Hloubětín (Prague Metro)

Hloubětín (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɦloubjɛciːn], German: Tiefenbach) is a district of Prague located 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) from the centre, belonging mostly to Prague 9, with parts of it also belonging to Prague 14 and Prague 10. There were 10,704 people living in this area in 2001. The area, first recorded in the 13th century due to presence of the Teutonic Knights, became part of Prague in 1922. Today it is mainly an industrial area, located on the edge of Prague's so-called průmyslový polookruh (industrial semi-circle). During communist times, Hloubětín was well known as the home of the Tesla company.

Hloubětín tram depot (Czech: Vozovna Hloubětín) is a tram and trolleybus depot in Hloubětín that has been part of the Prague tram network since 1951. The depot celebrated fifty years of service in 2001.

Kyje is a cadastral district of Prague, Czech Republic. In 2015 it had 9,036 inhabitants. The German name of Kyje is Keeg.

Prague 14 is a municipal district in Prague since 1994. It is located in the north-eastern part of the city, east of district Prague 9. It consists of four cadastres: Hloubětín (part), Kyje, Černý Most and Hostavice. The administrative district (správní obvod) of the same name consists of municipal districts Prague 14 and Dolní Počernice. Two notable historic buildings can be found in the district: Saint Bartholomew church in Kyje and Saint George church in Hloubětín, both founded in the 13th century.

Prague–Kbely Airport (Czech: letiště Praha–Kbely) (ICAO: LKKB) is a military airport located in Kbely, in the northeast municipal district of Prague, Czech Republic. Once Prague's principal airport, it is now used mainly as a military base for the Czech Air Force. Kbely airfield is no longer used as a front-line Czech Air Force base, but it is utilised by military transport aircraft of the Czech Air Force, and the VIP aircraft which are used to transport Czech politicians. Prague Aviation Museum is also located at this airport, with a collection that includes 275 aircraft. Kbely Airport is very close to Letňany Airport, located 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) to the northwest, which has two green runways and is used these days as a venue for air shows and other events.

Kbely Aviation Museum (Letecké Muzeum Kbely) is the largest aviation museum in the Czech Republic and one of the largest of its kind in Europe. It is located to the north-east of Prague, at the military airport Kbely.

Praha–Rajská zahrada is a railway halt (Czech: zastávka) located in Kyje in Prague 14. It lies on the railway line from Prague to Nymburk, near the metro station of the same name, and was opened on 10 December 2023. It is served by fast trains from Prague to Nymburk and Neratovice as well as local services integrated into the Esko Prague system. It is connected to Prague metro (a footbridge should be opened in the first quarter of 2024), and to local and city buses. The station was built as a part of a reconstruction of a railway between Praha-Vysočany and Mstětice.

Rajská zahrada (Czech pronunciation: [ˈrajskaː ˈzaɦrada], lit. 'Paradise Garden' or 'Garden of Eden') is a Prague Metro station on Line B. It was opened on 8 November 1998 as part of the extension of Line B from Českomoravská to Černý Most. The station was designed by Patrik Kotas. It has an unorthodox platform design, where trains in each direction are on a different level with the westbound platform being directly above the eastbound track. Due to its unique architectural design, Rajská zahrada was named the Czech Construction of the Year for 1999.

Kolbenova (Czech pronunciation: [ˈkolbɛnova]) is a Prague Metro station on Line B. It was opened on 8 June 2001 as an addition to the previously opened section of Line B.

In the Battle of Prague or Battle of Štěrboholy, fought on 6 May 1757 during the Third Silesian War (Seven Years' War), Frederick the Great's 64,000 Prussians forced 61,000 Austrians to retreat, but having lost 14,300 men, decided he was not strong enough to attack Prague. The battle is mentioned in the famous German ballad Lenore written in 1773 by Gottfried August Bürger.

Hrdlořezy is a cadastral district in Prague. It has population of 1,666. It became part of Prague on 1 January 1922. It lies mostly in the municipal and administrative district of Prague 9 while a small part is in Prague 10. The district is bordered by Žižkov, Vysočany, Hloubětín, Kyje and Malešice.

Prague 19, also known as Kbely (German: Gbel), is a municipal district (městská část) in Prague. It is located in the north-eastern part of the city. It is formed by one cadastre, Kbely. As of 2008, there were 6,149 inhabitants living in Prague 19. The administrative district (správní obvod) of the same name consists of municipal districts Prague 19, Satalice and Vinoř.
