Holyhead TMD is a traction maintenance depot located in Holyhead, Gwynedd, Wales. The depot is situated on the North Wales Coast Line and is on the eastern side of the line, to the south of Holyhead station.The depot code is HD. The carriage sidings, adjacent to the station, are coded as HC.

Capel Disgwylfa was a Calvinistic Methodist chapel in London Road, Holyhead, Anglesey. It was built in 1881, rebuilt in 1889 and rebuilt again in 1909. The building of 1909 was in the Romanesque style with a gable-entry plan and flanking turrets.Henry David Hughes was the minister of Disgwylfa from 1915 until his death in 1947. Widely known as Harri Hughes, he had left school at the age of twelve to work in the Dinorwic quarry, as several generations of his family had done. At the age of twenty-one he resumed his education and entered the ministry. His son, Cledwyn Hughes, was the MP for Anglesey from 1951 until 1979 and was also a deacon at Disgwylfa.The chapel was demolished in 2009.

Holyhead Hotspur Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Pêl-droed Hotspur Caergybi) is a football club based in Holyhead, Anglesey playing in the Cymru North. The team's first choice strip is burgundy shirts, burgundy shorts and white socks. The second choice strip is all blue. Holyhead Hotspur play at the New Oval ground opposite the leisure centre in Holyhead. The new stadium was opened in a ceremony on 27 July 2007 with a friendly match played against a Wolverhampton Wanderers XI.

Holyhead railway station (Welsh: Gorsaf reilffordd Caergybi) serves the Welsh town of Holyhead (Welsh: Caergybi) on Holy Island, Anglesey. The station is the western terminus of the North Wales Coast Line 105+1⁄2 miles (170 km) west of Crewe and is managed by Transport for Wales Rail. It connects with the Port of Holyhead ferry terminal. The station is connected to the town centre by a stainless steel pedestrian/cycle bridge named The Celtic Gateway (Welsh: Porth Celtaidd).

The Port of Holyhead (Welsh: Porthladd Caergybi) is a commercial and ferry port in Anglesey, Wales, handling more than 2 million passengers each year. It covers an area of 240 hectares, and is operated by Stena Line Ports Ltd. The port is the principal link for crossings from north Wales and central and northern England to Ireland. The port is partly on Holy Island and partly on Salt Island (Welsh: Ynys Halen). It is made up of the Inner Harbour, the Outer Harbour and the New Harbour (opened in 1880), all sheltered by the Holyhead Breakwater which, at 2.7 kilometres, is the longest in the UK.

The Celtic Gateway (Welsh: Porth Celtaidd) is a stainless steel pedestrian and cycle bridge located in Anglesey, Wales. Opened on 19 October 2006 by Andrew Davies AM to better connect Holyhead's railway station and ferry terminal with the town centre for pedestrians and cyclists. The distance between the two was originally 830 metres, including two steep inclines and the crossing of a busy road. A 1991 bridge reduced the distance to 585 metres with one steep incline but with the road crossing still needed. The current bridge has one shallow incline and cuts the distance to 280 metres with no roads to cross. Crossing the Old Holyhead Harbour, the North Wales coastal railway line and the A5154 (formerly the end of the A5), this 160-metre-long (520 ft), 7-metre-wide (23 ft) structure was built in the futuristic architectural style by the Italian company Cimolai. The whole length of the bridge is wheelchair and pram accessible. The Gateway is further enhanced by a number of artworks. These include: "Sun boats", a series of bronze plaques which have been built into the bridge paving. The sun boat image is derived from the sun-worshipping Celts who believed it travelled across the night sky in a boat; 'Porth Celtaidd - Celtic Gateway' a series of Venetian Glass mosaic by artist Gary Drostle.

National Cycle Route 8 (or NCR 8) is a route of the National Cycle Network, running from Cardiff to Holyhead. The route passes through the heart of Wales, and is also known by its Welsh name Lôn Las Cymru (meaning: 'Wales' green lane'). It is largely north–south from Holyhead to Cardiff or Chepstow, and in total measures some 400 km (250 mi) in length. Some of its route follows the trackbed of former railway lines, such as Lôn Las Menai, Lôn Eifion, the Mawddach Trail and the Taff Trail; in other places, the route is on public highways. Both ends are easily accessible via the rail network.

Holyhead (,; Welsh: Caergybi [kɑːɨrˈɡəbi], "Cybi's fort") is the largest town and a community in the county of Isle of Anglesey, Wales, with a population of 13,659 at the 2011 census. Holyhead is on Holy Island, bounded by the Irish Sea to the north, and is separated from Anglesey island by the narrow Cymyran Strait and was originally connected to Anglesey via the Four Mile Bridge.In the mid-19th century, Lord Stanley, a local philanthropist, funded the building of a larger causeway, known locally as "The Cobb", it now carries the A5 and the railway line. The A55 dual carriageway runs parallel to the Cobb on a modern causeway.The town houses the Port of Holyhead, a major Irish Sea port for connections towards Ireland.

St Mary's Church, Holyhead (or St. Mary Help Of Christians RC Church, Holyhead) is a Roman Catholic church in Holyhead, a large town in Anglesey, north Wales. It is within the Diocese of Wrexham. The church was officially opened on 28 February 1965.

Morawelon (Welsh: Môrawelon) is an area and community electoral ward in the town of Holyhead, Anglesey, Wales. In 2011 the ward had a population of 1,504.The Eaton Electrical factory was based in Morawelon from 1961. When its closure was announced, to relocate to Eastern Europe with the loss of 265 jobs, nobody other than the workforce led the fight (unsuccessfully) to keep the factory open. It was to close by December 2009.

Holyhead Golf Club is a golf course to the southeast of Holyhead, in Anglesey, northwestern Wales. It is a 6090-yard par-71 course, which was originally a 9-hole course designed by James Braid in 1912 and opened for play in 1914. The golf course contains heathland and thick gorse cover. Steve Elliott is a professional at the club.
