Carrow Road is an association football stadium located in Norwich, Norfolk, England, and is the home of Premier League side Norwich City. The stadium is located toward the east of the city, near Norwich railway station and the River Wensum. Norwich City FC originally played at Newmarket Road before moving to The Nest. When The Nest was deemed inadequate for the size of crowds it was attracting, the Carrow Road ground, named after the road on which it is located, was purpose-built by Norwich City in just 82 days and opened on 31 August 1935. The stadium has been altered and upgraded several times during its history, notably following a fire that destroyed the old City Stand in 1984. Having once accommodated standing supporters, the ground has been all-seater since 1992. The ground's current capacity is 27,359. The stadium's record attendance since becoming an all-seater ground is 27,137, set during a Premier League match versus Newcastle United on 2 April 2016. In the days when fans could stand on terraces, Carrow Road saw a crowd of 43,984 when hosting Leicester City for an FA Cup match in 1963. Carrow Road has also hosted under-21 international football and a number of concerts, including performances by Elton John and George Michael. The Carrow Road site includes catering facilities and a Holiday Inn hotel offering rooms with views of the pitch.

Carrow Works is a former factory site in Norwich previously owned by condiment manufacturer Colman's. The site covers 40 acres, and several of the buildings within its bounds are Grade II listed, as well as the Grade I listed Carrow Abbey. In production for 165 years, the site has been referred to as "historic" due to its impact on the industry and character of Norwich.

Norwich railway station (formerly Norwich Thorpe) is the northern terminus of the Great Eastern Main Line in the East of England, serving the city of Norwich, Norfolk. It is 114 miles 77 chains (185.0 km) down the main line (measured via Ipswich) from London Liverpool Street, the western terminus.It is also the terminus of numerous secondary lines: the Breckland Line to Cambridge; the Bittern Line to Sheringham; and the Wherry Lines to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. The station is currently managed by Greater Anglia, which also operates the majority of the trains that serve the station. East Midlands Railway operates the services to Liverpool Lime Street via Nottingham, Sheffield and Manchester Piccadilly.

Carrow Bridge is a bridge over the River Wensum in Norwich, England, carrying Carrow Road. The original Old Carrow Bridge was built in 1810 and replaced in 1833 by an iron bascule bridge. A new Carrow Bridge was built further north in 1923 to replace the old one, alongside what is now the only surviving bridge house in the city, Carrow Bridge House.

St Peter Parmentergate, Norwich (also Permountergate) is a Grade I listed redundant parish church in the Church of England in Norwich.

Foundry Bridge is a grade II listed stone and wrought iron bridge over the River Wensum in Norwich, England, carrying Prince of Wales Road, and linking Norwich railway station to the city centre. There have been three different bridge structures on the site. The first, completed in 1811, was made of timber and stone. This was replaced by a cast-iron bridge in 1844, and the current bridge was constructed in 1886.

The Nest was the former home ground of Norwich City F.C., used for 27 years between 1908 and 1935. Before The Nest, the team played at a ground in Newmarket Road. Today, the club plays at Carrow Road. The first competitive match at the stadium was a 0–0 draw with Portsmouth on 12 September 1908, with the final match being a 2–2 draw with Swansea on 4 May 1935. The record attendance for a match at The Nest was 25,037 for an FA Cup fifth-round tie against Sheffield Wednesday on 16 February 1935.

Riverside is an area in the city of Norwich in the English county of Norfolk along the east bank of the River Wensum. Very close to the Central Business District, it lies between the river and the Great Eastern Main Line, with Norwich station at the northern end and Norwich City's Carrow Road stadium at the southern end. The area was historically an industrial area with the river being Norwich's link to the coast. Companies such as engineering firm Boulton & Paul developed on the site. The engineering works closed in the late 1980s leaving the site largely derelict. For much of the 1990s it was mainly used as a park and ride car park for Norwich. In 1994, Norwich City Council, along with private stakeholders, presented the first development plans for the area. The first phases of the redevelopment opened in 1999. This has seen the area developed as a mixed use site with a combination of leisure, retailing and residential land use. This includes a major supermarket, a multiscreen cinema, a bowling alley and a swimming pool. Much of the entertainment landuse on the site is owned by X-Leisure, who own a number of similar sites across the country including the Xscape brand.

St Peter Southgate is a Grade II listed church tower ruin on King Street in Norwich in the county of Norfolk, England. First documented in a charter of the Benedictine abbey St Benet's at Holm between 1175 and 1186, St Peter Southgate was the fourth church in Norwich to be dedicated to Saint Peter the Apostle. It was one of the smallest churches in the city, featuring a nave, chancel, north transept, and west tower. It was demolished in 1887 after it was made redundant in 1884, its parish absorbed into that of St Etheldreda. Its tower remains as a ruin, the wider site now housing a playground.

Carrow Abbey is a former Benedictine priory in Bracondale, southeast Norwich, England. The village on the site used to be called Carrow (there are many alternative spellings) and gives its name to Carrow Road, the football ground of Norwich F.C., located just metres to the north. Granted by charter of King Stephen, the abbey was founded ca. 1146, and became a Grade I listed building in 1954.

The Ferry Boat Inn was a public house and 150-capacity live music venue in Norwich, England, which closed in 2006.
