Great Portland Street in Marylebone, in the West End of London, links Oxford Street with the A501 Marylebone Road. The street, which is part of a broader rectilinear street pattern, includes the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. and a number of small independent shops. The street is electorally split between the City of Westminster's Marylebone High Street and West End wards.

Yalding House is a building at 152–156 Great Portland Street, London, United Kingdom. It was formerly owned by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), and from 1952 until 2013 housed the corporation's music department.The BBC Central Music Library was located on the ground floor and basement: the building's former role as a car showroom made it ideal for the heavy shelving required to store the collection. The BBC Third Programme, later renamed Radio 3, was also based at Yalding House. It became the home of BBC Radio 1, together with Newsbeat, in 1996 when the Radio 1 studios were moved from Egton House. BBC Radio 1Xtra was launched at Yalding House. On 14 December 2012, Radio 1 broadcast its last show from Yalding House which was The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw.

Hallam Street is a road situated in the Parish of St Marylebone and London's West End. In administrative terms it lies within the City of Westminster's Marylebone High Street Ward as well as the Harley Street Conservation Area. Formerly named both Charlotte Street and Duke Street, it was renamed in the early 1900s after Henry Hallam (1777–1859), a noted historian who had been a local resident, and his son Arthur Henry Hallam (1811–1833), poet and the subject of Tennyson's elegy In Memoriam.

Duchess Street is a street in the City of Westminster, London, that runs west to east from Mansfield Street in the west to Hallam Street in the east, and crosses Portland Place about halfway. It is named after Margaret Bentinck, Duchess of Portland.

BBC Radio 6 Music is a British digital radio station owned and operated by the BBC, specialising primarily in alternative music. BBC 6 Music was the first national music radio station to be launched by the BBC in 32 years. It is available only on digital media: DAB radio, BBC Sounds, digital television, and throughout northern and western Europe through the Astra 2B satellite. BBC Radio 6 Music has been described as a "dedicated alternative music station". Many presenters have argued against the perception that the main focus is indie guitar music. The trust commented that the station was "well-liked by its listeners, was highly distinctive and made an important contribution". In 2018, 6 Music was the most listened-to digital-only radio station, with an average weekly audience of 2.53 million.According to RAJAR, the station broadcasts to a weekly audience of 2.5 million with a listening share of 2.5% as of December 2022.

Weymouth Street lies in the Marylebone district of the City of Westminster and connects Marylebone High Street with Great Portland Street. The area was developed in the late 18th century by Henrietta Cavendish Holles and her husband Edward Harley, 2nd Earl of Oxford. This part of Marylebone originally belonged to the Manor of Tyburn which existed at the time of the Domesday Book (1086).

BBC Wogan House is a building in central London owned by Abrdn and currently on long-term lease to the BBC. It is located on the junction of Gildea Street and Great Portland Street adjacent to the BBC's headquarters, Broadcasting House. Originally named Western House, on 16 November 2016 the building was renamed Wogan House after the Irish broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan, who had died in January that year, and broadcast his final Wake up to Wogan breakfast show from the building in December 2009.

Bolsover Street is in the Parish of St Marylebone in London’s West End. In administrative terms it lies within the City of Westminster's Marylebone High Street Ward and is partly in the Harley Street Conservation Area whilst also sitting on the edges of the Regents Park and East Marylebone Conservation Areas.The predominant land use on Bolsover Street is office business use, mixed with hotels (and YHA Hostel), medical and professional activity. Numerous communications, new media and broadcast entities are located in offices on the street. Residential presence on the street is strongest at its northern and closest end to Regent's Park and Regent's Place. The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital has been present on the street since 1907.

EIFA International School, formerly known as L'Ecole Internationale Franco-Anglaise, is an English-French international co-educational nursery, junior and senior independent day school, located in Marylebone, London. EIFA is a school for children aged 24 months to 18 years old, from Early childhood to Key Stage 5. Its curriculum is accredited by the Mission Laïque Française and the French National Ministry of Education and it is overseen by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. St Paul's Church, for many years known as the Portland Chapel, was built in the eighteenth century on the site of the former Marylebone Basin reservoir in London. Today the site is occupied by the BBC and known as Brock House, originally the Philharmonic Hall.The building was constructed in 1766 or 1775–6 of brick with a stone steeple and consecrated in 1831. It was designed by Stiff Leadbetter for the Portland Estates. The Philharmonic Hall was built on the site of the church in 1907/08 to replace the St James's Hall in Regent Street which had been demolished in 1905.
