Lake Dalecarlia is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,355 at the 2010 census. The name comes from the English name of the Dalarna region of Sweden. The community is centered on the lake of the same name, which was completed in the 1920s.

Lassen Hotel is a historic hotel building located at 7808 West 138th Place in Cedar Lake, Lake County, Indiana. It is a two-story, T-shaped frame building sheathed in clapboard. It has a hipped roof and features a wraparound verandah overlooking Cedar Lake. The eastern section of the building was built about 1890. It was moved to its present location during mid-winter of 1919 and the lakefront section was built onto it in 1920. Its grand opening was on May 7, 1921. It is home to the Red Cedars Lake History Museum, now the Museum at Lassen's Resort on Cedar Lake.: 2–3  A restoration project was underway in 2013. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

Creston is an unincorporated community that straddles the border between West Creek Township and Cedar Creek Township, Lake County, Indiana.

Monon Park Dancing Pavilion is a historic dance hall building located at Cedar Lake, Lake County, Indiana. It was built in 1897, as a one-story, open air frame building supported by brick piers. The building measures 55 feet by 110 feet and has a massive gable on hip roof with deeply overhanging eaves. It displays some Stick / Eastlake movement design elements. The building was acquired in 1915 by the Moody Memorial Bible Church, who enclosed and enlarged the original structure.: 2–3  A restoration project was underway in 2013. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.

Cedar Lake is a town in Hanover and Center townships, Lake County, Indiana, United States. It is near the Illinois state line. Its population was 11,560 at the 2010 census. The town is notable for its location on Cedar Lake, the Lake of the Red Cedars museum.

WLPR-FM is an FM noncommercial, public radio station broadcasting on 89.1 MHz in Lowell, Indiana and serving Northwest Indiana. The station is owned and operated by Northwest Indiana Public Broadcasting, Inc., which also owns PBS member station WYIN (channel 56), serving as an alternative to Chicago's WBEZ in the Chicago market's eastern reaches. WLPR broadcasts from the WZVN tower on SR-55, just north of SR-2.

J. Claude Rumsey House, also known as the Rumsey-Nomanson House, is a historic home located at 709 Michigan Avenue in Lowell, Lake County, Indiana. It was built in 1906, and is a 2-story, Queen Anne stick built home with a cross-gable roof. It sits on a concrete foundation, which was quite modern at the time, and features a round corner tower with fishscale shingles and a wraparound porch.: 2–3 It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

James Brannon House is a historic home located at Lowell, Lake County, Indiana. It was built in 1898, and is a two-story, Queen Anne / Free Classic style frame dwelling. It has clapboard siding and patterned wood shingles on the gable ends. It features a full width front porch and several stained glass windows.: 3 It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
