Rossington railway station

Rossington is a civil parish and former mining village in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England and is surrounded by countryside and the market towns of Bawtry and Tickhill.

Rossington Main Football Club is an English football club based in Rossington, Doncaster, South Yorkshire. They play in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division, at level 9 of the English football league system.

Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies Football Club, previously Doncaster Belles, is an English women's football club that currently plays in the FA Women's National League Division One Midlands, the fourth tier of women's football in England. The club's administration is based at the Eco-Power Stadium (formerly Keepmoat Stadium) in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, while home matches are played at nearby Thorne Colliery F.C. They are one of English women's football's most famous and successful clubs, being one of only three non-London teams to have won the FA Women's Premier League National Division, in 1992 and 1994. Founded in 1969 by lottery ticket sellers at Belle Vue, home of Doncaster Rovers Football Club, they have also won the FA Women's Cup six times and reached the final on a further seven occasions. They are currently managed by Nick Buxton.

Rossington All Saints Academy is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Rossington, South Yorkshire, England.Originally known as Rossington High School, in 2001 it became a voluntary aided Church of England school and was renamed Rossington All Saints Church of England School. The school also gained specialist status as a Sports College. In 2011, the school converted to academy status and was renamed Rossington All Saints Academy. Today the school is sponsored by the School Partnership Trust in partnership with Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council and the Diocese of Sheffield.Rossington All Saints Academy offers GCSEs, BTECs and Cambridge Nationals as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels and further BTECs.

Bessacarr railway halt was a small halt on the Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint Railway in the suburbs of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. It was the first halt south of Doncaster, being just 2.5 miles (4 km) south of the town on the Joint line following a series of flying junctions and a direct connection to the South Yorkshire Joint Railway. The halt opened in 1912 but did not appear in public timetables and was closed in 1924. The site of Bessacarr Halt, along with 7 others, was highlighted as a possible "new station" under a report to Doncaster Borough Council in September 2008, with reopening at some future date a possibility.

Bessacarr () is a suburb on the south-east edge of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. Consisting of mostly private residential development from the 1960s onward, it also contains some of the most expensive property in Doncaster, around St Wildfrid's Road and Warning Tongue Lane. It is largely interwoven with Cantley to the north-east having partially signposted ancient boundaries, upon which its population was 19,803 at the 2001 census.The Bessacarr and Cantley ward within the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster had a population of 14,408 at the 2011 census, although this includes most of Cantley and Lakeside, and does not include Bessacarr Grange.

St Bernard's Catholic High School is a coeducational Catholic secondary school with academy status in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. Its official opening date was 26 October 1961 at 3 pm. The school motto is "I have come so that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10). The school prayer is the Memorare of Saint Bernard. The school was originally a 'Specialist School for the Arts', but now it has a specialism in 'Applied Learning' too. Cantley is a village and civil parish in the City of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England. The village is adjacent to Bessacarr, separated by Bawtry Road. It has a population of 2,830, reducing slightly to 2,817 at the 2011 Census.

Cantley Hall is a grade II* listed Georgian mansion set in 400 acres (160 ha), in the village of Old Cantley in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. It is constructed in two storeys of stuccoed brick with a graduated Westmorland slate roof.
