Ravenna Park and Cowen Park comprise a single contiguous recreation and green space in the Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle, Washington in the United States. These public parks encompass the ravine with a maximum depth of 115 feet (35 m) through which Ravenna Creek flows.

Ravenna is a neighborhood in northeastern Seattle, Washington named after Ravenna, Italy. Though Ravenna is considered a residential neighborhood, it also is home to several businesses, many of which are located in the University Village, a shopping mall. Ravenna Park, located near University Village and the walking or biking route connecting Green Lake to Burke–Gilman Trail, is located within the neighborhood.

Denny Field is located on the campus of the University of Washington in Seattle. It was the home grounds for the university's football team for a quarter century, from 1895 until 1920. Washington compiled an overall home record of 87 wins, 15 losses, and 13 ties (.813) on the field including an NCAA record 59–0–4 winning streak from 1907 to 1917.On Saturday, November 6, 1920, the final game at Denny Field was played, a 3–0 loss to Stanford; the only scoring was a drop-kicked field goal in the second quarter. Three weeks later, the UW Sun Dodgers hosted Dartmouth of New Hampshire in the inaugural game of the venue later known as Husky Stadium; the visitors won 28–7 on November 27.Denny Field is near the northern edge of campus at an approximate elevation of 190 feet (58 m) above sea level. It is located south of the intersection of NE 45th Street and 20th Avenue NE, by Hutchinson Hall and Hansee Hall.

Calvary Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery in Seattle, Washington, United States, located in the Ravenna/Bryant neighborhood. Dedicated on December 1, 1889, it is situated on the southwest slope of a hill overlooking University Village, about a mile (1.6 km) northeast of the University of Washington. It is owned and operated by the Archdiocese of Seattle. Covering an area of 40 acres (16 ha), the square-shaped cemetery is bounded on the north by N.E. 55th Street, on the east by 35th Avenue N.E., on the south by N.E. 50th Street, and on the west by 30th Avenue N.E. Around 40,000 people are buried in its grounds, including: Vivian E. Albertson, Bellevue School District director from 1982 to 1990 Dave Beck, former president of the Teamsters "Tioga George" Burns, baseball player, the American League's most valuable player in 1926. John Cherberg, lieutenant governor for 32 years, UW football player and head coach Raymond E. Davis, Medal of Honor recipient in 1905 Hec Edmundson, basketball and track coach at the University of Washington Walter Galbraith, former president of Galbraith and Co. and director of Washington Mutual Tubby Graves, baseball head coach at UW Michael J. "Moose" Heney, Alaskan railroad builder Al Hostak, middleweight boxer Jacob Nist, founder of Queen City Manufacturing Company, now the Seattle-Tacoma Box Company Edward Nordhoff, founder of The Bon Marché department store chain William Piggott, founder of Paccar Albert Rosellini, former governorAdditionally, priests of the Archdiocese of Seattle and clergy from a number of religious orders are buried at the cemetery. There is one British Commonwealth war grave, of a Canadian Army soldier of World War I.

The School of Drama is an undergraduate and graduate theatre school in the Arts Division of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 1940, the School of Drama offers a Bachelor's degree and MFA degrees in directing, design, and acting. A Ph.D. in history theory and criticism is also offered. The MFA programs have outstanding reputations as top programs in the country. Each year, the MFA programs admit up to six actors, up to six design students, (two each for costume, scenic design, and lighting), up to three for the Ph.D. program and, every other year, two students are chosen in directing. The School of Drama presents a full subscription season of six productions every academic year, which feature MFA students and undergraduates. The Undergraduate Theater Society (UTS) founded by undergraduate James Newman in 1992, self-produces a season of its own.

The Park Vista is a historic building in Seattle, Washington. It is situated on a triangular parcel whose full address is 5810 Cowen Pl. N.E., Seattle, WA 98105. To the northwest is Cowen Park and beyond that the Roosevelt neighborhood; to the south is the northern extreme of the University District; and to the east is the Ravenna neighborhood. The building's entrance and garden lie along the hypotenuse of the right-triangle and overlook Cowen Park.

Jet City Improv is a Short Form Improvisation troupe that performs in the Seattle, Washington area. The troupe was founded in 1992 and is operated by Wing-It Productions.

Bobo (1951–1968) was a western lowland gorilla (Gorilla gorilla gorilla) who was a prominent feature of Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, Washington, USA, from 1953 until his early death at 17 (less than half his normal lifespan). As a publicly accessible gorilla in the wake of King Kong, Bobo was one of Seattle's most prominent attractions before the construction of the Space Needle and the introduction of professional sports to the city. After his death, Bobo's skin was stuffed and placed on display at Seattle's Museum of History and Industry. The remainder of his body was turned over to the University of Washington's Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture for research purposes; however, the skull went missing shortly after his autopsy and wasn't reunited with the rest of the skeleton until 2007.
