Atlanta Silverbacks Park is a sports complex in unincorporated DeKalb County, just outside Atlanta, United States that is currently used primarily for soccer. It was formerly the home venue of the Atlanta Silverbacks soccer club, from which the complex gets its name. It is also the home of the Atlanta Rhinos of USA Rugby League, Atlanta Renegades Rugby Club, as well as Rugby ATL of Major League Rugby. The park includes a 5,000-seat soccer-specific stadium, which opened in 2006 and is designed for future expansion. The venue was the site of Soccer Bowl 2013.

Tom Moreland Interchange, colloquially known as Spaghetti Junction, is the interchange of Interstate 85 (I-85) and I-285, along with several access roads, in northern DeKalb County, Georgia, northeast of Atlanta and just to the south of Norcross in Gwinnett County. It is named for Tom Moreland, a former commissioner of the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) from 1975 to 1987. I-85 is a major traffic corridor from the northeastern suburbs of Atlanta in the Gwinnett County area into downtown Atlanta. I-285 is a beltway around Atlanta. In the northern I-285 corridor, in the area from I-85 counterclockwise to I-75, there has been a large amount of development of office space. Spaghetti Junction was designed to remove choke points and reduce congestion in the I-85 and I-285 interchange, which had been a cloverleaf.

Studio One was a recording studio located in Doraville, Georgia, a suburban hamlet northeast of Atlanta. The address was 3864 Oakcliff Industrial Court, Doraville GA 30340. It is now occupied by a non related business and used as a warehouse. The studio was designed and constructed in 1970 by audio engineer Rodney Mills, with the support of music publisher Bill Lowery and future Atlanta Rhythm Section manager Buddy Buie. Lowery and Buie, along with the latter's songwriting partner J. R. Cobb and the Classics IV's manager Paul Cochran, were the studio's original owners. The studio output included a diverse range of recordings by Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Joe South, Atlanta Rhythm Section, .38 Special and Outlaws. Singer Ronnie Hammond also started his career at the studio, originally employed as an assistant audio engineer. Atlanta Rhythm Section was formed from session musicians used at Studio One and utilised the facilities extensively for rehearsals. Buddy Buie continued to run Studio One until 1986 when he sold it to Georgia State University.

Embry Hills is a neighborhood in northern unincorporated DeKalb County, Georgia, United States, near the intersection of I-85 and I-285. The neighborhood has a mix of middle-class young families and retirees, with houses priced from the mid-$200,000s to the upper-$300,000s. Embry Hills is located south of Doraville, east of Chamblee, and north of Tucker, but is not considered part of any of the three cities, although many area businesses and residences use a Chamblee address.

The Monroe F. Swilley Jr. Library serves as the information center for the Cecil B. Day campus of Mercer University in Atlanta. It is named in honor of the late Dr. Monroe F. Swilley, the first chairman of the board of trustees and only president of the Atlanta Baptist College (1968–1972). When the Atlanta Baptist College merged with Mercer University in 1972, Dr. Swilley assumed the Mercer University position of vice president.

The Northwoods Historic District in DeKalb County, Georgia consists of five adjoining residential neighborhoods, including Northwoods, Fleetwood Hills, Gordon Hills, Gordon Heights and Sequoyah Woods. The Northwoods, Gordon Hills and Gordon Heights neighborhoods are all located within the city limits of Doraville, Georgia, and Sequoyah Woods and Fleetwood Hills are located in unincorporated DeKalb County. The district was developed in the 1950s and 60's and consists of approximately 530 acres with a total of 922 historic/contributing resources.: 47 On June 2, 2014 the Northwoods Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The district is significant because it is an intact example of midcentury and contemporary architecture in Georgia.: 46  The district was developed to provide affordable homes that met VA and FHA requirements and other amenities for middle-class workers in nearby industries, including the General Motors automobile factory Doraville Assembly, Delta, Lockheed and others.As a planned use development, the district serves as an early example of a mixed-use development, with schools, churches, offices and homes all located within the district.: 9  The Northwoods Area Neighborhood Association sponsored the nomination for recognition, and the Heritage Preservation Program at Georgia State University prepared the nomination materials and conducted the supporting research, interviews and community meetings as well as gathered and preserved a number of historic documents and pictures.: 4  The Northwoods Area Neighborhood Association has served the district for over 50 years of its history and continues to do so today by providing a sense of community for Northwoods and the surrounding areas.On October 10, 2019, the US Board of Geographic names approved names for two creeks based on an application from the Northwoods Area Neighborhood Association and with the support of the City of Doraville. The first is Northwoods Creek, which is named for the Northwoods Historic District. The second is Stewart Creek, which is named for Stewart Lake, which was formed in an old rock quarry dug during the Great Depression by workers with the Works Progress Administration. While the lake is no longer there, it seems appropriate that the creek bear its name.

Doraville is a city in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States northeast of Atlanta. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 10,623.

Yeshiva Atlanta (YA) was the first Jewish secondary school in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. It was established on August 28, 1970, and it ran until July 1, 2014, when it was merged with Greenfield Hebrew Academy primary school to form the Atlanta Jewish Academy, a comprehensive Pre-K through 12th Grade School. The final campus was in Doraville.

The Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS) is the state agency for libraries in the U.S. State of Georgia and a unit of the University System of Georgia. The service was initially founded in 1996 after the inception of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), and in July 2000 moved from the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education (DTAE) to the Georgia Board of Regents and University System of Georgia. Julie Walker is the current State Librarian.

Henderson High School is a former high school in DeKalb County, Georgia, now the site of Henderson Middle School.

Sophia Academy was a private, Roman Catholic PreK3-12 school in the Atlanta metropolitan area in Georgia. It was located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta and was located in Sandy Springs and then DeKalb County (later annexed by Chamblee).

Doraville Assembly was a General Motors automobile factory in Doraville, Georgia, just northeast of Atlanta. The plant opened in 1947 and was under the management of GM's newly created Buick-Oldsmobile-Pontiac Assembly Division created in 1945. It was closed on 26 September 2008 as part of the company's cost-cutting measures. According to an article that appeared in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on January 28, 2010, New Broad Street Doraville, LLC, a development company, has executed a purchase contract with General Motors to purchase the former plant, with plans to build a mixed-use, transit-oriented development. New Broad Street's deal fell through when DeKalb County decided against using its federal stimulus and property taxes dollars to partially fund the project.Doraville Assembly was one of two General Motors factories in Atlanta, the second one was called Lakewood Assembly, in the southeast community of Lakewood Heights, built in 1927. The site is adjacent to the four-track Doraville Yard, a railyard that primarily loaded GM automobiles into auto carriers, and is still served by Norfolk Southern for other uses. MARTA's Gold (formerly Northeast) line passes nearby, providing the rapid transit for the new land development around the Doraville station. As of 2014 the entire assembly facility has been torn down to make way for a new mixed-used, transit oriented development. A corner portion (about 20 acres) was sold off to the Nalley Automotive Group and will be located next to the current Brandsmart. It's the farthest location from the Doraville MARTA station, hence the least walkable. The site was purchased by Integral Group and Macauley + Schmit. They have developed a master plan of streets, parks and such which was approved by the City of Doraville. Plans include a "covered street" that will connect Park Avenue to the Assembly Doraville, by going under the MARTA station as well as 13 Norfolk Southern railroad tracks The former training facility on the Southern portion of the site has been converted into Third Rail Studios, a full service film and television production facility to serve the growing film and television industry in Georgia. Third Rail Studios opened in August 2016.
