Queen Mary's Hospital is an acute district general hospital in Sidcup, South East London, serving the population of the London Borough of Bexley. It was once administered by Queen Mary's Sidcup NHS Trust established in 1993. Following the dissolution of the South London Healthcare NHS Trust in 2013 it came under the management of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, with other services being provided by King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

Sporting Club Thamesmead F.C. is an English football club located in Thamesmead and Sidcup, both in the London Borough of Bexley. The club is affiliated to the Kent Football Association. The first team plays in the Southern Counties East League Division One and the reserves play in the NRG Gyms Kent County League. Originally formed as Royal Ordnance Factories Sports Association (ROFSA), in 1966 they changed their name to Royal Arsenal Sports and Recreation Association (RASRA). From 2003 until 2011, the team was known as Seven Acre Sports, before being renamed as Seven Acre & Sidcup on moving to Oxford Road in Sidcup. The club's current name was adopted in 2016, following a further move to the Sporting Club Thamesmead sports complex in 2015.

Founded in 1898, it amalgamated in 1962 with Bromley College of Art and Beckenham School of Art to form Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, now Ravensbourne University London.

Sidcup is an area of south-east London, England, primarily in the London Borough of Bexley. It is 11.3 miles (18.2 km) south-east of Charing Cross, bordering the London Boroughs of Bromley and Greenwich, and is in the historic county of Kent. The name is thought to be derived from Cetecopp meaning "seat shaped or flat topped hill"; it had its earliest recorded use in 1254. The population of Sidcup, including its neighbourhoods Foots Cray, North Cray, Albany Park, Longlands, Ruxley, Blackfen and Lamorbey, was 43,109 in 2011.

Albany Park is an area in south east London, England, within the London Borough of Bexley. It is located 12.0 miles (19 km) south east of Charing Cross. Located midway between Sidcup and Bexley, Albany Park is situated on high ground overlooking the valleys of the River Cray and the River Shuttle.Originally a rural area used as farmland, the settlement was established by a commercial housing developer, New Ideal Homesteads, during the 1930s. They built two estates at the site, Albany Park Estate and Royal Park Estate, which were sold at cheap prices to working-class families emigrating from Inner London. The company also brought about the foundation of Albany Park railway station in 1935, providing transport links to the estates along the Dartford Loop Line. Following decades saw a number of schools and both a Baptist church hall and an Anglican church constructed in the area, the latter of which has attracted attention for its architectural innovation.

Bird College – Conservatoire for Dance and Musical Theatre is an independent performing arts school and college, located in Sidcup, South East London, in the London Borough of Bexley. The college was founded as a dance school by Doreen Bird in 1946 and now provides specialist vocational training in dance and musical theatre, at further and higher education level. The college is one of many providers of vocational performing arts training in the United Kingdom. In addition, the college also receives a grant from Bexley Council to provide music services to schools in the borough.The college prepares students for a professional career in the performing arts and has a reputation of feeding artists into West End and Broadway theatre, dance companies, television, film, pop music and other high-profile areas of the entertainments industry. Key areas of study include ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary dance, singing, voice craft and drama. Bird College is an accredited college of the Council for Dance Education and Training. Full-time students at the college study for either the Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre, validated by Trinity College, London, or the BA Hons in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre, validated by the University of Greenwich. The college is also an approved dance centre of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), and students can study towards the ISTD dance teaching qualifications.

Scadbury is a historic manor in the parish of Chislehurst in Kent, England. Much of the estate is preserved today as Scadbury Park, a 300-acre Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation. The manorial chapel, known as the Scadbury Chapel, survives in the church of St Nicholas at Chislehurst, and served as a burial place for owners of the estate, including members of the Walsingham family.

Scadbury Park is a Local Nature Reserve in Chislehurst in the London Borough of Bromley. It is also a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation. It is over 300 acres, and is part of an extensive wildlife corridor together with Petts Wood and the Jubilee Country Park. It has large areas of ancient woodland, especially oaks, and flowers include lily of the valley, which is rare in London. Ponds have London's largest population of protected great crested newts. Much of it is undisturbed grassland, and it also includes a working farm.The main entrance is in Old Perry Street. The entrance piers still exist. Also a West Lodge to the estate still exists, also on Old Perry Street. The London Loop passes through it from Sidcup By-Pass Road near its junction with Perry Street to St Paul's Cray Road.
