Hanover Community School Corporation is a school district in Lake County, Indiana.

Cedar Lake is a town in Hanover and Center townships, Lake County, Indiana, United States. It is near the Illinois state line. Its population was 11,560 at the 2010 census. The town is notable for its location on Cedar Lake, the Lake of the Red Cedars museum.

Monon Park Dancing Pavilion is a historic dance hall building located at Cedar Lake, Lake County, Indiana. It was built in 1897, as a one-story, open air frame building supported by brick piers. The building measures 55 feet by 110 feet and has a massive gable on hip roof with deeply overhanging eaves. It displays some Stick / Eastlake movement design elements. The building was acquired in 1915 by the Moody Memorial Bible Church, who enclosed and enlarged the original structure.: 2–3  A restoration project was underway in 2013. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

Lassen Hotel is a historic hotel building located at 7808 West 138th Place in Cedar Lake, Lake County, Indiana. It is a two-story, T-shaped frame building sheathed in clapboard. It has a hipped roof and features a wraparound verandah overlooking Cedar Lake. The eastern section of the building was built about 1890. It was moved to its present location during mid-winter of 1919 and the lakefront section was built onto it in 1920. Its grand opening was on May 7, 1921. It is home to the Red Cedars Lake History Museum, now the Museum at Lassen's Resort on Cedar Lake.: 2–3  A restoration project was underway in 2013. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

Brunswick is an unincorporated community in Hanover Township, Lake County, Indiana.

Midwest Training and Ice Center is an ice arena and gymnastics and recreational sport facility in Dyer, Indiana. It features an Olympic size sheet of ice for hockey, figure skating and open skating, a state-of-the-art fitness center and facilities for gymnastics. The arena was the home of the junior ice hockey team the Illiana Blackbirds of the USPHL Midwest until 2016. It is currently home to another team with the same nickname, the Midwest Blackbirds. The ice arena is also the home of local high school hockey teams and recreational teams. Current seating capacity for spectators is 1,500.

WRTW is a Christian radio station licensed to Crown Point, Indiana, broadcasting on 90.5 MHz FM. It is owned by Hyles Anderson College. Its studios are located in the former federal courthouse and post office building on State Street in Downtown Hammond.WRTW airs traditional Christian music and locally produced Christian talk and teaching programs, as well as national programs such as Thru the Bible with J. Vernon McGee, Family Altar with Lester Roloff, and Unshackled! The station has also aired local high school sports games.

Lake Dalecarlia is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,355 at the 2010 census. The name comes from the English name of the Dalarna region of Sweden. The community is centered on the lake of the same name, which was completed in the 1920s.
