Zevenhuizen is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Bunschoten, and lies about 6 km north of the centre of Amersfoort. The village consists of a single road, the Zevenhuizerstraat. It was first mentioned in 1469 as Soevenhuysen, and means seven houses. Zevenhuizen is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Bunschoten-Spakenburg. Since 2012, it has place name signs. In 1840, it was home to 31 people. Nowadays, it consists of about 30 houses.

Hoogland is located north of the Amersfoort city centre. Although the new housing within Hoogland, the most residents are young. The average income is higher than the average income of Amersfoort and there live relatively few immigrants. The residents characterize Hoogland as a fine and good place to live. Bunschoten (pronounced [ˈbʏnsxoːtə(n)] (listen)) is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of Utrecht. It lies about 7 km north of Amersfoort. Its territory comprises the original municipality of Bunschoten (created in 1204 by the bishop of Utrecht) and the former municipality of Duyst, De Haar and Zevenhuizen, which was a part of Hoogland from 1854 until 1971.

Spakenburg is a Dutch village north of Bunschoten. Spakenburg is formally called Bunschoten-Spakenburg since its fusion with Bunschoten. The village lies south of the IJsselmeer in the municipality Bunschoten, Utrecht. It is one of the few places left in the Netherlands where some women still wear local traditional clothes. In the 20th century, the two villages have grown quickly, and since about 1965 they form one single town, officially named Bunschoten. The football teams IJsselmeervogels and SV Spakenburg are located there, and contest one of the most popular local rivalries in Dutch amateur football. Also the basketball team BC Shooters is located there. On the last two Wednesday in July and the first two Wednesday of August, there is an event in Spakenburg called the Spakenburgse Dagen (Spakenburg days), in which people dress up in local traditional clothing and dance and generally celebrate. IJsselmeervogels (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɛi̯səlˈmeːrˌvoːɣəls]) is a Dutch amateur football club. With seven national amateur titles IJsselmeervogels is the most successful amateur club in the Netherlands. The Red-whites come from Bunschoten – Spakenburg, in the Dutch province Utrecht, on the shores of the former IJsselmeer lake. IJsselmeervogels is placed first on the all time rankings, measured by the number of points scored in games at the highest amateur level in Saturday league football. (Since introducing in 1970 it was first named First Class 'Eerste Klasse' and later Head Class 'Hoofdklasse'). These days, IJsselmeervogels plays in the highest amateur league 'Tweede Divisie'.

Sportpark De Westmaat is a sporting complex located in Spakenburg, Netherlands. It is home to football clubs IJsselmeervogels and SV Spakenburg. The complex has eight fields. There are two stadiums at the sports complex. There are also indoor facilities in case of bad weather.

Schothorst is the second largest district by population in the Dutch city of Amersfoort. It is located in central Amersfoort, between the districts of Liendert, Landgoed Schothorst (an estate) and De Koppel. The neighbourhood was built in the 1970s and 1980s and today forms a quiet, leafy area of the city. The name Schothorst is composed of the words "schot" (an area that is enclosed by a wooden fence) and 'horst' (a sandy hill) and means, referring to the sandy terrain (left by the last ice age) on which the district is located. The Schothorst Estate was founded in 1780 and a villa, also named Schothorst, was constructed there in the mid-19th century.

It is a part of the municipality of Nijkerk, and lies about 8 km north of Amersfoort.Nekkeveld is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Nijkerk. It was first mentioned in 1250 as "in Ekelenvelde", and means field with oak trees. There are no official place name signs, however a farmer has put a sign in its driveway. Nekkeveld consists of about 7 houses.
