Wood Green, The Animals Charity was founded in 1924 by Miss Louisa Snow. She had been concerned at the large number of abandoned and injured animals on the streets of London following the First World War. This led to her opening a centre in a house in Lordship Lane, North London. In 1987 the charity opened its centre in Godmanchester, Cambridge. It has since become one of the largest animal rehoming centres in Europe, with modern facilities for the care of dogs, cats, small and outdoor animals. A veterinary surgery and kennels block were built at the charity's Godmanchester centre in 2012. This was largely funded by a gift from a dedicated supporter left in their Will. In 2020, the charity launched a Pet Collection service which covers North London, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. The service was introduced for owners who need to give up their pets, as well as stray animal intakes.

Noel Park in north London is a planned community built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries consisting of 2,200 model dwellings, designed by Rowland Plumbe. It was developed as the Noel Park Estate on a tract of land on the edge of north London as part of the fast growing development of Wood Green. It is one of four developments on the outskirts of London built by the Artizans, Labourers & General Dwellings Company (Artizans Company). From 2003 to sometime in 2009, the name was also given to a small park near the southern edge of Noel Park, formerly known – and now known again – as Russell Park. One of the earliest garden suburbs in the world, the Noel Park Estate was designed to provide affordable housing for working-class families wishing to leave the inner city; every property had both a front and back garden. It was planned from the outset as a self-contained community close enough to the rail network to allow its residents to commute to work. In line with the principles of the Artizans Company's founder, William Austin, no public houses were built within the estate, and there are still none today. As a result of London's rapid expansion during the early 20th century, and particularly after the area was connected to the London Underground in 1932, Noel Park became completely surrounded by later developments. In 1965 it was incorporated into the newly created London Borough of Haringey, and in 1966 it was bought by the local authority and taken into public ownership. Despite damage sustained during the Second World War and demolition work during the construction of Wood Green Shopping City in the 1970s, Noel Park today remains largely architecturally intact. In 1982, the majority of the area was granted Conservation Area and Article Four Direction status by the Secretary of State for the Environment, in recognition of its significance in the development of suburban and philanthropic housing and in the history of the modern housing estate.

Noel Park and Wood Green is a closed railway station on the Palace Gates Line in Wood Green, north London. It was located on the north-east side of The Broadway adjacent to Pelham Road. Its site is now occupied by Wood Green Shopping City. The station was opened by the Great Eastern Railway as Green Lanes on 1 January 1878, as the temporary terminus of the line, which was extended to Palace Gates (Wood Green) station on 7 October 1878. In 1884, as work began on the large Noel Park housing estate nearby, the station name was changed to Green Lanes & Noel Park; it was given its final name in 1902. Competing as it did with other nearby railway lines and the London Underground's Piccadilly line, the Palace Gates line was unprofitable; the line and the station were closed for passenger services on 7 January 1963, and for freight on 7 December 1964. Following closure, the embankment that housed the station and the bridge over The Broadway was removed. Nothing is left of the station.

Lordship Lane connects Wood Green (N22) with Tottenham High Road (N17). It lies in the London Borough of Haringey and forms part of the A109 road.

Wood Green is a London Underground station on the Piccadilly line. The station is between Turnpike Lane and Bounds Green stations and is in Travelcard Zone 3. It is located at junction of High Road, Wood Green and Lordship Lane. It serves Wood Green Shopping City and the nearby Haringey Council administrative complex as well as a densely populated residential area. It is also the closest tube station to Alexandra Palace.

The Mall Wood Green is a large shopping centre and residential complex in Wood Green, north London. It is generally still referred to by its former name of Wood Green Shopping City. As of 2006 The Mall had over 100 retail shops, seven of them anchor stores, 45 market stalls, and an average of 221,000 customers per week. The centre and the adjoining shops on Wood Green High Road constitute the commercial hub of the borough of Haringey and its surrounding areas.

London Turkish Radio (LTR) is a Turkish radio station specialising in music, news, and politics. It broadcast to London on 1584 kHz AM from 1990 to 2013 and currently broadcasts online.

The A105 road is an A road in London, England. It runs from Canonbury, in between Highbury and Dalston, to Enfield Town. The road is 8 miles (13 km) long. Part of the road forms Green Lanes, one of the longest streets in London, while the A105 also serves as the primary access route to the Shopping City shopping centre. The road originally continued north from Enfield Town through Forty Hill and Bulls Cross, crossing the A10 to the A1010 at Bullsmoor to the south of Waltham Cross. The section between Enfield Town and the A10 is now unclassified. The northernmost section has since been extended eastwards to become part of the A1055.

The Wood Green War Memorial is located on the High Road, Wood Green, in the London Borough of Haringey. It was erected in 1920 and paid for by public subscription of the people of Wood Green to remember the men of the area who died during the First World War. It was subsequently adapted to include the dead of the Second World War. It is grade II listed with Historic England.

St Thomas More Catholic School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Wood Green, London N22. The school was founded in 1952 at Holcombe Road Tottenham, London N17, fourteen years after work had begun on the buildings. It is the only Roman Catholic secondary school in the London Borough of Haringey.

Woodside High School is a mixed 11–16 comprehensive school located in the Wood Green area of the London Borough of Haringey, England. With a student roll of 1200, the school has been judged by Ofsted as outstanding for two consecutive inspections (2011 and 2014). In September 2006, the school was renamed from 'White Hart Lane secondary school' to 'Woodside High School'. Having had a chequered reputation, its head teacher Joan McVittie decided to give the school a make-over, with new uniforms and a new reputation. The school is now one of the best schools in Haringey, being 3rd in the Haringey league tables and in the top 25 of the most improved schools in the country. It carries a new reputation that is highly valued by the students. The school was built in 1962.

St Michael and All Angels is a Church of England parish church that stands on Bounds Green Road in Wood Green within the London Borough of Haringey. This church is not to be confused with the original St Michael at Bowes that used to stand in Palmerston Road before it was demolished and restored to a much smaller church and hall in the 1980s.The church was designed by George Gilbert Scott and built in 1843. Alterations designed by H Curzon were made in 1865. The chancel and tower were added in 1874. The building is grade II listed.
