Marseillan (French pronunciation: ​[maʁsɛjɑ̃]; Occitan: Massilhan) is a commune in the Hérault department in southern France. As of Jan. 2019, the population of Marseillan is 7734.The port of Marseillan is a protected heritage site, and the altar and organ in the church are also listed. There has been virtually no new building in the heart of the village since the 17th century, and many of the houses date to the 12th century.
