Gosforth Junior High Academy, formerly known as Gosforth West Middle School is a middle school in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is the Junior School of Gosforth Academy. It is one of three middle schools where students usually transfer to Gosforth Academy. The school is in the West Gosforth electoral ward. It is one of Newcastle's "Special Educational Needs" centres for Visual Impairment, along with Regent Farm First School and Gosforth Academy.

Regent Centre is a large business park in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The business park is home to a variety of companies, including banking group Virgin Money whose Head Office is located on the site. The centre has its own transport interchange with a station on the Tyne & Wear Metro and integrated bus station.

Gosforth Academy (formerly Gosforth High School) is an English secondary school in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne. As well as having a sixth form department it is a specialist Language College. Many of its mainstream students come from three large feeder middle schools: Gosforth Central Middle School, Gosforth East Middle School and Gosforth Junior High Academy. It also houses a large sixth form college, where the majority of the lower school students continue their studies. There is a Special education centre within the school to aid students who need it. The school houses 'Gosforth Community Education', which provides courses for adults within the local community. The school is also a regional centre for young people with visual impairment.Both Gosforth Academy and Gosforth Junior High Academy are managed under a single company, Gosforth Federated Academies Limited, incorporated 5 November 2010.

West Gosforth was an electoral ward in the north of Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England. It was created in 2004 and abolished in 2018. The population of the ward is 9,681, increasing to 9,991 at the 2011 Census, 3.7% of the total population of Newcastle upon Tyne. Car ownership in the area is 78.1%, higher than the city average of 54.7%. Other wards in Gosforth include Gosforth, Dene and South Gosforth, Fawdon and West Gosforth, and Parklands (which includes northern Gosforth including Melton Park and Brunton Park).

Gosforth is an affluent suburb of the city and metropolitan borough of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It constituted a separate urban district from 1895 until 1974 before officially merging with the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. In 2001, it had a population of 23,620.There are four electoral wards on Newcastle City Council that include parts of Gosforth: Dene and South Gosforth, Fawdon and West Gosforth, Gosforth, and Parklands. Gosforth is located to the north of the city centre.

West Gosforth was a railway station on the Ponteland Railway, which ran between South Gosforth and Ponteland, with a sub-branch line to Darras Hall. The station served Gosforth in Newcastle upon Tyne. The station was opened on 1 June 1905, by the North Eastern Railway. It was situated near to the junction of the Great North Road (B1318) and Hollywood Avenue. A signal box was located on the down platform, with access to a small goods shed at the back of the platform.

Regent Centre is a Tyne and Wear Metro station in Zone B, serving the suburb of Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne. It joined the network on 10 May 1981, following the opening of the second phase of the network, between South Gosforth and Bank Foot.

Sanderson Hospital was an orthopaedic hospital for children and an elderly care facility used by the NHS in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

Newcastle School for Boys, or NSB, is a private school for boys aged 3–18 in Gosforth, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. It has approximately 400 students.

All Saints’ Church, Gosforth is a Church of England (Anglican) parish church in the suburb of Gosforth, which lies to the north of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne. All Saints’ is part of the Diocese of Newcastle and within the Newcastle Central Deanery. It has served the community of Gosforth since being consecrated in 1887. The building is an example of Gothic Revival architecture constructed between 1885 and 1887. The tower is later, of 1896, and has a ring of ten bells. The interior has Victorian wood carvings by Ralph Hedley, an organ by Harrison & Harrison and stained glass windows depicting the saints throughout the ages. Alongside the church building is an Edwardian church hall, a garden of remembrance and church green.

Gosforth was a local government district in Northumberland from 1872 to 1974. On 20 September 1872, a Local Board was formed for the civil parishes of South Gosforth and Coxlodge, known as the South Gosforth Local Board. Under the local Government Act 1894 South Gosforth became an urban district. A year later, by a Northumberland County Council order dated 14 March 1895, the title was changed to Gosforth Urban District.On 15 July 1903, the Urban District Council applied for an order from Northumberland County Council to extend its boundaries to include the parishes of North Gosforth, East Brunton, West Brunton, Fawdon and the greater part of Kenton. On 9 September 1903, an inquiry was held into the Gosforth Scheme, but the proposal was refused. The parishes of Coxlodge and South Gosforth were amalgamated into the parish of Gosforth in 1908. Gosforth then extended its boundaries after the County of Northumberland Review Order 1935, to include part of Castle Ward Rural District. This comprised parts of East Brunton, Fawdon and North Gosforth civil parishes. In 1974, the urban district was abolished and its area was transferred to the new metropolitan county of Tyne and Wear under the Local Government Act 1972. Gosforth's area was combined with the County Borough of Newcastle, Newburn Urban District and parts of Castle Ward Rural District to form the present-day metropolitan borough of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Broadway West Sports Ground is a multi-use sports complex in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It is located in the Parklands ward. It is home to sports teams that are under the Gosforth Sports Association banner; Gosforth Rugby Football Club, Newcastle City Cricket Club, Tyne Tees Tigers and Newcastle Nighthawks Baseball Club. The site is located near the Wansbeck Road Metro station. Gosforth Rugby Football Club moved to the site after previously being tenants at Bullocksteads Sports Ground and Druid Park.The sports ground and adjacent Kingston Park Road playing fields are also used for community groups and events. It also hosts the Newcastle Roundtable Fireworks Display annually around Guy Fawkes Night. Red House Farm J.F.C. play at the adjacent Kingston Park Road playing fields after moving from Broadway West in 2003 to build their own club house.Gosforth Sports Association took a 30-year lease on the site and clubhouse in September 2015 from Newcastle City Council.
