GCUH is part of the Gold Coast's G:link light rail network and was the original northern terminus of the G:link until an extension was completed to Helensvale in 2017. The Gold Coast University Hospital station is the only underground light rail station for network and provides a bus interchange located on the street level. Translink provides an integrated public transport network for the whole of South East Queensland. Surfside buslines under contract from Translink provides suburban bus services from the GCUH bus station to the surrounding suburbs. The light rail service, known as the G:link runs from Broadbeach South to Helensvale via the key activity precincts of Southport and Surfers Paradise.

Gold Coast Hockey Centre is a hockey stadium in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The venue was renovated to host the men's and women's hockey event of the 2018 Commonwealth Games. The Biggera Creek Dam, or formally the Biggera Creek Flood Mitigation Dam, is a dam established for flood mitigation purposes over the Biggera Creek, located in the South East region of Queensland, Australia. The dam is situated approximately 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) northwest of Southport in the suburb of Arundel. It is operated by the Gold Coast City Council. The dam has a capacity of 3,700 megalitres (810×10^6 imp gal; 980×10^6 US gal) and the height of the dam wall is 12.5 meters (41 feet).Because its sole purpose is flood mitigation, the retention basin behind the dam is almost always empty of water.
