The Happy Valley Racecourse fire (Chinese: 跑馬地馬場大火) took place on 26 February 1918 in the Happy Valley Racecourse located at Happy Valley, British Hong Kong. The catastrophe caused the loss of 614 lives. In mainland Chinese sources, this is often included in the top ten fires in 20th-century China.

The Happy Valley Racecourse is one of the two racecourses for horse racing and is a tourist attraction in Hong Kong. It is located in Happy Valley on Hong Kong Island, surrounded by Wong Nai Chung Road and Morrison Hill Road. The capacity of the venue is 55,000.

Morrison Hill (Chinese: 摩理臣山 or 摩利臣山) is an area and the location of a former hill between Wan Chai and Happy Valley, on Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong.

Wong Nai Chung Road (Chinese: 黃泥涌道) is a major road in Happy Valley, Hong Kong. It is a U-shaped road that encircles the southern and eastern sides of the Happy Valley Racecourse.

The Brandon Learning Centre is the first school in Hong Kong to offer public speaking classes based around English Speaking Board assessments. The school also holds biannual shows at the Hong Kong Club which benefit Helping Hand, a charity caring for the elderly and Operation Santa Claus which supports a number of Hong Kong charitiesTeachers are recruited from the United Kingdom. Students are from varied of backgrounds and range in age from 4 - 13. The school also provides lessons in speech and drama to local schools including Queen's College, Hong Kong, La Salle College, Diocesan Boys' Primary Division Independent Schools Foundation Academy and the Victoria and Shanghai Academy Victoria Educational Organisation.

Leighton Hill (Chinese: 禮頓山) is a hill between Causeway Bay and Happy Valley, and the south of Leighton Road, Hong Kong. There were several air-raid shelters at the downhill of Leighton Hill to protect Victoria City from Japanese occupation during the Battle of Hong Kong in World War II. In 2002, a private housing estate with the same name The Leighton Hill is built.

Dorsett Wanchai Hong Kong Hotel (formerly Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong) is a 454-room 4.5-star hotel located on 387–397 Queen's Road East, midway between Wan Chai and Causeway Bay while opposite of Happy Valley Racecourse in Hong Kong Island. The Leighton Hill (Chinese: 禮頓山) is a high end private luxury housing estate in Leighton Hill, Happy Valley, Hong Kong. It is an upmarket residential development located in Happy Valley that overlooks the Happy Valley Racecourse & neighboring Caroline Hill. Large scale high-rise blocks such as these are rare in the area, adding to the prestige of these buildings. Higher floor units include balconies while those on the bottom floor are allocated private garden spaces. The two central towers are taller with an impressive internal ceiling height that ranges between 3.4-3.6m per floor. Ceilings in other blocks stand at 3.15m. Formerly Leighton Hill Government Quarters and Harcourt Place, the estate consists of 8 high-rise buildings with a total of 544 units developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties in 2002. It also includes a public community hall managed by Home Affairs Department.

The Queen Elizabeth Stadium is an indoor sport facility on the Morrison Hill in Wan Chai, on the Hong Kong Island of Hong Kong. First opened in 1980, it has a 3,500-seat arena, gymnasia, squash and badminton courts, and a multi-purpose hall. It was built by the Urban Council, and is now managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong Government. It hosted the official 1983 Asian Basketball Championship.

Sheng Kung Hui Tang Shiu Kin Secondary School (Chinese: 聖公會鄧肇堅中學 was founded by Sheng Kung Hui, the Anglican church in colony, in 1962. It is located at 9 Oi Kwan Road, Morrison Hill, Wan Chai, Hong Kong. It is one of the 114 English as the medium of instruction schools (EMI School) in Hong Kong. It is also a Christian-based school. The principal is Mr. TAI Tak-ching.

St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery is a private cemetery located in Happy Valley, on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. It is managed by The Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong together with Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Cape Collinson and St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery, Cheung Sha Wan. It is also the oldest Catholic cemetery in Hong Kong.

Canal Road East (Chinese: 堅拿道東), Canal Road West (堅拿道西) and the Canal Road Flyover (堅拿道天橋) are important roads in the Wan Chai District of Hong Kong Island, between the areas of East Point near Causeway Bay, and Morrison Hill near Wan Chai.
