The Cheatham Building is a historic building in Nashville, Tennessee.

On December 25, 2020, Anthony Quinn Warner detonated a recreational vehicle (RV) bomb in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, United States, killing himself, injuring eight people and damaging dozens of buildings in the surrounding area. It took place at 166 Second Avenue North between Church Street and Commerce Street at 6:30 am, adjacent to an AT&T network facility, resulting in days-long communication service outages. People near the RV heard gunshots, and loudspeakers on the RV warned them to evacuate before the bombing, which was felt miles away. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) determined that Warner, a Nashville resident, was the bomber and acted alone.

The Courtyard Nashville Downtown is a hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, housed in the historic Art Deco-style First National Bank Building, built in 1904. The First National Bank of Nashville was organized in 1863. The bank's twelve-story building, designed by architect Barnett, Hayes and Barnett and built in 1904, was the tallest building in the city at time of its construction and is known as "Nashville's first skyscraper".In later years, when the building housed other tenants, it was known first as the Independent Life Insurance Company Building and later as the Third National Bank. In 1936, the Third National Bank added a twelve-story air-conditioned extension to the original bank building and installed a new facade. The Third National Bank name is emblazoned on the building's western and northern walls.From 1968 to 1986 the building housed the offices of J.C. Bradford Company. After J.C. Bradford moved out, the building remained vacant until 1997, when it was restored and renovated for use as a hotel.

The Life & Casualty Tower (also known as the L & C Tower) is a skyscraper in Nashville, Tennessee located at 401 Church Street. It stands 152.5 meters (409 ft) and has 30 floors. It was designed by Edwin A. Keeble, with structural engineering done by Ross Bryan Associates, and was finished in 1957. It was Nashville's first true skyscraper and the tallest in Tennessee until 1965, when 100 North Main Street in Memphis surpassed it. Exterior materials are limestone, granite, and bright green glass windows. Intersecting curves and angles at the building's base focus attention on the entrance, which angles out to the corner of Church Street and 4th Avenue. In the building's early days, the L&C sign at its apex functioned as a weather beacon, changing color to indicate the weather forecast.

The Maxwell House Hotel was a major hotel in downtown Nashville. Because of its stature, seven US Presidents and other prominent guests stayed there over the years. It was built by Colonel John Overton Jr. and named for his wife, Harriet (Maxwell) Overton. The architect was Isaiah Rogers. Former Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest was inducted into the Ku Klux Klan in this hotel in 1866. The first national meeting of the KKK took place at the hotel in April 1867. It later became the namesake of Maxwell House coffee. It was demolished in 1961.

The Wildhorse Saloon is a country/western-themed restaurant, live music venue, and dance club located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. It is managed by Marriott and owned by Ryman Hospitality Properties (formerly known as Gaylord Entertainment Company). Originally opened on June 1, 1994 in a converted warehouse, the Wildhorse initially capitalized on the line dancing craze of the early-to-mid-1990s. As it continues to enjoy success as a bar and dance venue, in recent years it has become a successful concert venue for all genres of music. Because of its downtown location, open bar, large atrium, and permanent stage, the Wildhorse is also often used as a formal banquet hall. The Wildhorse consists of three levels. The top two levels overlook the dance floor and stage. On April 13, 2023, it was announced that the Wildhorse Saloon would be replaced by a concert hall and honky-tonk inspired by Luke Combs's song "Hurricane" with building updates expected to begin as late as late 2023 or early 2024. Wildhorse Saloon intends to remain open during redevelopment.
