Adams–Chadeayne–Taft Estate

The Wyant-Talbot House is located on Clark Avenue in the village of Cornwall on Hudson, New York. It is a Registered Historic Place, built around 1870 in the Queen Anne style by L.N. Wyant, a local merchant. Talbot owned a store in the village, and by 1891, most of Clark Avenue. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. Little is known about Mr. Leonard N. Wyant; in April 1880 he was elected an elder of the Cornwall Presbyterian Church.

The Cornwall Central School District is based in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York, and provides public education to the children of that village, the Town of Cornwall and portions of the neighboring towns of New Windsor and Woodbury. It operates three elementary schools, a middle school, high school and a small main office building in downtown Cornwall on Hudson. It was created from the merger of the Cornwall on Hudson and Cornwall school districts in the mid-1950s. The buildings used by both districts are still in use today. The others have been built since then. It is governed by a seven-member elected school board and is financed by property taxes levied within the district.

Moodna Creek is a small tributary of the Hudson River that drains eastern Orange County, New York. At 15.5 miles (25 km) in length from its source at the confluence of Cromline Creek and Otter Kill west of Washingtonville, it is the longest stream located entirely within the county. Despite its small size relative to the Hudson, it has been a major influence on the topography of eastern central Orange County. Its 187.2-square-mile (485 km2) watershed, including not only both its parent streams but Woodbury Creek as well, reaches as far inland as Warwick as well as 21 other area communities. Near Salisbury Mills it is crossed by the Moodna Viaduct, the longest actively used railroad trestle east of the Mississippi.

Upland Lawn is a historic home located at Cornwall in Orange County, New York, USA. It was built about 1850 and is a 1+1⁄2-story, five-bay, center-hall-plan wood-frame dwelling in the Gothic Revival style. It features a steeply pitched, cross-gable roof with wood shingles.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The Edward Payson Roe Memorial Park is a public park and hiking trail dedicated to American novelist Edward Payson Roe, located in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York. It borders on land of the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum's Wildlife Education Center. The park features a memorial tablet dedicated to Roe's legacy in 1894.

Dock Hill Road Extension Stone Arch Bridge is a historic stone arch bridge located at Cornwall on Hudson in Orange County, New York. It was built about 1870.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

New York Military Academy (NYMA) is a college preparatory, co-ed boarding school in the suburban town of Cornwall, 60 miles (97 km) north of New York City, and one of the oldest military schools in the United States. Originally a boys' school, it started admitting girls in 1975. On March 3, 2015, NYMA filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, and was sold at auction to Chinese-owned foundation Research Center on Natural Conservation Inc. which reopened the school in November 2015. The Research Center then poured millions of dollars into the campus to support instruction and capital improvements. The campus also has been host to popular camps like Camp All America into the 1980s and currently the NYMA Leadership Program.

The Scribner House is located on Roe Avenue in Cornwall, New York, United States. It was built in 1910 as the main house for the summer estate of New York City publishing executive Charles Scribner II, one of Charles Scribner's Sons. It combines Colonial Revival interiors with a Shingle style exterior, including some hints of the Arts and Crafts Movement. After the Scribners sold the estate, most of the land was sold and this is all that remains. In 1996 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Lower Dock Hill Road Stone Arch Bridge is a historic stone arch bridge located at Cornwall on Hudson in Orange County, New York, United States. It was built about 1850, and is constructed of locally quarried stone.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

The Sands Ring Homestead Museum is a historic house located on Main Street in the Town of Cornwall, in Orange County, New York. It was built in 1760 by Nathaniel Sands for his cousin Comfort Sands. Comfort's wife, however, did not want to leave her home on Long Island, so Nathaniel and his family moved in. In 1777, Nathaniel gave the house as a wedding present to his son David and his bride Clementine Hallock. David, a member of the Society of Friends, opened the house to the Quaker community as a meetinghouse until the Quaker Meeting House located at 60 Quaker Avenue opened in 1790. His son David established a store on the site. It was one of the first meeting places of the Cornwall Quakers. Today it is used as museum featuring Colonial-era activities.It has been a Registered Historic Place since 1996.

Stanton Preparatory Academy was founded in 1925 to prepare young men for entrance to the United States Military Academy at West Point and the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis. The school was located in Cornwall, New York, five miles from West Point. The school was founded and led by Lieutenant Colonel Hubert G. Stanton (born September 14, 1897 – died September 15, 1955). It followed in the tradition established by the National Preparatory Academy. That institution was owned and led by LT Charles Braden from 1890 until his death in 1919. In the late 1920s, some sources refer to it as the "Stanton Loomis Academy." Stanton was a 1911 graduate of West Point. He was the president of the class of 1911. Commissioned as an officer in the coastal artillery, he was an instructor in the Department of Mathematics at the academy between 1911 and 1914 and returned in 1917 as an assistant professor remaining as a member of the faculty until 1925. The 1938 edition of the Handbook of Private Schools for American Boys and Girls lists the tuition for boarders as $1,100 (roughly $16,695 in 2009 dollars) and $675 for the day school ($10,245 in 2009 dollars). Harvard University's tuition, by comparison, was only $400 a year. The school closed by 1952; that August, the town purchased its former property. The school building was renovated as the town hall; the grounds were converted to a park. Both U.S. services now operate their own preparatory schools, the United States Military Academy Preparatory School and the Naval Academy Preparatory School.

Camp Olmsted is a summer camp and retreat in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York, operated by the Five Points Mission, a Methodist organization. It is located along Bayview Avenue, NY 218, near Storm King Mountain. It was founded in 1901 when the mission, which had been working to improve conditions for residents of the eponymous Manhattan slum (depicted in the Martin Scorsese film Gangs of New York) since 1848. At the turn of the century, they realized children from the immigrant families they were helping needed a place to get away from the city during the summer. Sarah and John Olmsted donated the 21-acre (8 ha) parcel that was originally known as the Olmsted Fresh Air Home. Campers would take the Hudson River Day Liner from the city to Cornwall and then proceed to the camp.In 1966 the New York City Society took a role in operating the camp, which, when three cabins were winterized, allowed for year-round operation. The camp was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and accredited by the American Camp Association two years later. The addition of two adjoining properties in 1998 brought the facility to its current 76-acre (30 ha) size. Today the camp runs four 12-day sessions for city children in the summer, and religious retreats year-round.
