Rossington All Saints Academy

Rossington is a civil parish and former mining village in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England and is surrounded by countryside and the market towns of Bawtry and Tickhill.

Rossington was a railway station which served the village of Rossington on the Great Northern Railway's main line some 5.5 miles (9 km) south of Doncaster. It closed for regular passenger services in 1958 but was occasionally served by special trains until the mid-1960s.

Rossington Main Football Club is an English football club based in Rossington, Doncaster, South Yorkshire. They play in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, at level 9 of the English football league system.

Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies Football Club, previously Doncaster Belles, is an English women's football club that currently plays in the FA Women's National League Division One Midlands, the fourth tier of women's football in England. The club's administration is based at the Eco-Power Stadium (formerly Keepmoat Stadium) in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, while home matches are played at nearby Thorne Colliery F.C. They are one of English women's football's most famous and successful clubs, being one of only three non-London teams to have won the FA Women's Premier League National Division, in 1992 and 1994. Founded in 1969 by lottery ticket sellers at Belle Vue, home of Doncaster Rovers Football Club, they have also won the FA Women's Cup six times and reached the final on a further seven occasions. They are currently managed by Nick Buxton.

Bessacarr railway halt was a small halt on the Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint Railway in the suburbs of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. It was the first halt south of Doncaster, being just 2.5 miles (4 km) south of the town on the Joint line following a series of flying junctions and a direct connection to the South Yorkshire Joint Railway. The halt opened in 1912 but did not appear in public timetables and was closed in 1924. The site of Bessacarr Halt, along with 7 others, was highlighted as a possible "new station" under a report to Doncaster Borough Council in September 2008, with reopening at some future date a possibility.

St Wilfrid's Cantley is a Grade II* listed church in Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England, and serves as the parish church for the areas of Cantley, Bessacarr and Branton. It is a traditionalist Anglo-Catholic church within the Church of England.

Bessacarr () is a suburb on the south-east edge of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. Consisting of mostly private residential development from the 1960s onward, it also contains some of the most expensive property in Doncaster, around St Wildfrid's Road and Warning Tongue Lane. It is largely interwoven with Cantley to the north-east having partially signposted ancient boundaries, upon which its population was 19,803 at the 2001 census.The Bessacarr and Cantley ward within the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster had a population of 14,408 at the 2011 census, although this includes most of Cantley and Lakeside, and does not include Bessacarr Grange.

Doncaster iPort or Doncaster Inland Port is an intermodal rail terminal; a Strategic Rail Freight Interchange, under construction in Rossington, Doncaster at junction 3 of the M18 motorway in England. It is to be connected to the rail network via the line of the former South Yorkshire Joint Railway, and from an extension of the former Rossington Colliery branch from the East Coast Main Line. The development includes a 171-hectare (420-acre) intermodal rail terminal to be built on green belt land, of which over 50 hectares (120 acres) was to be developed into warehousing, making it the largest rail terminal in Yorkshire; the development also included over 150 hectares (370 acres) of countryside, the majority of which was to remain in agricultural use, with other parts used for landscaping, and habitat creation as part of environment mitigation measures.

The McAuley Catholic High School is a coeducational Catholic Academy in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England, and since 2003, a Specialist School for the Performing Arts. In 2014, the school was granted permission by the education authority to acquire Academy status, and thus now holds the status of a Catholic Voluntary Academy.

St Bernard's Catholic High School is a coeducational Catholic secondary school with academy status in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. Its official opening date was 26 October 1961 at 3 pm. The school motto is "I have come so that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10). The school prayer is the Memorare of Saint Bernard. The school was originally a 'Specialist School for the Arts', but now it has a specialism in 'Applied Learning' too. St. Bernard's allows students to study various qualifications, such as GCSEs, BTECs and Functional Skills, with most qualifications being equivalent to Level 2.

Royal Air Force Bircotes or more simply RAF Bircotes is a former Royal Air Force satellite airfield located within South Yorkshire, England. Although it was named after the village of Bircotes which is in Nottinghamshire.
