Bourtzwiller (French pronunciation: [buʁsvilɛʁ]; German: Burzweiler; Alsatian: Burtzwiller) is the most populated quarter of Mulhouse, France.

The Cité du Train (English: City of the Train or Train City), situated in Mulhouse, France, is one of the ten largest railway museums in the world. It forms part of the Mulhouse Alsace Agglomération, the inter-communal local government body for the Mulhouse conurbation.Lutterbach is served by the Lutterbach station, which is on the Paris–Mulhouse railway and is the junction for the branch line to Thann and Kruth. Line 3 of the Mulhouse tramway links the station to central Mulhouse, and a tram-train service runs over the same tram route before continuing to Thann on the railway.

The Christian Open Door Church (Mission du Plein Évangile – Église Porte Ouverte Chrétienne [POC]) is a French Evangelical charismatic multi-site megachurch whose main place of worship is located in Mulhouse. It is the second largest Evangelical church in France, with over 2,200 people. The church is a member of the Francophone part of the Federation of Full Gospel Churches and the Conseil national des évangéliques de France. The senior pastor is Samuel Peterschmitt.

Musée National de l’Automobile, Collection Schlumpf is an automobile museum located in Mulhouse, France, and built around the Schlumpf Collection of classic automobiles. It has the largest displayed collection of automobiles and contains the largest and most comprehensive collection of Bugatti motor vehicles in the world.

The Doller (French pronunciation: [dɔlɛʁ]) is a river in Alsace (Haut-Rhin), in north-eastern France. It is a left tributary of the Ill (a tributary of the Rhine), in Mulhouse. It is 46.5 km (28.9 mi) long.The source of the Doller is in the Vosges Mountains, east of the Ballon d'Alsace, at 940 metres (3,080 ft) elevation. It flows generally east, through the towns Sewen, Dolleren, Masevaux, Sentheim, Reiningue, before it enters the Ill in Mulhouse.

Soléa is a public transport operator in the French city of Mulhouse. Under contract to the Mulhouse Alsace Agglomération, it operates the city's bus network and three of the lines of the city's tram network. It also jointly operates, with the French national rail operator SNCF, the city's fourth tram line, a tram-train service. Soléa is a mixed private and public sector company. Its principal shareholders are the transport group Transdev (67.8%), the Paris transport operator RATP (20%), the Mulhouse Alsace Agglomération (10%) and the Colmar transport operator TRACE (1%). Soléa carries more than 107,800 passengers per day, and serves a community of 245 367 inhabitants, in an area of 227 square kilometres (88 sq mi). It has 544 employees.

The Battle of Vosges, also referred to as the Battle of Vesontio, was fought on September 14, 58 BC between the Germanic tribe of the Suebi, under the leadership of Ariovistus, and six Roman legions under the command of Gaius Julius Caesar. This encounter is the third major battle of the Gallic Wars. Germanic tribes crossed the Rhine, seeking a home in Gaul. Prior to the battle, Caesar and Ariovistus held a parley. Ariovistus' cavalry cast stones and weapons at the Roman cavalry. Caesar broke off negotiations and instructed his men not to retaliate to prevent the Suebi from claiming that they were induced into a trap by their accepting an opportunity to talk. The following battle resulted in a Roman victory, which allowed the securing the eastern borderlands of Gaul and the temporary construction of Caesar's Rhine bridges for a tactical punitive assault staged in western Germania.
