Velosaurus (sculpture)

The Portland metropolitan area is a metro area in the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington centered on the principal city of Portland, Oregon. The U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) identifies it as the Portland–Vancouver–Hillsboro, OR–WA Metropolitan Statistical Area, a metropolitan statistical area used by the United States Census Bureau (USCB) and other entities. The OMB defines the area as comprising Clackamas, Columbia, Multnomah, Washington, and Yamhill Counties in Oregon, and Clark and Skamania Counties in Washington. The area's population is estimated at 2,753,168 in 2017. The Oregon portion of the metropolitan area is the state's largest urban center, while the Washington portion of the metropolitan area is the state's third largest urban center after Seattle (the Seattle Urban Area includes Tacoma and Everett). Portions of this area (Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties) are under the jurisdiction of Metro, a directly elected regional government which, among other things, is responsible for land-use planning in the region.

Southeast 17th Avenue and Rhine Street is a MAX Orange Line station located at 3424 Southeast 17th Avenue in Portland, Oregon's Brooklyn neighborhood, in the United States. Along These Lines is installed at the station. It is the least busy station in the MAX network.

Bob Stacey Crossing (formerly Gideon Overcrossing) is a pedestrian bridge in southeast Portland, Oregon's Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood, in the United States. The bridge spans tracks for both Union Pacific Railroad and TriMet's MAX Light Rail. Construction on the $15 million project started in May 2019. The overcrossing opened in November 2020.The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) renamed the bridge Bob Stacey Crossing in 2021.

Along These Lines is an outdoor 2015 stainless steel sculpture and paving medallion by Anne Storrs, installed at the Rhine–Lafayette Pedestrian Overpass landings at the MAX Orange Line's Southeast 17th Avenue and Rhine Street station in southeast Portland, Oregon's Brooklyn neighborhood, in the United States. According to TriMet, the pieces were inspired by the "similarity of trees and root systems to the branching pattern of train tracks". The stainless steel rings that circle both pieces display poetry by Cleveland High School student Monica Arnone and Paulann Petersen, Oregon Poet Laureate Emerita.

Southeast Grind was a coffeehouse in Portland, Oregon's Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood, in the United States. Opened by owner Kacey Birch in 2009, Southeast Grind was the city's only coffee shop operating 24 hours a day, as of 2019. Besides coffee and espresso drinks, the coffeehouse served juices, smoothies, teas, pastries, quesadillas, salads, sandwiches, and other snacks. Southeast Grind was described as a "safe, reliable spot", a "living room", and a "respite" for a diverse clientele, especially students. It closed in October 2019 because of lease issues, renovations required to address the building's structural problems and Birch's desire to focus on family.

The Rhine–Lafayette Pedestrian Overpass is a pedestrian bridge near TriMet's Southeast 17th Avenue and Rhine Street station in southeast Portland, Oregon. It opened in September 2015, replacing a bridge which had spanned the Union Pacific Railroad tracks since 1943. Worked on the bridge began in 2014, and the span was lifted into place in December. Elevator improvements were completed in 2018. Along These Lines is installed at one end.

People's Food Co-op or just the People's Co-op is a food cooperative located in Portland, Oregon. Aladdin Theater is a theater in the Brooklyn neighborhood of southeast Portland, Oregon. It originally opened as a vaudeville house called Geller's Theatre on December 25 (Christmas Day), 1927. Its name was changed to Aladdin in 1934. Later the venue operated as a pornographic cinema for more than 30 years, screening the film Deep Throat for fourteen of them. It was revived as a classic movie and live music venue with a capacity of 620 in 1991.
