Molehill Green is a hamlet in Takeley parish in Essex, England, close to the perimeter of London Stansted Airport, The hamlet consists of approximately forty houses and lies about 2.2 miles (3.5 km) north of Takeley village.It has one pub called The Three Horseshoes, a small village hall, a shop and a cricket club. Most of the houses are named rather than numbered, and it has only one named street, School Lane. The hamlet was originally called Morrells Green, which is now the name of a small housing estate in Takeley. The River Roding rises from a spring close to the cricket club. Molehill Green is geographically in Essex but its former postal county is Hertfordshire. Nearby are the hamlets of Chapel End, Broxted, Bamber's Green and the village of Takeley. There is another Molehill Green in Essex, in Felsted parish.

Pledgdon Green, also known as Pledgdon or Prison Green, is a hamlet in the parish of Henham, in the Uttlesford district of Essex, England. The hamlet is situated just over 1 mile (1.6 km) south-east from the parish village of Henham. Nearby settlements include the villages of Broxted and Elsenham.

Stansted Airport railway station is on a branch line off the West Anglia Main Line in the East of England and was opened in 1991 to provide a rail link to London Stansted Airport. It is 36 miles 67 chains (59.3 km) down the line from London Liverpool Street station, to which a frequent dedicated service called the Stansted Express operates. The short branch line was constructed at a cost of £44 million and opened by British Rail to coincide with the completion of the airport's new terminal building.

The Stansted Airport Track Transit System (TTS) is a fully automated people mover system which operates within London Stansted Airport in the United Kingdom.The transit system conveys air passengers between the main airport terminal and the departure/arrival gates, which are located some distance from the main terminal in satellite buildings. The system operates exclusively "airside", meaning that it can only be accessed by passengers who have first passed through airport security. The transit is provided free of charge, with easy access for disabled passengers and being electric far less polluting than the diesel buses that serve the car parks and remote aircraft stands.It is planned to close and demolish the Stansted TTS in mid-2025 as part of a redevelopment project, and replace the transit system with pedestrian bridges.

Chickney is a village and civil parish near Broxted and southwest of Thaxted, in Uttlesford, Essex, England. The parish borders Broxted, Debden, Henham and Thaxted. Chickney just has a parish meeting, there is no parish council. In 2001 the parish had a population of 38.

Henham Halt railway station was a station serving the village of Henham, Essex, England. It was located 1 mile 57 chains (2.76 km) from Elsenham station. It closed in 1952.

Broxted is a village and civil parish in the Uttlesford district, in the county of Essex, England. It is situated 11 km (6.8 mi) north-east from Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire and 23 km (14 mi) north-west from the county town of Chelmsford. The parish includes the hamlets of Cherry Green and Brick End. Broxted is in the parliamentary constituency of Saffron Walden. There is a Parish Council. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 526, reducing to 508 at the 2011 Census. The village lies on the road between Molehill Green and Thaxted. It has one public house, the Prince of Wales. In the 16th and 17th centuries, part of Broxted was known as Chawreth.

Mill Road Halt railway station was a station between Elsenham and Henham in Essex. It was located 70 chains (1.41 km) from Elsenham station. It closed in 1952.

St Mary's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the parish of Chickney, Essex, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.

Bamber's Green is a hamlet in Essex, England. It is located near to Molehill Green and close to London Stansted Airport. The hamlet has approximately 20 houses, no shops, no pubs, no church or no school. There is however, a small industrial estate adjoining Lathems farm at the junction of the entrance to the village and the road to Molehill Green and Elsenham.

Henham, or Henham-on-the-Hill is a village and civil parish in the Uttlesford district of Essex, England. The village is situated 2.5 miles (4 km) north from London Stansted Airport. The parish includes the hamlets of Little Henham and Pledgdon Green. Parish population at the 2011 Census was 1,233.Henham's parish church is dedicated to St Mary the Virgin. The community Village Shop & Post Office situated opposite the Village ponds is run totally by volunteers. The local public house is The Cock Inn. A dragon legend at Henham began with the 1669 pamphlet The Flying Serpent or Strange News Out of Essex, which promoted further alleged sightings of the dragon. Today, many signs in the village contain dragon motifs. Henham was a station on the Elsenham to Thaxted branch line. The village holds a bi-annual 10 kilometre run in the final weeks of May. There is a Tennis Club, Village Hall and OSCA (Hall & rooms for local activities). A monthly magazine "The Dragon" is distributed free to all residents. There is a bi-annual pantomime which takes place in the village hall in early January. Restarted in 2014 after a 10 year break, appearances so far have included "Cinderella", "Snow white and the Seven Princes", "Jack and the Beanstalk", and "Alice in Pantoland" Current notable residents include comedian Ed Byrne and actor John Savident. Hertfordshire, Minor Counties and Cambridgeshire cricketer Timothy Smith was born in the village.

Takeley Priory, dedicated to Saint Valery, was a Benedictine monastery in Takeley, Essex, England, founded by William the Conqueror between 1066 and 1086, that is to say, after the Conquest and before Domesday Book. The priory, with substantial landholdings in Essex and Middlesex, was given to the Abbey of Saint-Valery in Normandy, as a thank-offering for their assistance in facilitating William's crossing of the Channel in 1066 to invade England.In 1391 Richard II licensed the abbot of Saint-Valery to sell the priory and its lands to William of Wykeham for his two collegiate foundations, New College, Oxford, and Winchester College: the Middlesex estates went to Winchester and the Essex estates to New College.There are no built remains but the site, which now contains Warish Hall, is well preserved and has yet to be excavated.
