The Chandigarh Hockey Stadium is a field hockey stadium at Chandigarh, India. It was the home of the Chandigarh Dynamos of the Premier Hockey League. It has a seating capacity of 30,000 people. It is the second largest terrace field hockey stadium in the world.Important tournaments held here include Indira Gandhi International Gold Cup, Asian School Hockey, National School Games Twice, All India Women Festival, Indo-Uzabekistak 1977, Indo Pan American Hockey 1995, All India Hockey Tournaments, and Punjab Gold Cup. It later served as the home ground for World Series Hockey's local franchise, Chandigarh Comets.

Garden of Springs, Chandigarh, is a park situated in Sector 53 of Chandigarh, India. It was inaugurated on 10 December 2015 by Chandigarh UT adviser, Vijay Devon.

Garden of palms is a theme based garden located in Sector 42 in the city of Chandigarh. Built at a cost of Rs. 5 crore, the garden boosts of 21 different varieties of palm trees.The Garden of Palm in Chandigarh has been developed on an area of 19.50 acres. It has rivulets, benches, huts, cycling track and eating joints. The garden was inaugurated by KK Sharma, Advisor to UT Administrator in July 2015.

Burail Fort is a fort situated in present Sector 45 of Chandigarh, India. It was built during the Mughal period. It remained under the control of the Mughal Faujdar up till 1712 CE. The Faujdar was very harsh to the public. He used to keep every newly married woman with him for a few days before sending her to her husband. People complained against him to Banda Singh , who sent the Khalsa Army, which captured the fort and killed the Faujdar.

The Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), based in Chandigarh, India, is one of the constituent establishments of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). It was established in 1984. The institute is engaged in research in many areas of modern biological sciences and microbe-related biotechnology, with special emphasis on research that is interdisciplinary and of a collaborative nature, such as immunity and infectious diseases, protein design and engineering, fermentation science, microbial physiology and genetics, yeast biology, bioinformatics, microbial systematics, exploitation of microbial diversity for bioactives and enzymes for biotransformations. The Terraced Garden is a public garden in the city of Chandigarh, India. Established in 1979, it spans an area of approximately 10 acres (4.0 hectares) and is known for its distinctive terraced layout. The garden was developed with the aim of providing a green space for the residents of Chandigarh. The garden is adorned with a variety of flowering plants, and the terraces are embellished with flower beds that bloom in different seasons. It includes a musical fountain, which is lit up during the evening. There are walking paths throughout the garden. It is located in Sector 33 of Chandigarh and is accessible by public and private transportation. It is open to the public daily. The Terraced Garden hosts an annual Chrysanthemum Show, a flower show that features a variety of chrysanthemums.

The Sector 16 Stadium is a cricket stadium in Chandigarh, India. It hosted its first One Day International match in January 1985 and its only Test match in 1990. It has hosted only four matches. The likes of Kapil Dev, Chetan Sharma and Yograj Singh started playing cricket at the Sector 16 Stadium. It fell out of favour to the nearby Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, (Mohali) cricket ground. After the stadium in Mohali was built, there was no first-class cricket at the Sector 16 Stadium for 10 years before Haryana ended the barren spell by playing the Ranji Trophy Plate League semi-final in 2004/05. But after 14 years, India and Australia played a match in October 2007.

City Bird Sanctuary Chandigarh or Parrot Bird Sanctuary Chandigarh is a bird sanctuary situated in sector 21 of the city of Chandigarh, India. It is primarily habitat of parrots. Hundreds of parrots live here. They fly in flocks in the morning and evening from here. There are two parks adjoining to this sanctuary. Flocks of parrots sit on the trees of these parks also. It is the second wildlife sanctuary of Chandigarh. Sukhna wildlife sanctuary near Sukhna Lake is another wildlife sanctuary of the city. It is notified under Section 18 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. The parrots wake up and sleep as per Photoperiodism. The Municipal Corporation of U.T., Chandigarh installed high post lights affecting the sleep pattern of the parrots. The Tribune (Chandigarh) highlighted the problem caused to the parrots after a local resident and bird lover, Harman Singh Sidhu brought it to their notice. The Wildlife Department, Chandigarh was apprised of the problem and the high post lights were switched off. The park is also known for its beautifully designed benches, which the teenagers popularly refer to as "Taj Mahal Benches".
