Lingewaard (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌlɪŋəˈʋaːrt] (listen)) is a municipality in the eastern Netherlands. It is located in the province of Gelderland, in the most eastern part of the Betuwe. The municipality is situated in the lowlands between the major cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen, where most inhabitants work. Lingewaard was part of the Arnhem–Nijmegen metropolitan area until 2015.

Kinkelenburg Castle is a castle in Bemmel, north of Nijmegen, in the municipality of Lingewaard in the Dutch province of Gelderland.

Doornik is a hamlet in the municipality of Lingewaard, between Lent and Bemmel, in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. Most of Doornik was destroyed at a Dyke breach in 1799, the village never recovered. Doornik had an own castle which burned down in 1823.

Bemmel is a town in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. It is located in the Betuwe region, and falls under the municipality of Lingewaard. The town is situated between the major cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen, and is bordered by the Waal river in the south. Bemmel has a population of 12,161 (as of 1 January 2020).

't Zand is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland, in the municipality of Nijmegen.

Ressen is a village in the municipality of Lingewaard in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. Part of Ressen is now a neighbourhood of Nijmegen.

Lent is a neighbourhood of Nijmegen and former village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Nijmegen, about 2 km north of that city, on the north bank of the Waal river.

Nijmegen Lent is a railway station located in Lent, just north of Nijmegen, Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 June 2002 and is located on the Arnhem–Nijmegen railway. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The station opened in 2002 was actually a temporary station for 11 years. On 25 July 2013 the new, permanent, station was opened which features lifts. This station is located 250m further south than the temporary station.

The Waalbrug is an arch bridge over the Waal River in Nijmegen, Gelderland, the Netherlands. The full length of the Waalbrug is 604 metres (1,982 ft), the middle of the arch being about 65 metres (213 ft) high. The arch itself is 244.1 metres (801 ft) long and was the longest arch in Europe at the time of construction. Unlike many other bridges from the same period and with the same construction, like the IJsselbrug near Zwolle, the Graafsebrug and the bridge near Arnhem, the Waalbrug is an arch bridge in the literal sense: all forces truly work on the two pylons.

The Arnhem–Nijmegen metropolitan area (Dutch: Stadsregio Arnhem Nijmegen, pronounced [ˈstɑtsˌreːɣijoː ˌɑrnɛm ˈnɛimeːɣə(n); - ˌɑr(ə)nɦɛm -]; originally called Knooppunt Arnhem-Nijmegen [ˈknoːpʏnt -]) is a former Dutch plusregio, public body and intermunicipal institution, founded in 1988, for the co-operation in the areas of housing, transport and economics in the conurbation consisting of the Dutch cities of Nijmegen and Arnhem as well as the bordering municipalities of Berg en Dal, Beuningen, Doesburg, Duiven, Heumen, Lingewaard, Montferland, Mook en Middelaar, Overbetuwe, Renkum, Rheden, Rijnwaarden, Rozendaal, Westervoort, Wijchen, and Zevenaar. All except Mook en Middelaar (Limburg) are in the province of Gelderland. Its aim is regional cooperation. In 2022, a total of 774,506 people were living in the municipalities (1,000 km2). The Dutch Plusregio was abolished by law in 2014, and the Arnhem–Nijmegen metropolitan area has been liquidated 1 July 2015.

Ressen is a part of the village with the same name, that was incorporated into the city of Nijmegen in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. It is now a Quarter of this city.
