Wilhering Abbey

Wilhering College is an Austrian private grammar school, situated in Wilhering, Upper Austria. It was founded in 1895 and is operated by the Cistercian monastery of Wilhering Abbey. Its roots as a monastic school go back to the 16th century.

Wilhering (Central Bavarian: Wilaring) is a municipality in the district Linz-Land in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. Its slogan is "culture and life". There is the Wilhering Abbey, a Cistercian Abbey, and a Rococo church, and woods around. The Cisterican Abbey was established in the 1146 and was then rebuilt after it had been burnt down. It contains sketches and paintings by Austrian Baroque painters. The church has a Rococo interior which is one of the best examples of this style in Austria.

Ottensheim is a municipality in the district of Urfahr-Umgebung in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. At its rowing venue, Regattastrecke Ottensheim, it has hosted numerous international rowing competitions, including various World Championships, World U23 Championships, World Junior Championships, and World Cups.

The Innbach is a river in Upper Austria with a length of approximately 59 km (37 mi). Its source is near Gaspoltshofen at the foot of the Hausruck hills and empties into the Danube at Wilhering. Its drainage basin covers 196 km2 (76 sq mi). After Gaspoltshofen, the Innbach passes the towns of Kematen am Innbach, Pichl bei Wels and Bad Schallerbach, at the mouth of the Trattnach. Near Eferding, it joins with the Aschach and a few kilometers later flows into the Danube downstream of the Ottensheim-Wilhering Power Station . Due to its high volume, many mills were once located along the Innbach. The Innbach is populated with many species of fish, among them: brown trout, brook trout, bullhead, minnow, grayling, gudgeon, rainbow trout, chub, barbel, roach, rudd, spirlin, perch, nase, dace, bleak, carp, bream, burbot, pike, zander, and catfish.

The Überlendner-Siedlung is a village in Upper Austria, Austria. Part of the municipality of Gramastetten, it is located a few kilometres from Walding.

Walding is a municipality in the district of Urfahr-Umgebung in the Austrian state of Upper Austria.

Puchenau is a municipality in the district of Urfahr-Umgebung in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. Until 1893 it was part of the neighbouring town of Ottensheim.

Gramastetten is a municipality in the Austrian state of Upper Austria in the district of Urfahr-Umgebung in the upper Mühlviertel.

Tiergarten Walding (literally, “Walding Zoo”), is a small zoo located on a hill in the village of Walding, in the district of Urfahr-Umgebung in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. Founded in 1967 as a smaller Animal shelter at a farm and Gasthaus in Pasching southwest of Linz, the owners moved the animals to a new location in Walding in 1973, and was granted zoo licence in 1979. Among other species can be seen Gibbon, Leopard, Lion, Ozelot, Zebra, Serval, Tiger.

Pasching is a municipality in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. It is situated a few miles southwest of Linz and borders Leonding, Hörsching, Wilhering and Traun. Situated along the famous shopping mile the Kremstal Straße, it is the home of many retailers. One of the biggest shopping centers in Austria, the Plus City is located in Pasching. Due to the vicinity of Linz many smaller industries have settled down here too. A major problem in Pasching is the heavy traffic along the Kremstal Straße especially around the shopping center. A by-pass has partially already been built from Traun to the Plus City. The rest of it is readily planned but a conflict on the financing of the construction between the affected municipalities of Pasching and Leonding and the Republic of Austria as the owner of the street delays the start of construction. Pasching got major attention for its football (soccer) club FC Superfund that played in the Austrian major league, the Bundesliga 2002-2007.

Kirchberg-Thening is a municipality in the district Linz-Land in the Austrian state of Upper Austria.

Rottenegg Castle (German: Burgruine Rottenegg) is a ruined castle near the village of Rottenegg in the municipality of Sankt Gotthard im Mühlkreis, Austria. It dates to the 13th century, and was built to protect a medieval trade route. After 1712 the castle was allowed to decay, and much of it has disappeared.
