Built at a cost of Rs. 5 crore, the garden boosts of 21 different varieties of palm trees.The Garden of Palm in Chandigarh has been developed on an area of 19.50 acres. It has rivulets, benches, huts, cycling track and eating joints. The garden was inaugurated by KK Sharma, Advisor to UT Administrator in July 2015.

The Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), based in Chandigarh, India, is one of the constituent establishments of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). The Sanitary Garden or Kala Sagar (lit. 'ocean of art') is an art exhibition in Chandigarh, India consisting of sculptures made from toilets and other sanitary items.The garden is a unique government museum where the world's largest collection of art created purely from damaged or discarded sanitary items is exhibited. The collection of artworks was created by the artist Vijay Pal Goel, who founded the project in 1998. The Sanitary Garden is situated in sector 36-D, Chandigarh UT, India.The main objective of the project is to generate mass awareness for the reuse of waste materials for environmental protection and to establish a tourist place for disabled people such as the mentally challenged, visually impaired and physically handicapped. The artist was honoured by the Governor of Punjab with the prestigious State Award on Indian Independence Day in 1998 for his contribution to the field of art.

Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Inter State Bus Terminus (Punjabi: ਬਾਬਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਇੰਟਰ ਸਟੇਟ ਬੱਸ ਟਰਮਿਨਸ) or Mohali Bus Stand (Punjabi: ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਬਸ ਅੱਡਾ) is an India's first air conditioned bus station located in the sector 56-57 (Phase VI) of Mohali city. It was constructed at a cost of ₹700 crore (US$88 million) and opened to public on 16 December 2016. It will have 1844 Punjab Roadways buses with 1810 ordinary and 34 super integral coach AC buses.
