its proximity to two stadiums: Stadium Merdeka and Stadium Negara. The spire of the building was completed in November 2021.The building is expected to be finished by the end of 2022, and will become the tallest in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. It will surpass the 632 m (2,073 ft) Shanghai Tower as the world's second-tallest building and structure, surpassing the 451.9 m (1,483 ft) Petronas Twin Towers as the tallest building in Malaysia, and surpassing the 461 m (1,512 ft) Landmark 81 as the tallest building in ASEAN, also 47 m (154 ft) taller than the Shanghai Tower, 227 m (745 ft) taller than Petronas Twin Towers and 218 m (715 ft) taller than Landmark 81. Taking the title by virtue of its 168.5-metre-tall (553 ft) spire. The building will also be the first in Malaysia to receive a triple platinum rating from worldwide sustainability certifications, including the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).

The Maybank Numismatic Museum is a museum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that is run and owned by the Maybank. It holds one of the largest coin and money collections in Malaysia. The museum is housed in Maybank Tower at Jalan Tun Perak. In September 2012, the museum was closed to the public for renovations, and has subsequently been reopened.

The People's Plaza (Malay: Plaza Rakyat) is an under construction mixed-use skyscraper complex in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia initiated during the 1990s. However the project, which had already commenced construction, stalled due to the 1997 Asian financial crisis until 2020 and is currently revived by DBKL. The project, originally designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, was to comprise a 79-storey office tower, a 46-storey condominium, a 24-storey hotel and a 7-storey shopping centre. The original Puduraya bus depot was also intended to be replaced. Minor demolition works on the abandoned site started back in 2020 to make way for Tower 2 which will consist a total of 70 floors, while Tower 3 will consist of 46 floors. A sales gallery for the new development has also been constructed along Jalan Pudu.

The Lee Yan Lian building is a high-rise building in the Kawasan Perancangan Pusat borough of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The building has 18 stories and is 73.04 m (240 ft) tall. Until the construction of the Malaysian Houses of Parliament in 1959, it was the tallest building in Malaysia. It was completed in 1945

The Merdeka MRT station is a mass rapid transit (MRT) underground station in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is one of the stations of the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line and serves as an interchange station with Plaza Rakyat LRT station for LRT Ampang and Sri Petaling lines. The station was opened on 17 July 2017 under Phase Two operations of the MRT line.The station's name translates to "independence" in English and is taken from its location near the historic Stadium Merdeka (English: Independence Stadium), where the independence of the Federation of Malaya was declared on 31 August 1957, and the covered Stadium Negara (English: National Stadium). The station is located beneath Jalan Hang Jebat, adjacent to historical landmarks such as Stadium Negara, Stadium Merdeka, Merdeka 118 and the future 118 Mall.
