The Wilnecote School

Wilnecote (pronounced Wilncutt) is a suburban area about two miles (3.2 km) south-east of Tamworth, in the Tamworth district, in the county of Staffordshire, England. It lies between the River Tame to the west and Kettle Brook to the north and east. It is one of the largest communities in the town. Wilnecote borders Hockley, Dosthill, Two Gates, Belgrave and Stonydelph.

Tamworth Enterprise College (formerly Belgrave High School) is a coeducational secondary school with academy status in Tamworth, Staffordshire, England, which pupils attend from the ages of 11 to 16 years old. The school was founded with just one building called "The same year Block" in 1978, and in 1981 added the "E Block" for its additional pupils. The school canteen was originally placed in the White Block but was later moved to a more central location within the school. The area that was occupied by the old canteen is now used for classroom teaching. Since then, the school canteen has been extended, with a new purpose-built extension added beside the existing kitchen area. Which has a 2 star hygiene rating. The school's headteacher is Mr Jon Spears. The schools is sponsored by the Academies Enterprise Trust. The Governmental department Ofsted gave Belgrave a grade 2 "good" rating in their 2009 inspection; however, it was judged in 2011 as not satisfactory before being graded as requires improvement in the summer of 2004.

Wilnecote railway station is a small unmanned station serving Wilnecote 1.5 miles (2 km) south of Tamworth town centre in Staffordshire, England. The station is situated beneath a bridge which carries the former A5 Watling Street.

Belgrave is an area of Tamworth, Staffordshire, roughly 1+1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) from the town centre. The main feature of Belgrave is Marlborough way which cuts the area in half. Belgrave contains Tamworth fire station, a Morrisons supermarket, a high school, three primary schools and is bordered by Two Gates, Wilnecote and Glascote.

Stonydelph is a neighbourhood about 2 miles (3 km) south east of the centre of Tamworth, Staffordshire. A spelling of "Stoneydelph" is sometimes used but the OS map of 1888 shows "Stonydelph Farm" as the only building in this area. Much of the area is based around a road named "Pennine Way". One of the education providers in the area is Three Peaks Primary Academy which was rated as "Good" by Ofsted in September 2017. Three Peaks Primary Academy is part of Creative Education Trust which is a charity and multi-academy trust. The second education provider in the area is Stonydelph Primary School located on Crowden road. A local centre is located on Ellerbeck road which contains almost all of Stonydelph's facilities that serve the area. These include: Spar supermarket, Subway (located in the supermarket), post office (located in the supermarket), church (St Martins in the Delph), pharmacy, hairdressers, Mccolls newsagents, Stonydelph Fish and Chips shop, dentist, Stonydelph health centre, Blacksmith Arms pub. The site can be accessed by the Ellerbeck road/s which allow access to the north and south of the site. There are many parking spaces in and around the area. Other facilities in the area include: Crossfell general stores, newsagents on Pennymoor road, youth club on Pennymoor road, Tamworth wellbeing and cancer support centre on Craven road.

Glascote is an area of Tamworth, in the Tamworth district, in Staffordshire, England. The area centres on the Glascote Road, and is mainly residential with a few convenience stores and pubs.

Dosthill is an area of Tamworth, Staffordshire, 2.5 miles south of the town centre, and close to the River Tame. The area is mostly residential, centering on Dosthill High Street, with local employment on the adjoining Tame Valley Industrial Estate. The High Street includes a public house called 'The Fox' and Dosthill Primary School (photo) which dates back to 1887.

Tamworth was a rural district in the English Midlands from 1894 to 1965. It was created under the Local Government Act 1894 from Tamworth rural sanitary district, and was one of a handful of rural districts to cross county boundaries, with part in Staffordshire and part in Warwickshire. It entirely surrounded the town of Tamworth. The Staffordshire part was made part of Lichfield Rural District in 1934, under a County Review Order, leaving only the Warwickshire part, to the south and east of Tamworth. The rest of the district was abolished in 1965, with part (including the majority of the population) going to the borough of Tamworth, and part going to Meriden Rural District, with most going to Atherstone Rural District.

Tamworth services is a motorway service station on the M42 motorway near Tamworth Staffordshire, England. The border between Staffordshire and Warwickshire runs through the middle of Tamworth Services. Tamworth Services opened in 1990. It is owned by Moto. The service station is situated off junction 10, and is thus accessible to non-motorway traffic via the A5. Known brands include Greggs, a Marks and Spencer 'Simply Food' store, Burger King, Costa Coffee and WHSmith. There is also a Travelodge motel and a Ladbrokes bookmakers on site, not operated by Moto.

Amington is a suburban village, parish and ward, in Staffordshire, England. Formerly a distinct village, it is now part of the Tamworth borough, with no gap between it and the neighbouring wards of Bolehall, Glascote, Glascote Heath and Stonydelph.
