The théâtre des Mathurins, also called Les Mathurins, is a Parisian theatre located 36, rue des Mathurins in the 8th arrondissement of Paris established in 1897.

The Hôtel de Pourtalès is a historic hôtel particulier, a type of large townhouse of France, at 7 rue Tronchet in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. It was designed by architect Félix Duban and built in 1839 for James-Alexandre de Pourtalès, a Swiss-born banker and art collector. It has been listed as an official historical monument since September 17, 2002.The building is now operated as a luxurious apartment hotel. In October 2016, reality TV personality Kim Kardashian said that she was held at gunpoint and robbed of valuable jewelry by a group of assailants who gained access to her suite in the building.

The One-Two-Two was one of the most luxurious and illustrious brothels of Paris in the 1930s and 1940s. The name was taken from the address, 122 Rue de Provence, 8th arrondissement of Paris. The numbers were translated into English to ensure that foreign tourists would be able to find the brothel and as a password for French people. Opened in 1924, the "One-Two-Two" closed its doors in 1946 when the Marthe Richard law prohibited brothels in France. The building is now used for business and law offices.

The Chapelle expiatoire ("Expiatory Chapel") is a chapel located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, France. The chapel was constructed on the grounds where King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette had been buried after they had been guillotined, and it is therefore dedicated to them. The Hilton Paris Opéra is a historic hotel in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, France. It was initially opened as the Hotel Terminus on May 7, 1889 for the 1889 World's Fair in Paris, the same event the Eiffel Tower was originally built for. It was built by French architect Juste Lisch and originally designed to accommodate transatlantic travelers arriving from Normandy by train. Later, it would change its name to the Concorde Opéra.After being purchased by Hilton in 2013, the hotel underwent a restoration for upwards of $50 million, and was reopened in 2015 under the Hilton Paris Opéra name.The hotel features 268 guest rooms and is considered significant for its Belle Époque style architecture, with high ceilings and ornate decor. It was added to the Historic Hotels of America Historic Hotels Worldwide list in 2018, and in 2023 made the list of the top 25 Historic Hotels Worldwide Most Magnificent Ceilings and Domes.

Cimetière de la Madeleine is also the name of a cemetery in AmiensMadeleine Cemetery (in French known as Cimetière de la Madeleine) is a former cemetery in the 8th arrondissement of Paris and was one of the four cemeteries (the others being Errancis Cemetery, Picpus Cemetery and the Cemetery of Saint Margaret) used to dispose of the corpses of guillotine victims during the French Revolution. The cemetery was named after Mary Magdalene, known in French as Sainte-Madeleine.

The Café Terminus was a popular cafe in the late 19th century near the Gare Saint-Lazare, located in Paris, France. It is infamously known as the target of a bomb attack by French Anarchist Émile Henry on February 12, 1894.

The Lycée Condorcet (French: [lise kɔ̃dɔʁsɛ]) is a school founded in 1803 in Paris, France, located at 8, rue du Havre, in the city's 9th arrondissement. It is one of the four oldest high schools in Paris and also one of the most prestigious. Since its inception, various political eras have seen it given a number of different names, but its identity today honors the memory of the Marquis de Condorcet. The school provides secondary education as part of the French education system. Henri Bergson, Horace Finaly, Claude Lévi-Strauss, Marcel Proust, Francis Poulenc and Paul Verlaine are some of the students who attended the Lycée Condorcet. Saint-Lazare (French pronunciation: ​[sɛ̃ lazaʁ]) is a station on Line 3, Line 12, Line 13 and Line 14 of the Paris Métro. Line 9 also stops at Saint Augustin and RER E stops at Haussmann Saint Lazare. A tunnel connects both of these stations. Located on the border of the 8th and 9th arrondissements, it is the second busiest station of the Métro system after Gare du Nord with 39 million passengers annually. The station offers connections to the following other stations: Gare Saint-Lazare (SNCF), Haussmann–Saint-Lazare on RER E, Havre – Caumartin on Line 3 and Line 9, in addition to Saint-Augustin on Line 9. The station is named after the mainline railway station, which is situated in Rue Saint-Lazare. It is in the commercial centre of Paris, near the major department stores.
