Buttes Chaumont (Paris Métro)

The Parc des Buttes Chaumont (pronounced [paʁk de byt ʃomɔ̃]) is a public park situated in northeastern Paris, France, in the 19th arrondissement. Occupying 24.7 hectares (61 acres), it is the fifth-largest park in Paris, after the Bois de Vincennes, Bois de Boulogne, Parc de la Villette and Tuileries Garden. Opened in 1867, late in the regime of Napoleon III, it was built according to plans by Jean-Charles Adolphe Alphand, who created all the major parks demanded by the Emperor. The park has 5.5 kilometres (3.4 miles) of roads and 2.2 kilometres (1.4 miles) of paths. The most famous feature of the park is the Temple de la Sibylle, inspired by the Temple of Vesta in Tivoli, Italy, and perched at the top of a cliff fifty metres above the waters of the artificial lake.

Île du Belvédère is an island located on the lake of Parc des Buttes Chaumont, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Covering an area of around 6,700 m2 (72,000 sq ft), it is connected to the bank by two bridges: to the west by Pont des Suicidés, made of stone, and to the south by a hanging walkway, made of wood.

The 19th arrondissement of Paris (XIXe arrondissement) is one of the 20 arrondissements of the capital city of France. In spoken French, this arrondissement is referred to as dix-neuvième. The arrondissement, known as Butte-Chaumont, is situated on the right bank of the River Seine. The École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville is a French grande école and school of architecture. It is currently ranked as the best architecture school in France. The school is recognized for its focus on sustainability, and its students have received awards for adaptable designs encouraging new attitudes towards waste. The school has partnerships with 66 international universities, including La Sapienza in Rome and the University of Hong Kong.

The École des ingénieurs de la ville de Paris (Engineering School of the City of Paris) is the only French grande école with an emphasis on urban engineering.The top-level graduate school, which is already actively involved in networks bringing together distinguished schools of higher education, has taken another step by partnering with École des Ponts ParisTech.Established in 1959 to educate the junior civil servants for the City of Paris, EIVP nowadays also educates young professionals for the private sector. They have to deal with the educational disciplines linked to cities: building, urbanism, transportation and environment. Foreign students are welcomed to train for a one or two year curriculum (via ERASMUS or n+i), or for internships.The students are recruited through a competitive exam after 2 to 3 years of higher education (equivalent of college), usually in preparatory classes to enter elite schools ("classes préparatoires"). Stade Bergeyre is a former sports stadium in northeast of Paris, France, located in 19th district of the French capital. Built in August 1918, with financial support of Jacques Sigrand. Its capacity was approximately 15,000, and the name comes from the name of a French rugby player, who died in First World War. Bergeyre stadium was mainly used for football games, and was home of the Olympique Paris team. Also, rugby, track and field and various other activities (e.g. circus) took place there. In 1924, several football and rugby games of the Olympic Games took place here. However, just two years later, it was demolished because the city of Paris, which was quickly growing, needed space for housing.

The Église Saint-Serge is a parish Russian Orthodox Church located at 93 rue de Crimée in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. It was originally a Protestant church for the German community, but was requisitioned by the French government at the beginning of the First World War. After the war, in 1924, it was sold by the French government to the Russian Orthodox church, and consecrated in 1925.The church was under the jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Orthodox of Churches of Western Tradition in Europe, headed by the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople. In 2019 it was transferred to the authority of the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow. The site also is home to the Institute of Orthodox Theology, of Saint Serge.

Pyrénées (French pronunciation: [piʁene] (listen)) is a station on line 11 of the Paris Métro in the 19th and 20th arrondissements. It is named after the nearby rue des Pyrénées, which is named after the Pyrénées mountains.

Belleville (French: [bɛlvil]) is a neighbourhood of Paris, France, parts of which lie in four different arrondissements. The major portion of Belleville straddles the borderline between the 20th arrondissement and the 19th along its main street, the Rue de Belleville. The remainder lies in the 10th and 11th arrondissements. It was once the independent commune (municipality) of Belleville which was annexed by the City of Paris in 1860 and divided between two arrondissements. Geographically, the neighborhood is situated on and around a hill which vies with Montmartre as the highest in Paris. The name Belleville literally means "beautiful town".

The St. Sergius Orthodox Theological Institute (French: Institut de théologie orthodoxe Saint-Serge) in Paris, France, is a private university of higher education in Orthodox theology. Founded in 1925 by a group led by Metropolitan Eulogius Georgiyevsky, historian, theologian, and last Minister of Religious Affairs of the Russian Provisional Government, Anton Kartashev, Lev Liperovsky and Mikhail Ossorguine, with the active support of Nobel Peace Prize recipient John Mott. It is under the canonical jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Russian Orthodox churches in Western Europe under the omophorion of the Russian Orthodox Church. The institute has been in conformity with French legislation and the norms of European university education since its earliest years and is accredited by the Académie de Paris to deliver bachelor, masters and doctoral degrees. The mission of the institute is to form educated priests and laypeople, intending them to serve actively the Orthodox Church and representing it in ecumenical dialogue as well as in the religious and cultural life of their own country.

Botzaris (French pronunciation: [bɔtsaʁis]) is a station on Line 7bis of the Paris Métro. Located in the 19th arrondissement, it was named after Markos Botsaris, an [Greece] Greek hero of the Greek War of Independence. East of this station, line 7bis becomes a unidirectional loop.

The Yeshiva of the Students of Paris (or the Hebrew Center for Study and Meditation) is a seminary of rabbinical studies (a yeshiva) that was founded in 1987 by the Rabbi Gerard Zyzek. His objective was the learning of the Jewish traditions and the Babylonian Talmud.
