Holy Island (Welsh: Ynys Gybi, 'the island of (Saint) Cybi') is an island (15.22 sq mi (39.4 km2)) on the western side of the larger Isle of Anglesey, Wales, from which it is separated by the Cymyran Strait. It is called "Holy" because of the high concentration of standing stones, burial chambers, and other religious sites on the small island. The alternative English name of the island is Holyhead Island. According to the 2011 UK Census, the population was 13,659, of which 11,431 (84%) lived in the largest town, Holyhead.

Trearddur or Trearddur Bay (Welsh: Bae Trearddur) is a village, seaside resort and community south of Holyhead on the west coast of Holy Island off the north-west coast of Anglesey in Wales. The community includes the small settlement of Penrhosfeilw and the Refail Farm estate.

Ysbyty Penrhos Stanley (English: Penrhos Stanley Hospital) is a health facility in Holyhead, Anglesey, Wales. It is managed by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Morawelon (Welsh: Môrawelon) is an area and community electoral ward in the town of Holyhead, Anglesey, Wales. In 2011 the ward had a population of 1,504.The Eaton Electrical factory was based in Morawelon from 1961. When its closure was announced, to relocate to Eastern Europe with the loss of 265 jobs, nobody other than the workforce led the fight (unsuccessfully) to keep the factory open. It was to close by December 2009.

Trearddur Bay Lifeboat Station is located in Trearddur, Anglesey, Wales and opened in 1967 as an inshore lifeboat station.The station currently operates both an Atlantic 85-class lifeboat and a D-class (IB1) lifeboat.

Capel Disgwylfa was a Calvinistic Methodist chapel in London Road, Holyhead, Anglesey. It was built in 1881, rebuilt in 1889 and rebuilt again in 1909. The building of 1909 was in the Romanesque style with a gable-entry plan and flanking turrets.Henry David Hughes was the minister of Disgwylfa from 1915 until his death in 1947. Widely known as Harri Hughes, he had left school at the age of twelve to work in the Dinorwic quarry, as several generations of his family had done. At the age of twenty-one he resumed his education and entered the ministry. His son, Cledwyn Hughes, was the MP for Anglesey from 1951 until 1979 and was also a deacon at Disgwylfa.The chapel was demolished in 2009.

Kingsland is an area in the community of Holyhead, Anglesey, Wales. It is also a community electoral ward for the town, electing two councillors to Holyhead Town Council. Prior to the Isle of Anglesey electoral boundary changes in 2012 Kingsland was also a ward for the Isle of Anglesey County Council, electing a county councillor. It was traditionally represented by the Labour Party. After 2012 it became part of the Ynys Gybi county ward. According to the 2011 UK Census the population of Kingsland was 1,525.

Penrhos Country Park (also known as Penrhos Coastal Park) (grid reference SH2781) is a country park near Holyhead, on the island of Anglesey in Wales, United Kingdom. The park attracts approximately 100,000 visitors each year. It was opened in 1971 on the former Penrhos estate which was formerly owned by the Stanley family and at the time of opening the Anglesey Aluminium company. It is adjacent to the A55, on the Anglesey Coastal Path and also adjoins Beddmanarch Bay. Parts of the park are a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).In 2016, Isle of Anglesey County Council gave planning permission to Land and Lakes for a holiday village development in the park. As mitigation, Land and Lakes would develop a nature reserve at nearby Cae Glas. Part of the financial case for development is to provide accommodation for workers at any new nuclear development at Wylfa nuclear power station, and as of 2022 development had not started.The park was voted "UK's Favourite Park 2022" in a poll organised by the charity Fields in Trust.

Holyhead Golf Club is a golf course to the southeast of Holyhead, in Anglesey, northwestern Wales. It is a 6090-yard par-71 course, which was originally a 9-hole course designed by James Braid in 1912 and opened for play in 1914. The golf course contains heathland and thick gorse cover. Steve Elliott is a professional at the club.

Anglesey Aluminium was a joint venture between Rio Tinto and Kaiser Aluminum. Its aluminium smelter, located on the outskirts of Holyhead, was one of the largest employers in North Wales, with 540 staff members, and began to produce aluminium in 1971. It was built on the Penrhos Estate, 500 acres of which were sold by the Stanley family for the project. Up until its closure it produced up to 142,000 tonnes of aluminium every year and was the biggest single user of electricity (255 MW) in the United Kingdom.Alumina and coke shipped from Jamaica and Australia would berth at the company's private jetty in Holyhead harbour. This jetty is linked by a series of conveyor belts passing through tunnels to the plant. A spur rail link from the main North Wales Coast Line runs into the plant and was used for both receipt of raw materials and despatch of aluminium. The plant was powered from the National Grid and received most of its electricity from Wylfa nuclear power station 15 miles away. AA was used as a base load for Wylfa and saved the grid the cost of keeping a power station on standby. The power contract terminated in 2009, and the aluminium smelting operation was shut down as no new contract was negotiated. The aluminium re-melt facility initially remained open after the shut down of the smelter, but its closure was announced in February 2013. The company has announced tentative plans for a biomass plant on the site, but smelting operations have been halted and the plant mothballed until 2016.It was announced in September 2022 that the former Anglesey Aluminium site had been purchased by Stena Line, with their intention to use the site to facilitate an extension of Stena's existing operations of the Port of Holyhead. The sale included the spur rail line, the jetty in Holyhead harbour and the former conveyor tunnel linking the jetty to the main site.Near the smelter the Aluminium Powder Company (ALPOCO) produces aluminium powder, which is used in pastes, pigments, chemicals, metallurgy, refractory, propulsion, pyrotechnics, spray deposition and powder metallurgy. Adjacent to the site is the public access Penrhos Country Park.

Holyhead Hotspur Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Pêl-droed Hotspur Caergybi) is a football club based in Holyhead, Anglesey playing in the Cymru North. The team's first choice strip is burgundy shirts, burgundy shorts and white socks. The second choice strip is all blue. Holyhead Hotspur play at the New Oval ground opposite the leisure centre in Holyhead. The new stadium was opened in a ceremony on 27 July 2007 with a friendly match played against a Wolverhampton Wanderers XI.
