Richland Creek is a stream in the western part of Nashville, Tennessee, in Davidson County. It winds for 28 miles (45 km) through the Nashville suburbs of Belle Meade and Forest Hills and eventually flows into the Cumberland River near Rock Harbor Marina at the end of Robertson Avenue. This is one of at least five streams by the name of "Richland Creek" in various regions of Tennessee.

John C. Tune Airport (ICAO: KJWN, FAA LID: JWN) is a public airport located in the western portion of the city of Nashville in Davidson County, Tennessee, United States. It is owned by the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, located approximately one mile (1.6 km) off of Briley Parkway in the Cockrill Bend area. It is a Class D airport. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned JWN by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

The Riverbend Maximum Security Institution (RMSI) is a prison in Nashville, Tennessee, operated by the Tennessee Department of Correction. The prison opened in 1989 and replaced its 100-year-old neighbor, the Tennessee State Penitentiary. RMSI, which is made up by 20 different buildings, sits on 132 acres (0.53 km2) located off Cockrill Bend Boulevard in Nashville. Riverbend's designated capacity is 714 offenders. Of that number, 480 are classified as high risk. The prison's overall mission is to ensure the safety of the public, departmental employees and inmates by managing high-risk male offenders. The Warden oversees a staff of nearly 400 people, including administrative workers, correctional officers, unit managers and medical personnel. Education programs at the prison include GED and Adult Basic Education. There are also vocational classes available for printing, commercial cleaning, industrial maintenance, cabinet making/millwork and computer information systems. TRICOR, the prison industry, also manages a data entry plant and print shop at the prison. Inmates not involved in academic vocation, or industry programs are required to work in support service roles throughout the facility. Male death row prisoners live at Riverbend. The state's electric chair and lethal injection gurney are located at Riverbend.

The Lois M. DeBerry Special Needs Facility is a maximum-security prison in Nashville, Tennessee, operated by the Tennessee Department of Correction. Opened in 1992, the facility houses prisoners with multiple and complex medical problems. The facility has a 250 bed-per-month turnover.The Cumberland River flows along the facility's west boundary, and the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution is located immediately south of the facility.

Tennessee State Prison is a former correctional facility located six miles west of downtown Nashville, Tennessee on Cockrill Bend. It opened in 1898 and has been closed since 1992 because of overcrowding concerns. The mothballed facility was severely damaged by an EF3 tornado in the tornado outbreak of March 2–3, 2020.

WNQM (1300 kHz), is a radio station located in Nashville, Tennessee, owned by F. W. Robbert Broadcasting. It airs a Christian radio format calling itself "Nashville Quality Ministries". By day, WNQM is powered at 50,000 watts non-directional, the highest power for U.S. AM stations. At night, to protect other stations on 1300 AM from interference, it reduces power to 5,000 watts and uses a directional antenna with a five-tower array. The station's radio studios and transmitter are off Ashland City Highway (Tennessee State Route 12)

The Debra K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center, formerly the Tennessee Prison for Women, is a Tennessee Department of Correction prison for women located in Nashville, Tennessee.DJRC, the state's primary women's correctional facility, houses women of all custody levels. The prison serves as the state's new female prisoner intake and classification center, and it also houses all female death row inmates. There is currently only one female on death row in the state of Tennessee, Christa Pike. Women on death row are not housed in special death row units because few women go on death row. The prison first opened in 1966 and has a capacity of 817 inmates. The state classifies the prison as a maximum security institution.

The Dr. Richard and Mrs. Margaret Martin House is a historic house in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.. It was built in 1956 for Dr. Richard Martin and his wife, Margaret. It was designed by architect Robert Bruce Draper. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since March 22, 2007.

Nashville State offers a wide array of programs and degrees including associate degree and technical certificate studies, university parallel transfer programs to four-year institutions, continuing education, adult education, two Early College High School programs, Dual Enrollment courses, and community service programs. Nashville State serves a seven county service area of Middle Tennessee, which includes Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, and Stewart counties. It is an open-entry institution with on-campus, online, virtual and hybrid options.

Richland Hall is a historic building in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. It was completed in 1894.

Hillwood High School is a public high school located in Nashville, Tennessee, and is part of the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS). Athletic teams are known as the Hilltoppers and the school colors are kelly green and white. Hillwood opened in 1959 and will close at the end of the 2022-23 school year. A new school (named James Lawson High School) with similar zoning will open in the Bellevue community in the 2023-24 school year.
