Ressen

Ressen is a part of the village with the same name, that was incorporated into the city of Nijmegen in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. It is now a Quarter of this city.

't Zand is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland, in the municipality of Nijmegen.

Doornik is a hamlet in the municipality of Lingewaard, between Lent and Bemmel, in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. Most of Doornik was destroyed at a Dyke breach in 1799, the village never recovered. Doornik had an own castle which burned down in 1823.

Hulhuizen is a hamlet near Gendt in the municipality of Lingewaard in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. Hulhuizen became Dutch in 1817 together with Huissen.

Lent is a neighbourhood of Nijmegen and former village in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Nijmegen, about 2 km north of that city, on the north bank of the Waal river.

Aam is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is located in the municipality of Overbetuwe, about 1 km east of the town of Elst. The hamlet is nowadays surrounded by Elst.It was first mentioned in the 11th century as apud Ambam, and refers to the Amba river. In 1840, it was home to 182 people.

Bemmel is a town in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Gelderland. It is located in the Betuwe region, and falls under the municipality of Lingewaard. The town is situated between the major cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen, and is bordered by the Waal river in the south. Bemmel has a population of 12,161 (as of 1 January 2020).

Nijmegen Lent is a railway station located in Lent, just north of Nijmegen, Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 June 2002 and is located on the Arnhem–Nijmegen railway. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The station opened in 2002 was actually a temporary station for 11 years. On 25 July 2013 the new, permanent, station was opened which features lifts. This station is located 250m further south than the temporary station.

Kinkelenburg Castle is a castle in Bemmel, north of Nijmegen, in the municipality of Lingewaard in the Dutch province of Gelderland.

Elst is a railway station located in Elst, Netherlands. The station was opened on 15 June 1879 and is located on the Arnhem–Nijmegen railway. The station is operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen, with the service towards Tiel operated by Arriva. Just south of the station the Elst–Dordrecht railway branches off towards Tiel. The station has 3 platforms, a waiting area with multiple covered waiting areas. There is a bus stop located at the west side of the station, a parking garage on the east side, and bicycle sheds on both sides At the time when the Elst–Dordrecht railway had an important significance for freight transport, was there a shunting yard (without a shunting hump) located east of the station. The tracks were broken up in the 1980s, and the location is no longer visible since the car and bicycle tunnels were built. At this moment is an outpatient clinic is being built on the location of the shunting yard. The trains from the Elst–Dordrecht railway have to cross the track in the direction of Nijmegen before entering Elst. Because the Arnhem–Nijmegen railway is quite busy, it was decided to give the trains from the Elst–Dordrecht railway their own departure track with a platform in Elst. This is a terminal track so that the trains to the Elst–Dordrecht railway no longer depart from Arnhem but from Elst. Construction of the third track started in early 2014. Since the end of 2014, the third track can be used. The end track has been put into use from the 2017 timetable, with Elst being the terminus of the Arnhem Centraal - Tiel train service once an hour during off-peak hours.

The Bemmel Theaterchurch (Dutch: Theaterkerk Bemmel) is a theater and former Catholic church building in Bemmel, Netherlands.

The Arnhem–Nijmegen metropolitan area (Dutch: Stadsregio Arnhem Nijmegen, pronounced [ˈstɑtsˌreːɣijoː ˌɑrnɛm ˈnɛimeːɣə(n); - ˌɑr(ə)nɦɛm -]; originally called Knooppunt Arnhem-Nijmegen [ˈknoːpʏnt -]) is a former Dutch plusregio, public body and intermunicipal institution, founded in 1988, for the co-operation in the areas of housing, transport and economics in the conurbation consisting of the Dutch cities of Nijmegen and Arnhem as well as the bordering municipalities of Berg en Dal, Beuningen, Doesburg, Duiven, Heumen, Lingewaard, Montferland, Mook en Middelaar, Overbetuwe, Renkum, Rheden, Rijnwaarden, Rozendaal, Westervoort, Wijchen, and Zevenaar. All except Mook en Middelaar (Limburg) are in the province of Gelderland. Its aim is regional cooperation. In 2022, a total of 774,506 people were living in the municipalities (1,000 km2). The Dutch Plusregio was abolished by law in 2014, and the Arnhem–Nijmegen metropolitan area has been liquidated 1 July 2015.
