Hagemann Ranch Historic District is a 19th-century historic district containing a farmhouse and ranch located in Livermore, California. Within the district, the agricultural past in Livermore Valley can be remembered. It is owned and managed by the Livermore Heritage Guild, and is open to the public once a month.The Hagemann Ranch Historic District has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since January 10, 2008; and a California Historical Landmark since January 10, 2008.

Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is a public school district located in Livermore, California, United States. It is located in Alameda County. As of July 2023, the superintendent is Chris van Schaak.In addition to Livermore, it includes a portion of Dublin and a very small portion of Pleasanton.The district operates 19 schools: nine elementary (K–5) schools, three middle (6-8) schools, two K-8 schools, two comprehensive high schools and three alternative high schools. There previously were also two charter schools in the area, one K-8 and one high school, both operated by the Tri-Valley Learning Corporation, a local 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization founded by parents and teachers.

Donut Wheel is a doughnut shop. It was established in 1962, and is a landmark in Livermore, California. It is located at the intersection of the city's four quadrants. The Donut Wheel (then "Jack's Donut Wheel") was started in 1962 by Jack and Jean Weil. The Donut Wheel got its name from a suggestion from a man who worked with Jack at Stemple's. He said that he should call it the Donut Wheel because that is how people pronounced his name, “wheel” instead of Weil (pronounced, "while"). Jack and Jean sold Jack's Donut Wheel in 1972. Since then it has changed hands a few times, but kept the name.The building was erected in 1941, as a Purity grocery store. It was remodeled in 1958 by Hans Joachim Schiller, and is an example of Googie architecture. Hans Joachim Schiller was a German architect who fled Nazi Germany to Palestine and then established himself in Marin County after World War II. Before the grocery store, the site was occupied by an 1800s building called the Washington Hotel.

Rancho Las Positas was a 8,880-acre (35.9 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Alameda County, California given in 1839 by governor Juan Alvarado to Robert Livermore and José Noriega. Las Positas means "little watering holes" in Spanish. The rancho included the present-day city of Livermore.

The Mocho Subbasin is the largest of the groundwater subbasins in the watershed of the Livermore Valley in Northern California. This subbasin is bounded to the west by the Livermore Fault Zone and to the east by the Tesla Fault. Some groundwater flow occurs across these fault boundaries, but flows are discontinuous below a depth of fifty feet across the Tesla Fault and south of the Arroyo Mocho channel across the Livermore Fault. Surface watercourses in this unit include Arroyo Valle and Arroyo Seco.

The Carnegie Library at Livermore, California, opened in 1911 and continued in use as a library until 1966. It now hosts a historical museum and art gallery. The building was designed by William H. Weeks in the Greek Revival style and is included on the National Register of Historic Places. A weekly farmers' market takes place in the surrounding park.

Bank of Italy Building is a historical building in Livermore, California. The Bank of Italy Building was built in 1921. The Building was listed to the National Register of Historic Places on April 15, 1994. The Bank of Italy Building was designed by Edward T. Foulkes in the Second Renaissance Revival and Neoclassical architecture. The building is made of bricks from the Livermore Fire Brick Company, with marble floors. When opened it was the San Francisco's Bank of Italy's 13th branch till 1957. The building became The City of Livermore's City Hall from 1957 to 1978. The building later became Bank of America's thirteenth branch till 1991. In 1991 the building was sold to the Seppalas, who updated the building, elevator added and did seismic updates. In 1963 the building as housed The Independent newspaper that serves the cities of Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and Sunol. A marker was place on the building in July 1987 by the Livermore Heritage Preservation Commission.The Bank of Italy Building headquarters in San Francisco financial district is also on the National Register of Historic Places. Livermore (formerly Livermorès, Livermore Ranch, and Nottingham) is a city in Alameda County, California. With a 2020 population of 87,955, Livermore is the most populous city in the Tri-Valley, giving its name to the Livermore Valley. It is located on the eastern edge of California's San Francisco Bay Area, making it the easternmost city in the area. The current mayor is John Marchand.Livermore was platted and registered on November 4, 1869, as a railroad town by William Mendenhall and named for Robert Livermore, Mendenhall's friend and a local rancher who settled in the area in the 1840s. It is the home of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, for which the chemical element livermorium is named (and thus, placing the city's name in the periodic table). It is also the California site of Sandia National Laboratories, which is headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Its south side is home to local vineyards, and its downtown district is being redeveloped.The United States Census Bureau defines an urban area of Tri-Valley-area cities, with Livermore as the principal city: the Livermore–Pleasanton–Dublin, CA urban area had a 2020 population of 240,381, making it the 167th largest in the United States.

Isabel station is a planned railway station in Livermore, California. It is expected to open in 2028 as a stop for Valley Link. The station's parking lot and bus bays are located on the north side of East Airway Boulevard while the platforms and rails are located in the median strip of Interstate 580 just east of Isabel Avenue.The station was initially envisioned as being served by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) with an extension of the Dublin/Pleasanton line. In July 2011, the Livermore City Council voted to favor that stations be built at the Interstate 580 interchanges with Isabel Avenue and Greenville Road rather than downtown, as had been planned. The BART board voted against constructing any eastward extension in May 2018, thus granting the new Tri-Valley-San Joaquin Valley Regional Rail Authority oversight and funding for construction of a new rail service. Isabel station was integrated into the new plans.

Founded in 1891, Livermore Union High School is a public high school located in the city of Livermore, California, United States. It is part of the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District. In 2007, it was chosen as one in four schools in Alameda County to receive the California Distinguished School award.

The East Bay Athletic League (EBAL) is a high school sports league in the North Coast Section of the California Interscholastic Federation. The league was created in 1964; previously teams competed in the "East Bay Division" (EBD) of the Diablo Valley Athletic League (DVAL). Its member institutions are located in the eastern region of the San Francisco Bay Area, in the cities of Concord, Danville, San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton, and Livermore. In the fall of 2016 the E.B.A.L. expanded to a 10 team league (De La Salle competing in boys sports & Carondelet in girls sports) by adding Dublin High School, and Dougherty Valley High School. De La Salle stopped competing in EBAL Football in 2012-13 and competed as an Independent school in football. In 2018, De La Salle was re-admitted back into the EBAL Football League and now competes again for the league title. Also in 2018, the EBAL split its Football League into two "Divisions"; the Mountain Division (consisting of California, De La Salle, Foothill, San Ramon and Monte Vista) and the "Valley Division" (consisting of Amador Valley, Dougherty Valley, Dublin, Granada and Livermore). In 2020, Foothill moved to the Valley Division and in 2021, Amador Valley moved to the Mountain Division. In the fall of 2019 the E.B.A.L. expanded to a 11 team league by adding Clayton Valley High School to the league, competing in the Mountain Division in football. The league has twelve affiliated schools.
