Bangalore division is one of the four divisions of the Indian state Karnataka. The division comprises the districts of Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Kolar, Ramanagara, Shimoga, and Tumakuru.The total area of the division is 49,936 sq.km. The total population as of 2011 census is 22,523,301, making it the world's fifth most populous sub-division.

Rajajinagar, officially Rajajinagara is a residential neighborhood and business hub in the west of Bangalore. It is one of the zones of BBMP. It is bordered by Basaveshwaranagara, Malleshwara, Mahalakshmipura alias West of Chord road 2nd stage, Mahalakshmi Layout, Vijayanagara and Rajajinagara Industrial Suburb. Named after statesman C. Rajagopalachari, a plaque in the Rajajinagara pillar indicates that 1,000 acres of land given for the locality was divided into industrial and housing areas. The former consisted of 140 acres for textiles, 220 acres for machinery, 100 acres for chemical plants and 40 acres for the food sector. About 4,000 housing plots were created in the remaining 500 acres. Rajajinagara was built at an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh.

Minto Ophthalmic Hospital is a government run specialty hospital in Bangalore treating diseases of the eye. Minto Ophthalmic Hospital, (a.k.a. Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Minto Ophthalmic Hospital), was established in 1896, making it one of the oldest speciality eye hospitals in the world. The Hospital was started in Chikkapete area in 1896, moved to Lalbagh lodge in 1897 and later shifted to the present building in 1913 which was constructed during the reign of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV, the King of Mysuru state. It is affiliated to the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, and is an institution of national importance.It is a 300 bedded, tertiary ophthalmic hospital. It includes Community Ophthalmology, Cornea & Eye Bank, Refractive Surgery, Glaucoma clinic, Squint, Oculoplasty & Neurophthalmology clinic, Low Visual Aids clinic and a Vitreo-retinal & Uvea clinic. Hundreds of ophthalmologists have been trained at this institute since its inception. A tertiary referral centre, Minto Ophthalmic Hospital offers its services at subsidized rates to the poor and needy of Karnataka and its neighbouring states.

Bangalore Urban district, is the most populous district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is surrounded by the Bangalore Rural district on the east and north, the Ramanagara district on the west and the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu on the south. Bangalore Urban district came into being in 1986, with the partition of the erstwhile Bangalore district into Bangalore Urban and Bangalore Rural districts. As of Census 2011, its population has increased to 9,621,551, with a sex-ratio of 908 females/males, the lowest in the state and its density is 4,378 people per square km.

Victoria Hospital is a government run hospital affiliated with Bangalore Medical College now renamed Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute. It is the largest hospital in bangalore, India. Started by Shri Krishnaraja Wodeyar, the then Maharaja of Mysore in 1901, the hospital soon rose to be among the prominent hospitals in South India. Dr. Padmanabhan Palpu, a famous doctor and bacteriologist from Kerala was instrumental in setting up the hospital.

Chickpete is a Namma Metro station on the Green Line in Bangalore, India. It is part of the Phase I of Namma Metro project. It was opened to the public on 18 June 2017.

Hazrat Tawakkal Mastan Dargah is a Sufi shrine of Islam with a history of about 200 years located at Cottonpete of Bengaluru city. The dargah is considered to be the oldest and largest dargah in Bengaluru city.

City Railway Station or Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna is an underground metro station on the Purple Line of the Namma Metro serving Subhash Nagar, Sevashrama, Bangalore. It was opened to the public on 30 April 2016.A foot overbridge connecting the metro station with platform 10 of the Bangalore City railway station was opened on 18 February 2019. The BMRC reported that monthly ridership at the metro station was 175,000 passengers per day prior to opening the bridge, and increased to 250,000 two months after its opening.
