Potteric Carr is a large area of land to the southeast of Doncaster, in Yorkshire, England, over 3,000 acres (12 km2) in size.

Doncaster Collegiate Sixth Form "DC6" is a sixth form centre with academy status located in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England.

Spike Island was a workman's platform situated off the Great Northern Railway's mainline some 1.75 miles (2.82 km) south of Doncaster, England, by the Carr Wagon Shops. It was situated off the Down Goods Line and was served by a passenger train, running non-stop, under express headlights, known as the Spike Island Flyer. This brought staff from the main station to work in the wagon shops and returned them in the evening. The locomotive was the J52 which worked the wagon shop sidings during the day. The works closed in the early 1960s, production being moved to the plant works.The name "Spike Island" was given to the area around the wagon shops but its origins are unclear.

The A6182 is a dual carriageway in Doncaster that runs west and north from the former Doncaster Sheffield Airport to junction 3 of the M18 and then on to Hyde Park, an inner suburb of Doncaster. The road is named "White Rose Way" north of the M18, and "Great Yorkshire Way" south of the M18. The road's purpose is to link the city centre with the M18, from which drivers can reach the A1 and M1, and the now-closed Doncaster Sheffield Airport.

Lakeside Village is an outlet shopping centre in Lakeside, a suburb of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. Remodelled in 2003, it was previously known as The Yorkshire Outlet. Lakeside Village is owned by Hermes and operated by the retail property asset management company Realm, which also work together on a number of other outlet centres in the UK.

Don Valley is a constituency in South Yorkshire represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2019 by Nick Fletcher of the Conservative Party.Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, the seat will be subject to boundary changes which will include gain of the Isle of Axholme in the Borough of North Lincolnshire and the loss of Conisbrough to the new constituency of Rawmarsh and Conisbrough. As a consequence, it will be renamed Doncaster East and the Isle of Axholme, to be first contested at the next general election.

Rossington Main Football Club is an English football club based in Rossington, Doncaster, South Yorkshire. They play in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, at level 9 of the English football league system.

Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies Football Club, previously Doncaster Belles, is an English women's football club that currently plays in the FA Women's National League Division One Midlands, the fourth tier of women's football in England. The club's administration is based at the Eco-Power Stadium (formerly Keepmoat Stadium) in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, while home matches are played at nearby Thorne Colliery F.C. They are one of English women's football's most famous and successful clubs, being one of only three non-London teams to have won the FA Women's Premier League National Division, in 1992 and 1994. Founded in 1969 by lottery ticket sellers at Belle Vue, home of Doncaster Rovers Football Club, they have also won the FA Women's Cup six times and reached the final on a further seven occasions. They are currently managed by Nick Buxton.

Lakeside is a suburb of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England, centred around a circular lake. Approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) south-east of central Doncaster, it has recently seen new development and modernisation with the construction of several new luxury housing estates, a leisure park with restaurants, a cinema, and a bowling alley, the Herten Triangle, which has more eateries and fast food establishments, the Lakeside Village shopping centre, and the Eco-Power Stadium. The area has settled vegetation, paths, bridges, notice boards and space for public gatherings around the lake. It is split between the Town and Bessacarr and Cantley wards within the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster. Lakeside borders Bessacarr to the east, Belle Vue to the north, Balby to the west, and Potteric Carr to the south.

The Eco-Power Stadium (formerly known as Keepmoat Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium in Doncaster, England, with a capacity of 15,231. It cost approximately £20 million to construct, as part of the wider Lakeside Sports Complex that it resides within which in total cost approximately £32 million, and is used by Doncaster Rovers, Doncaster Rugby League Club and Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies Football Club.

Doncaster Rovers Academy is the youth team run by Doncaster Rovers to encourage and develop young footballers in South Yorkshire. The youth team runs 9 teams and has over 100 players from the ages of 8 to 17. Tony Cook is the current academy manager and was promoted to this position in January 2019 after initially joined the club as head of academy coaching in September 2017. The academy team plays in the Football League Youth Alliance, North East Conference and is only for players below the age of 18. Home games are played at the club's training ground at Cantley Park. The role of the Doncaster Rovers Academy is to develop players and their abilities to their full potential for the club's first team. Rovers youth team were runners-up of the FA Youth Cup in 1988 and the winners of the Youth Alliance Cup in 2012. The youth system currently has Category 3 status but with future plans to achieve Category 2 status Academy in the Elite Player Performance Plan which would make Doncaster one of the few teams outside the Premier League with Category 2 status.

Loversall is a village and civil parish in the City of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England. It has a population of 128, increasing to 156 at the 2011 Census.The village consists mainly of residential properties and farm buildings. There is also a popular children's nursery. Although there was once a village shop there are no shops currently located within the village. However, there is a major supermarket adjacent to Loversall Parish, within the development known as Woodfield Plantation. There are also a small number of shops and a Post Office in the adjacent village of Wadworth. Loversall Lakes (Quarry Farm) is a popular fishing facility and periodically the fields around Loversall are used for clay pigeon shooting. St Katherines Church is a Grade II* listed building. It appears to have been built before 1207 by the Fossard family, who owned the Manor of Hexthorpe under Count Robert de Mortain (half brother to William the Conqueror). Within the churchyard lies an early 14th-century tomb chest which is also Grade II* listed. Loversall Hall, next to the church, is a large but plainly-built house, its principal front built by the Fenton family of Leeds between 1808 and 1816, although the buildings at the rear are probably seventeenth century. Loversall was part of the manor of Doncaster, and its church, dedicated to St Katherine, was technically a chapel of ease in the parish of Doncaster, rather than a fully-fledged parish church. There are a number of working farms in the Parish, including Quarry Farm adjacent to the A60 and Loversall Farm, the farmhouse for which is located within the village. Pear Tree Farm, also within the village, is no longer a working farm but the farmhouse, thought to be around 250 years old, remains in residential use.
