The Place Pinel (English: Pinel Square) is a square and street in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital (French: Hôpital universitaire la Pitié-Salpêtrière, [opital ynivɛʁsitɛʁ pitje salpɛtʁijɛʁ]) is a teaching hospital in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. Part of the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris and a teaching hospital of Sorbonne University, it is one of Europe's largest hospitals. It is also France's largest hospital.

Campo Formio (French pronunciation: ​[kɑ̃po fɔʁmjo]) is a station of the Paris Métro, serving line 5 located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

The Laboratory of biomechanics (in French : Laboratoire de biomécanique), also known as the LBM, is a French laboratory of research located in Paris. It is under the authority of Arts et Métiers ParisTech. It is part of the Carnot Institute ARTS and currently employs more than 50 persons. It is officially recognized by the CNRS as a host research team (équipe d'acceuil n°4494).

The boulevard de l'Hôpital is a tree-lined boulevard of the 13th arrondissement of Paris, which also briefly borders on the 5th arrondissement. It runs a distance of 1,395 meters, from the Place Valhubert at the pont d'Austerlitz, by the gare d'Austerlitz, rising in a gentle slope towards its end at the place d'Italie - the town hall of the arrondissement being located at their intersection. Along the way, it serves the Jardin des Plantes and the Hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière from which it derives its name. In front of the hospital stands a statue of doctor Philippe Pinel. The boulevard is an important traffic axis. Bordered by public and teaching establishments such as the general police station of the arrondissement, it has relatively little commercial and leisure activity excepting the shops and restaurants close to the gare d'Austerlitz. The boulevard is also home to the Arts et Métiers ParisTech main campus. This engineering graduate school built its facilities in 1910, at this time it was called ENSAM. Nowadays, more than 950 graduate students are attending courses in fields such as industrial or mechanical engineering. The métro Line 5 runs through the Austerlitz viaduct, along the boulevard which has four stations: Gare d'Austerlitz (at its northmost end) Saint-Marcel (opposite Hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière) Campo Formio Place d'Italie (at its southmost end)

Saint-Marcel (French pronunciation: ​[sɛ̃ maʁsɛl]) is a station of the Paris Métro, serving line 5 located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.

The Ligue nationale de basket (LNB; English: National Basketball League) is the governing body of men's professional club basketball in France. The LNB organises the first-tier Pro A and the second-tier Pro B. Additionally, the federation annually organises the Leaders Cup, Match des Champions and LNB All-Star Game. The LNB was established in 1987 by a committee consisting of high level professional clubs from France. In 1990, the LNB overtook the CCHN as the organizer of the top tier competition in France.

Chevaleret (French pronunciation: ​[ʃəvalʁɛ]) is an elevated station of the Paris Métro serving line 6 at the intersection of the Rue du Chevaleret and the Boulevard Vincent Auriol in the 13th arrondissement. The station opened on 1 March 1909 with the opening of the original section of line 6 from Place d'Italie to Nation (although part of line 5—some dating back to 2 October 1900—was incorporated into line 6 on 12 October 1942). It is named after the Rue de Chevaleret, a street that already existed in 1670, and was named after the locality, which in turn was probably named after its owner. Nearby are the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital and the Ministry of Finance.

The Parc de Choisy is a public park located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, near the Quartier Asiatique between avenue de Choisy, rue George-Eastman, rue Charles-Moureu, and rue du Docteur-Magnan. It was created in 1937. The nearest metro station is Tolbiac.

The lycée Claude-Monet is a French public educational institution established in 1955. It consists of college, high school, and preparatory classes. It is located at 1, rue du Docteur-Magnan, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris close to the Quartier Asiatique. It is close to the parc de Choisy, stade Charles-Moureu and centre Pierre-Mendès-France, a university centre attached to the Pantheon-Sorbonne University.

The École supérieure de journalisme (ESJ Paris; in English: Superior School of Journalism of Paris) is an institution of higher education in Paris dedicated to journalism and related studies. Its origin was in the Collège Libre des Sciences Sociales founded in 1895 by Dick May (pen name of Jeanne Weill, daughter of the rabbi of Algiers), and other supporters during the Dreyfus Affair. It was made a separate Grande École in 1899 and claims the title of the "world's first school of journalism". Intended to give students a broad knowledge of politics and economics, it did not award a separate journalism degree by name until 1910. The University of Missouri School of Journalism also claims the title of "first in the world", but it did not open until 1908 in Columbia, Missouri in the United States.
