Achterhoek (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɑxtərˌɦuk]) is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Nijkerk, and lies about 6 km north of Amersfoort.It was first mentioned in 1608 as "in den Achterhoeck", and means "far away corner". The postal authorities have placed it under Nijkerk. It has no place name signs. In 1840, Achterhoek and De Veenhuis had a combined population of 190 people. Nowadays, Achterhoek consists of about 30 houses.

Amersfoort Vathorst is a railway station on the Utrecht–Kampen railway between Amersfoort and Zwolle. It is located in north Amersfoort, Netherlands. Since 2016, Nijkerk has started to build a new neighbourhood near the hamlet. It will consists of about 1,200 houses and cover an area of 59 hectares (150 acres).

Hooglanderveen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɦoːxlɑndərˈveːn]) is a village in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Amersfoort, and lies about 4 km northeast of Amersfoort. It is notable for the presence of a large Catholic church. Formerly, the village of Hooglanderveen was located outside of the city limits of Amersfoort, but the new residential areas of Nieuwland and Vathorst now mean that Hooglanderveen is surrounded by the city from three sides.It was first mentioned in 1899 as Hooglanderveen, and means moorland of Hoogland. In 1918, a Catholic church was built in Hooglanderveen.

The village consists of a single road, the Zevenhuizerstraat. It was first mentioned in 1469 as Soevenhuysen, and means seven houses. Zevenhuizen is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Bunschoten-Spakenburg. Since 2012, it has place name signs. In 1840, it was home to 31 people. Nowadays, it consists of about 30 houses.

It was first mentioned in 1807 as Nieuwkerker Vheen, and means "bog near Nijkerk". In 1840, it was home to 1,197 people. In 1908, the first church was built.

Duist is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Utrecht, located between Amersfoort and Bunschoten. The municipality existed between 1818 and 1857, when it was merged with the municipality of Hoogland.
