Belle Vue Harel

The Anjalay Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Belle Vue Harel, Pamplemousses District, Mauritius. At present, it is used mostly for football matches. The parking area of the stadium is used for car racing and motorcycle racing. The stadium holds 16,000 and was renovated in 2003 for a cost of $15 million.

Rivière du Rempart (Mauritian Creole pronunciation: [ʁivjɛː dʒi ʁɑ̃pɑː]) is a district of Mauritius, located in the North-East of the island, having an area of 147.6 km². The population estimate was at 108,005 as at 31 December 2015.

The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanic Garden (sometimes shortened to the SSR Botanic Garden), commonly known as the Pamplemousses Botanic Garden, is a popular tourist attraction in Pamplemousses, near Port Louis, Mauritius, and the oldest botanical garden in the Southern Hemisphere. Famous for its long pond of giant water lilies (Victoria amazonica), the garden was first constructed by Pierre Poivre (1719 – 1786) in 1770, and it covers an area of around 37 hectares (91 acres).The garden, for a long time was ranked third among all the gardens that could be admired over the surface of the globe', have been known successively as 'Jardin de Mon Plaisir', 'Jardin des Plantes', 'Le Jardin National de l’Ile de France', 'Jardin Royal', 'Jardin Botanique des Pamplemousses', and during the British colonisation, 'The Royal Botanical Gardens of Pamplemousses' and 'The Royal Botanic Gardens, Pamplemousses'. On 17 September 1988 the garden was formally named "Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanic Garden", named after the first prime minister of Mauritius, as was the smaller SSR Botanical Garden of Curepipe. In addition to its giant waterlilies, the garden also features spices, ebonies, sugar canes, and 85 varieties of palms from Central America, Asia, Africa and the islands around the Indian Ocean. Many trees have been planted by world leaders and royalty, including Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, Indira Gandhi, François Mitterrand and Robert Mugabe.These gardens are situated in the village of Pamplemousses which lies about seven miles northeast of the capital, Port Louis. Pamplemousse or pamplemoucier is the grapefruit tree (Citrus x paradisi), which grows in the region, possibly introduced by the Dutch from Java.

Trou-aux-Biches is a small town with a public beach on the northern coast of the island Mauritius in the district of Pamplemousses. According to the World Travel group, the beach is one of the most beautiful on the island. They awarded it the World's Leading Beach Destination at the World Travel Award for 2011. Many tourist resorts and boutique hotels are situated near the beach, such as the Trou aux Biches Resort & Spa. From Port Louis, the M2 highway heads towards it, with Trou-aux-Biches about a mile west from the end of M2. The airport and the town are connected by a public bus. Trou-aux-Biches started off as a fishing village in the 19th century, and its name appears on the Lislet-Geoffroy map drawn in 1807 during the French colonial rule of the island. In recent time, it has evolved into a small town with a two kilometer long white sand beach shaded by casuarina trees, snorkeling reefs, boutique shops, a supermarket and other facilities along the B38 road catering to family tourism.While tourism began in Mauritius in 1952 with the construction of a small hotel in Curepipe for air crews arriving in colonial Mauritius, the first major hotel was built in Trou-aux-Biches in 1971 after Mauritius gained independence in 1968. The town retains its village style and is less commercialized than nearby Grand Baie. Inland from the town is Maheswarnath Mandir, the island's largest Hindu temple, founded in 1888.The beach at Trou-aux-Biches is popular for sunset watching.

Triolet is a medium-sized town in the north of Mauritius, found in the district of Pamplemousses. It lies exactly 11 kilometres from Port Louis, the capital of the island. The town is nestled amidst green sugarcane fields, near the north-western coast of the island. As per the 2016 population census, Triolet had 24 073 inhabitants and a population density of 2764 inhabitants per km2, over an area of 8.71 m2. The population density is higher than that of the township of Vacoas-Phoenix which is at 1948 inhabitants per km2. To the north of Triolet lie Trou-aux-Biches, Mont Choisy and Grand Baie which are coastal villages, while to its west are Pointe-aux-Piments and Balaclava. On the south lies Arsenal and to the east are Morcellement St André and Plaine des Papayes.

Adolphe de Plevitz State Secondary School is a boys' state secondary school based in Grand-Baie, Mauritius. Students are prepared for the School Certificate and the Higher School Certificate.

Maheswarnath Mandir (locally known as "Grand Shivala Triolet") is a Hindu temple located in the town of Triolet, Mauritius. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva (one of his epithets is Maheshwarnath, meaning the great Lord). The temple was founded in 1888 by Pandit Shri Sajeebunlall Ramsoondur, who came from Calcutta. The temple is famous for its association with the first pilgrimage to Ganga Talao, the sacred lake found in the center of Mauritius. The temple is the biggest and one of the oldest Hindu temples on the island along with the Kovil at Bon Espoir Piton (1830), Sinatambou Kovil at Terre Rouge (1850), Murugan Kovil at Clemencia (1856), the Shivala at Gokoolah (1867), Rameshwarnath Shivala at Terre Rouge (1867) and Jharnath Shivala at l'Aventure (1881). There also old Mandaps and Kalimayes dedicated to Durga and Kali, like the one at Antoinette Phooliyar (around 1840s) and a Durga Mandap at Cinema Casse in Triolet itself (1882).

Lallmatie is a village in Mauritius—located on the west side of Flacq District—it occupied a latitude around -20.1897222 and a longitude around 57.6611111. It has a density of 793.5/km2 (2,055/sq mi) and a total population of around 11,910 inhabitants. Lallmatie is one of the most developed villages in Mauritius and has a wide natural resources which include vast sugarcane fields, dense forests and rivers. The village is sub divided into three plots—which include the Metropolitan area known as Royal Road Lallmatie—the residential area and—the flora and fauna area known as Giroday Road Lallmatie which consists of forest, sugar cane field and waterfall. Christianity, Catholic, Islam are practiced by Lallmatian but the most dominating religion is Hinduism, around 83% of Lallmatian are Hindu Mauritian. The official language are English and French which is used for administration while Mauritian Creole is highly used for communication, but some inhabitants also speak their vernacular languages which include French, Mauritian Creole, English and Bhojpuri. Lallmatie has one secondary institution named Manilal Doctor State Secondary School which is a girl state college and two primary institutions called Jawaharlall Nehru Government School and Sookdeo Bissoondoyal Government School. The primary source of transportation of the village are bus and taxi.

Grand Baie (or sometimes Grand Bay) is a coastal village in Mauritius located in the Rivière du Rempart District, but the western part also lies inside the Pamplemousses District. The village is administered by the Grand Baie Village Council under the aegis of the Rivière du Rempart District Council. According to the census performed by Statistics Mauritius in 2011, the population was at 11,910.

Piton State College (PSC) is a state secondary school based in Piton, Mauritius. Students are prepared for the School Certificate and the Higher School Certificate that are carried out through the Cambridge International Examinations(CIE). Piton State College is owned and controlled by the Government of Mauritius through the Ministry of Education of Mauritius.
